I'm a sucker for ice cream coffee. It's beer last night.
Beer last night? That's fine, it was a week. Holy cow.
Some donuts?
Really?
I'm not gonna write on my sheet. Yum, look at that face. That is a face of delicious. First thing of the day, protein shake. She says it's nasty. I like it. Yum, look at that face. That is a face of delicious. I wasn't consistent on the steps, but I was consistent on the diet. Nina is not consistent on her diet. She's fairly consistent, but she cheats.
No.
You had beer last night.
Beer last night? That's fine. Once a week. Holy cow. You don't want to lose too fast too, because then you gain back easily.
Where are we?
Timmy's. What are we getting?
Coffee and some donuts.
Ready?
No.
We accidentally coordinated today. Nina's got her Believe hoodie on. I've got mine on too. We just, while we were changing, we came out and we're like, oh, we're twins. I'm taller and you're white and I'm white, you're Chinese, you know. But apart from that, we're twins. Usual breakfast, coffee. So for the coffees, I went from the coffee shop having 2 cream, 2 sugar in a coffee coffee in a large coffee to 1 sugar to milk, and that's been helping. And you get used to it, it's actually not that bad.
Those hash browns look huge today.
I came downstairs because the whole house smells amazing and I'm getting super hungry. What are you making? Chicken. Oh my God, so amazing. And then eggs. Can't wait to try, super yummy. Nina's cooking made me so hungry. It's not ready yet, but I got to eat. And I luckily still have some of my pumpkin snacks, so I'm going to eat some of these, fill the fuel up a little bit, and then hopefully enjoy some yummy Nina cooking. Dinner time. Kind of lunch. We didn't really eat lunch. We woke up late. What are we eating? Chicken and broccoli and rice and pasta. And I get chicken, broccoli, and eggs. I'm so hungry. How are you feeling? Starving. All right, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat. All right, just got the PDS. Gonna go into my class. Gotta work on my steps because I don't have enough. Okay, I'm teaching level 6.
Alex is in it, kind of.
So we are playing the catch-up game. Just got back. It's 9 o'clock. Uh, fun class, fun dancing after, but I still need 70 grams of protein. 70 grams, it's a lot. I also have my steps. I only have 11,800, so I have to hit 20,000 steps and 70 more grams of protein in 3 hours. I need 2 big things of pork chop, 2 big pork chops, and a little bit of protein drink to get to my— wow. Okay, let's do it. We got 3 hours. And go. This is what I have to eat. It's actually not that bad. I thought it'd be worse. I think it's doable. All right, 12 more grams of protein to hit my goal. It is 11 o'clock at night. That should be doable. How are my steps doing? 18,809. All right, that's doable. I can do 1,200 steps in an hour. I'm gonna hit everything, woo! Nina's gonna do some steps and some YouTube comments. She loves you people, YouTube. She loves you. Day 15 starting. Usual start to the day. Got my protein, 2 cups of lentils, and an egg. And start another day. Here we go. Alright, next up is the Nina smoothie. My voice kind of cracked as I said that. Very exciting. Alex is laughing at me. Lunchtime. I gotta tell you, those lentils fill me up so much that I end up eating so late. It is 2:26 and I'm eating lunch now. We've got chicken, broccoli, and bok choy, it looks like. I messaged Nina. Is the chicken— lunch chicken 60 grams? Yes. Thank you. Love you. Okay, we're about an hour away from leaving to go to the workout class and I figured I need a little bit more in me, so I grabbed a bowl of Nina's homemade granola with some almond milk. We got almonds, granola, nuts and seeds, and raisins. And some yummy. That's Alex on the side there working away. 1 hour to go, then workout class. We have a new assignment. A cup of carbs per meal.
More work for me now.
Except I help bring everything in, right? And there's lifting. And I pull the visa from the wallet to purchase.
Let's talk about like the main carbs like pasta, rice, steak.
French, a bread.
The heavy stuff, the heavier stuff. Since you guys have followed the protein rule quite well and you've been pounding it down like a champ.
Oh my God, you don't— so gross every day. Oh my God, that's so much meat.
Um, but do you feel full?
I feel full.
Yeah.
So your new rule, carbs for ladies, half cup, men, 1/4 cup.
On workout day, yeah.
Every meal, every meal.
What about on non-workout days?
