No matter what choice you make in life, it's guaranteed to be hard, but you get to choose that hard. Being in shape is hard. Being out of shape is hard. Being rich is hard. Being poor is hard. Chasing after your dreams is hard. Running from your dreams is hard. The only difference is you're choosing to go through the hard now instead of postponing it to the future. Now some of you prefer to delay the hard. You think that giving in to instant satisfaction is better than delayed gratification. You choose to sleep in. You choose to skip workouts. You choose to be absent from your family. I mean, you probably even choose to eat your dessert before your veggies. Not me. I choose to wake up at 5 AM to build my business so in 30 years I'm not waking up at 5 AM to build somebody else's. I choose to go on that 5-mile run gasping for air so in 30 years I'm not gasping for air on that 5-minute walk. I choose after a 12-hour workday of getting punched, kicked, and thrown downstairs to come home and play Daddy Monster chasing my little girls around the house giving them all my attention so in 30 years I'm not chasing them around begging for some of theirs. I'm choosing to go through the hard now so in 30 years I won't have to. Choose your hard. I know what I'm gonna choose. Do you?
