Do you see the blessings in your struggles? The struggles that you're currently going through are preparing you for the blessings that you asked for. Now let me say that again. The struggles that you are currently going through are preparing you for the blessings that you asked for. See, once you begin to shift your perspective, your life begins to change. Now I wish somebody would have told me that in my younger years. Would have saved me a lot of stress. But you know, when you're really going through it, and I mean in the trenches, fighting, just trying to survive, asking why me? Those are the moments in your life that become the most pivotal. How was I supposed to know when I was laying in a hospital bed in the middle of the night, getting asphalt painfully scraped out of my foot after it had just been ran over and dragged down the street, that that was preparing me for the beatings and pain that come along with being a stuntman? Or when I found myself in Denver, a city foreign to me, standing outside of a restaurant, starving, with tears in my eyes because I only had $2 in my pocket, was preparing me for a career change the day after graduating college, moving down to Los Angeles, another city foreign to me, with only $300 to my name. Or waking up at 5 AM to tape ankles for the local college football team and then go to classes from 7 AM to noon, and then commute an hour and a half to clock in for my 2 PM shift at the airport, and then pray, really pray, that there was no flight delays so I can be off by 11 PM to then race back home, be in bed by 1 AM to turn around and do it all over again the next day, was preparing me for 5 AM call times and 16-hour shoot days working as an actor and a stuntman on award-winning shows and networks living out the blessings that I asked for. Shift your perspective and your life begins to change.