Non-workout days, try to cut in half, cut in half if it's doable for you. Then awesome. And then for you, just cut that in half. And then you can either replace that with vegetables as well if you get hungry. Or pound down the vegetables, like cruciferous, like broccoli, carrots.
We got it?
Not sure what to do for the—
I think we're pretty close. Yeah, but just, we gotta remember, on non-workout days it's half a cup, and on workout days it's a cup. Yeah, we gotta figure that out, but I think we got it. We're gonna get it, we're gonna get it. Dinner time, and I'm super full. Nina's gonna have soup. What is this?
That's soup.
You don't have to worry about my soup.
Nina's having soup, and is this pork?
Yeah.
And salad. And I'm having pork, some salad. Let's dig in. I'm feeling a little bit peckish, so I grabbed a handful of nuts. I'm not gonna write on my sheet. Good morning. Yesterday I hit 20,230 steps. Same as usual, starting the day, protein shake. I started on my breakfast without making a video, but it's the usual, you guys are used to it by now. Lentils and eggs. The new thing is about carbs. So it's a day off of a workout, so I'm supposed to have a cup and a half of carbs for the day, and this is 2 cups of lentils, so that should be it for the day, basically. It's filling. Slowly getting there, but enjoying and just about to step into a hangout with Tim Schmoyer. Super excited. Okay, I just arrived at Alex's place. Alex, that coffee is smelling amazing.
Yeah, you want some?
I'm gonna have some. Okay. What are you making, man? Irish cream coffee. Oh, it's the Irish cream. It's killer, man. It's the Irish cream.
I'll give you a small cup.
I'm a sucker for Irish cream coffee. You want some Baileys? It's so good with Baileys, man. Anyway, no, Baileys is gonna kill the 30-day challenge. Not having Baileys. So I'm having a large cup of coffee there with 2 milks and 1 sugar. I feel like more could go in the cup. I feel like you kind of cheapened out on the coffee. Like, look at all that space until you get to the rim.
Hold on, hold on, hold on.
I feel like Alex— a little scrap right there. The Alex hospitality here. That's how much you appreciate that coffee, Evan. That's a compliment, that's a compliment, right? Right to the tippy tippy. There you go. Look at that, that's what I'm talking about. That's some appreciation. And Alex is using the mug that I got him from Seattle, which is the very first— from the very first Starbucks ever created. I love this mug. He insisted that I buy it for him, so. I wasn't gonna buy anything for him, to be honest, but then he said that, so now I had to get him, so. At least I know it's appreciated, so now I feel good. All right, time to have some lunch. Some chicken with some spinach, ready to go. Bonus smoothie time because Nina couldn't finish hers. Kale?
Yeah.
Okay, it's a little bit late, we had a busy day, but it's dinner time. Chicken and potatoes, we have to add some carbs even though I'm at my limit, and spinach. How is it? I mean, Nina's a little bit hangry, I'm starting to get a little hangry, so we're just gonna eat. That's it. Day 17, here we go. Woke up at 5 AM this morning. Don't know why, but got a lot to get done anyway. Start the day as usual, protein shake, and the day begins. Breakfast time, same as usual. You're used to it by now. It's so hot, it's steaming up the camera. Getting hungry a little bit earlier. Polly hasn't been up since 5 o'clock, so I went for some Nina granola, about 2 cups, and then some almond milk on top of it. Okay, I'm at TDS, just finished filming videos for the week, and I'm gonna eat lunch. Spinach and potatoes and chicken. I'm supposed to have extra carbs, but I had cereal. I'll still probably eat them anyway. Alright, dinner time. I snuck a cappuccino with 1 sugar at the car dealership we were at earlier today. Nina didn't want one.
You didn't ask me, you didn't offer me one.
Oh, well, the woman came up and gave it to me, so— Oh, there was a woman there too, huh?
You asked.
