In this Spanish monologue, the speaker uses the popular debate of Messi versus Cristiano Ronaldo as a springboard to criticize how people base their self‑worth on social status, external achievements, and material possessions. He argues that such "valor social" is fragile—if a person loses a title, a car, a watch, or a company, their perceived value disappears. Instead, the speaker urges listeners to focus on their "esencia," the intrinsic core of who they are, and to assess others by that essence rather than by superficial markers. He warns that constant comparison leads to suffering, emphasizing the need to recognize and cultivate one's inner essence.
