If you're doing the same routine every day, if you're stuck doing the same thing every day, then your business and your life are going to get stale. You're going to end up in a slump, not quite sure how you got there, and unsure of how to break free. Hi, I'm Evan Carmichael, and I believe that hungry entrepreneurs deserve help. And I've seen too many entrepreneurs go down that road. You know, it's really exciting at the beginning, you have tons of energy and ideas, you're building your business, and then somewhere along the way You hit a slump. Things just aren't happening anymore. You run out of ideas for the company. It's just not exciting anymore. Things get boring. And one of the main reasons for that happening is there's nothing new happening in your life or in your business. You have to inject newness consistently if you want to come up with new ideas to grow your company. We get stuck in doing the same routine and doing the same thing day in, day out in our business as well as our life. And if you don't want to end up in that slump, you have to do new things. You have to inject newness on a consistent basis. Here's some of the things that I do that may help spark some ideas for you. First, a simple thing: when I eat out, I try to do a new restaurant every week. We get stuck eating the same thing for dinner, going to the same places, or eating the same thing at home. Shake it up a little bit. I'll go to Urbanspoon.com once a week. I have no affiliation with them, just love the site. And I'll find a new restaurant around me, and I'll go check out a new place and see what happens. I try to pick up new skills and new hobbies, especially things that keep me active. I find when I'm moving around, I get new ideas, I get more energy, I feel happier. So this year I've picked up snowboarding, I've picked up the ripstick, I've picked up new dances like kizomba and bachata. And now I'm going to start picking up yoga. We'll see how that goes. And most importantly, I try to adopt the mentality of I'll try almost anything once. Almost. I have limits. But I'll try to adopt that mentality where people say, "Do you want to come do this with me? Do you want to try this thing out?" I try to say yes, even though it's going to push my comfort zones. And push the barriers that I set up for myself. And that injects newness into your life, and it makes you happier, and it gives you energy. And you bring that to your business. When you are happier and you have more energy and you're doing new things, you're gonna have new ideas for your company. You're gonna feel like this thing has a chance again. You're gonna break out of your slump. And I know what you're thinking: try new things, is hard and it's scary, right? What if you don't like it? What if you waste your time or your money trying something new? What if you embarrass yourself in front of other people? Yeah, it's gonna happen. But if you don't try new things at least once, try it at least once, then you're gonna get stuck in this slump and you're never gonna break free. And that's gonna impact your business, but also your life and all the people around you. You have to keep finding ways to inject newness into your business and into your life, and it'll have a ripple effect across not only yourself but all the people that you know. So if you feel like you're near a slump, if you're feeling you just can't break free in your business or in your personal life, try doing something new. Try breaking out of your routine and see what happens. Good luck. For those of you watching, if you like this video, please give it a thumbs up below. It always makes me want to do more for you.