Alex is here causing problems. What else is new? And dinner time is ground beef and spinach. Look at kale. Look at, look at this. Look how much— man, ground beef does not have enough protein. Look how much ground beef you need to eat to get 60 grams of protein. That's crazy. All right, day 18. Welcome, welcome. Usual start with the smoothie, little shake. Little shake-up on the lentils though. Nina added some ground beef to the top here. Excited to start another day. Smoothie time. Don't know what's in it, but it's green, so it's kale-based. Just finished an awesome hangout that I'm super pumped about online. I had tons of great questions, so I was running on fumes, but now I'm hungry because it's 2 o'clock. Lunchtime is chicken and spinach. Time to get in my belly. So I don't know if it's just my body getting used to the protein or not. I used to be like massively full, like I can't eat anymore, the protein was just too much. And now maybe I just got used to it 'cause I find myself saying it's not enough, that I'm hungry. So I'm gonna have this healthy stuff. It's Nina's homemade granola with nuts and with almond milk. And I guess talk to Ace and Sean and see what they think. Get some wisdom. So we just got back from trying to dance salsa and I had to get a bar 'cause I was hungry. I got a Quest bar. We're both getting hungry during the day more and we're eating more than before. Yeah, so I don't know what that's all about. We gotta, we gotta find out. Yeah, anyway, we gotta go eat dinner. It's late, it's 9 o'clock. We're gonna eat dinner. Fish, what's for dinner? Uh, tilapia. Yeah, yum yum yum. All right, dinner time. Tilapia and spinach. I'm also like 10,000 steps behind my goal and it's 9 o'clock, so I got it— 9:30. Holy cow, so I got some serious stepping slash running to hit my goal. It's a rushed end of the day. Hopefully I can make it. Good morning, day 19, another day, another shake. 22,386 steps. It was a crazy dash and I'm excited for another day. It's a Friday right now, lots to do, super excited. Next up, back to the usual breakfast. Friday morning ritual. J-Rice brought me a caramel macchiato. There it is. There's J-Rice. You're in it. That's you, bro. That's you. Celebrity. Feeling the love in the café. Excited. Alright, lunchtime. Got, I think, some leftovers from yesterday. Some tilapia and spinach, and there's an egg here on the side. I'm gonna have it in a smoothie while I get in the car, go pick up Hayden, and have some fun tonight. Alright, it's dinner time. We're having tuna and eggs. Hayden's eating his carrots. Yummy carrots. Mmm. I'm a little bit behind. I ate some of Hayden's. He didn't finish his his dinner, so I had a little piece of his pork, which is about 10 grams of protein. Still behind, so I'm having another protein drink, and this will put me way over my total, but I'm now over my total and I'm happy. Alright, day 20, another day, another protein shake, ready to get started. Saturday morning tradition, Tim Hortons. I'm having my usual breakfast sandwich, 2 coffees. I am 1 sugar, 2 milk. Nina, what are you doing? Just 1 sugar? Black?
I'm doing one cream.
One cream, okay. Nina's got a chili.
Chili has a lot more protein.
That's the kind of bread though too, hello. And Hayden is having what?
I'm having bagel and hash brown.
Bagel and hash brown.
And I got two Timbits.
And two Timbits. You want to show us which ones?
Birthday cake and chocolate. Ah, nice.
All right. Yummy! Hayden is also rocking his new hoodie today. Yeah, nice. All right, we're driving to the Metro Convention Center for an interior design show. We haven't eaten much, we are getting hangry, getting hangry. Nina's gonna take over the camera and show you what she's made for us to eat.
This is Evan's lunch. It's shaky a lot because we're in the car and Evan's driving like crazy. Just kidding. So this is 1.5 cans of tuna with 2 eggs and some— I cut up some spinach and celery and mix it together. Yummy! Bon appétit, guys!
This is probably pretty scary. We're rushing to go see a movie, Ip Man 3. We gotta get there super quick. And Nina made dinner for us that we're gonna eat in the car as we get there. We're gonna meet Louis, one of my buddies, entrepreneurs. What are we eating?
Pork chop with mushrooms and onions.
Oh my God, it smells so good.
Yeah, 20 grams because that's all I eat, and Evan is having 80 grams.
80 grams! 80 grams of pork! Holy cow, you're gonna have to feed me as I drive. Yum, yum, yum! Here we go! Alright! Day 21— Sunday morning means it's weigh-in day. Excited? I don't know... scared.
Da da da da da daaa! Whoa!
Look who joined us! Okay, Nina's gonna go first. 127.5 went to 123.6 went to 122.7 and she's going to get on and go to— Here she goes. 121.4. My turn. I went from 206.6 to 200.9 to 195.5. 193.7. Not the biggest drop compared to other weeks, but had some cheats in there. Had some extra carbs and Anyway, gotta stay focused for the last week of the diet.
Okay?
Okay. That's it. I'm excited.
