Forrest Galante argues we've engineered life so comfortable that people now pay for cold plunges and saunas to get the stress their bodies need. Gary Brecka adds that we should eat grass-fed meat, pasture-raised eggs, and free-range chicken instead of processed alternatives.
We've created so much pursuit of comfort that we have to now simulate discomfort. That's it. Because we're not doing it naturally. Imagine taking a treadmill to a guy in Africa and be like, just get on here for exercise. He's like, well, what am I chasing? You're like, no, nothing. Just run on this machine. He would look at you like you're an absolute lunatic. We're not sleeping out in the cold and walking in the heat, which these people all around the world are, but not us, myself included. I have to go sit in my cold plunge and get my sauna. And that's just a microcosm of how absurd we have created our culture, like how backwards we're going in a sense.
Just think how important that must be to human survival. and function. You don't even need to eat or drink. Talk about farm-raised, grass-fed meats and pasture-raised eggs and free-range chicken. There should be no other kind.
