Gary Brecka discusses a study on hydrogen-rich water and caffeine in sleep-deprived coffee drinkers. Brain scans showed hydrogen water boosted attention without changing brain metabolism. He argues it could help the 80% of people who are chronically stressed and relying on caffeine to stay sharp.

Adding hydrogen-rich water to your morning routine is something I do every single day. I'm a huge fan of hydrogen-rich water. I just wanted to alert you to one study in particular. This was in the Wiley Journal of Food Science and Nutrition, very respected journal. Hydrogen-rich water and caffeine for alertness and brain metabolism in sleep-deprived habitual coffee drinkers. So that probably sounds like you. And what was interesting about this study, it was a very well-conducted trial. They did brain scans. So the conclusion section of the study just said that the attention enhancement driven by hydrogen-rich water appears to go with no notable changes in brain metabolism. So if you're somebody that is chronically stressed, you're regularly sleep deprived, you rely heavily on caffeine, which is probably 80% of the people watching this, hydrogen-rich water does have benefits to add to your morning routine. It can help wake the brain up, improve that circulation, improve focus, concentration, short-term recall, processing speed, all those things that we want, especially when we're stressed and sleep deprived and caffeine's not having the same kick that it used to.
