In this collaborative video, members of the running community answer the PATH Project’s call to action during the COVID‑19 shutdown. A diverse group of runners—including a paramedic in South Korea, a nurse practitioner, a firefighter in Boulder, and runners from Durham, Honolulu, London, and other locations—share where they are running, how they are socially distancing, and what they are doing to stay healthy and positive. They discuss coping strategies such as spending time with family, reading, playing board games, and maintaining a consistent running routine. The speakers offer encouragement, practical advice (set goals, control what you can, stay kind), and a hopeful outlook that the pandemic will pass, urging fellow runners to keep moving and stay grateful.

Hey everybody, what's happening? Charlie Engel coming to you from Durham, North Carolina. What's up, friends of PATH? Coach Nate here from The Run Experience. Billy Ehring from Hermosa Beach, California. Husband and wife team. My name's John, I live in London.
I am from Honolulu, Hawaii.
Hi, my name is Scott Ward.
I'm Don Freeman. We're with Trail Runner Nation and we're responding to PATH Project's call to action. Tell us what you're gonna do during this period of shut-in.
I've come out here to socially distance myself. Now I'm gonna go for a run. Social distancing time. The Pacific Northwest, lots of trees, lots of green. This is where I run. I run in New York City. There's a runner right there. I live in South Korea. I'm just grateful to be able to get outside. I'm getting a quick sunrise run in between my 12-hour shifts as a paramedic this weekend.
I work in healthcare. I'm a nurse practitioner and see patients.
Firefighter in town in Boulder and Gosh, we've been super busy. My big message and how I'm dealing with this is changing one word from thinking that I have to run today or I have to do something today, the idea that I get to do something today. I plan to take this time to read a couple of books and break out the board games with the kids. One of the things I'm looking forward to the most is getting to spend some quality time with my wife. I'm looking forward to spending more time with my kids. Spending time with my family. And hopefully try not to annoy the wife too, too much.
Right now I'm focusing on getting outdoors as much as I can, running every day.
We're just getting out whilst we can. At the moment the UK is not on lockdown. I hope it'll stay that way, but if it does, at least we can enjoy this. If not, treadmill in the city, whatever it takes. I keep on training. You should keep on training too. My advice is to just look up. I don't think we look up enough. Be kind during these hard times. Be grateful and go outside. Do a challenge, make sure you have a goal set, and be consistent with it. And bring some good company. Control what you can control and release what you can't. And prepare for the sunny days to come. Positive, eat well, sleep well, hug your wife, your kids, and more importantly, keep running, keep exercising. Stick to the path. This will all pass. I'll see you down the trail.
