In this brief YouTube update, Floris Gierman shares the growing momentum within the Extramilest Facebook community, giving shout‑outs to moderators Jeroen and Xaba for keeping the group organized. He announces that he is preparing a blog post and a short video that will distill the key lessons he learned from the last three podcast guests—Jonathan Walton, Josh Sambrook, and Jason Cherryman—and how he plans to apply those insights to his own training. Floris mentions that he is contemplating racing again toward the end of the year and is eager to experiment with new approaches. He then asks the community to contribute by commenting on his new blog post (extramileus.com/community) with their experiences, especially regarding low‑heart‑rate training, nutrition, stress management, and any challenges they’ve faced. He emphasizes that sharing successes and struggles can help others break through training plateaus, qualify for races like Boston, or simply enjoy running more. The video ends with a thank‑you to the active members and a promise of more updates soon.

Hello everyone, Floris here with a quick little update. A lot of momentum happening in the Extramilest Facebook group, super stoked to see all of that. Special shout out to Jeroen and Xaba for helping keep everything under control over there. A lot of updates from all around the world, all of the different runners sharing their race experiences, sharing their training progress, and people just helping each other out, so that's really cool to see. I'm actually working on a blog post and my own little video, how I'm going to be applying all of my learnings from the last 3 podcast guests and how I'm going to be using this for my own training as well. So we just had Jonathan Walton, Josh Sambrook, and Jason Cherryman on there, and they shared such a wealth of knowledge. I learned a lot of stuff myself as well. So I'm going to summarize what I'm going to be taking away from that. I am considering racing again at the end of this year, so very stoked to experiment with some new things. I do want to ask for a favor, and that is the following. On my blog, I just created a new post, and it's over at extramileus.com/community. I've noticed that quite a few people have improved significantly in their running with low heart rate training. Improving their nutrition and keeping their stress under control as well. And many people have improved, whether it's from a 5-hour marathon to a 4-hour marathon. People explaining that they just overall have found more joy in their running, or people actually finally being able to qualify for the Boston Marathon, which for many people has been a long-time goal. So I wanted to ask if you can share some of your experiences because I've also noticed quite a few people are still struggling with low heart rate training. Whether they are not progressing at all, whether they have to walk a lot themselves. I think it would be very beneficial for people who are hitting a block in that training, who are not progressing, who are not seeing much improvements happening, to hear it from other people who have experienced that as well. How they have overcome some of those struggles, how they have overcome some of the frustrations that they're experiencing initially with low heart rate training. If you could do me a favor and leave a brief little comment, that would be very helpful. Many exciting updates in the works. I will be posting very soon again. And just a quick thank you for everyone for being an awesome active member of the Extramilers community. Thanks guys, we'll talk to you soon. Later.
