Grace vs. Law - Neville Goddard (12-18-1964) | Full Reading + Commentary

This is a YouTube video titled "Grace vs. Law - Neville Goddard (12-18-1964) | Full Reading + Commentary" created on May 13, 2025. The content appears to be a full reading and commentary on a topic related to grace and law, likely a spiritual or philosophical discussion based on Neville Goddard's teachings. There is no indication of multiple speakers or conversational dialogue involving Gilbert Anaya.
If I contemplate the act, along with its consequences to myself and others, I may restrain the impulse. But I am told that's still not good enough. The very contemplation of the act was in itself the act. Remember mental level. Therefore, we come to one conclusion, that cockade. Excuse me. We come to one conclusion. That causation must be imaginal. I imagined a state, and just to imagine the state was to be convicted of having performed that act. Imagine any state, that's what I'm told by Christ's interpretation of the law as it was given through Moses. Now, grace is simply God's gift of himself to man. Grace is unconditional. You do not earn it. It's a gift, unearned, unmerited. No one can earn it. No one could be good enough to get it. Therefore all will receive it as a gift. Grace is the end. The end is God. So when a psalmist said, lord, let me know my end. For if I know the end, then all that goes before it and then makes sense. And for all that goes before it will then make sense. It gives meaning to everything that goes before it. If I can see the end, the end may be far off in time. But do let me know my end, said the psalmist. Without knowing the end, nothing seems to have meaning. All go towards an inevitable grave. But if I know the end well, then I can sustain anything else in this world. I don't care what it is. Show me the end. So this is grace and law. Let us turn, to make it a practical night, turn to the law. Because I have told you week after week about grace. It comes in a strange, wonderful way. And you do not know why you of all people should be chosen at that moment in time to be given God's grace. As I've said before, the man who has received God's grace finds himself ascribing the entire process of his salvation to God's action. If he's honest with himself, he will admit that he himself has had nothing to do with it, whatever. Even his faith seems to be the gift of God. So I can tell everyone who will listen to me, you will receive it. Because I know, as the speaker speaking to you, I am no better than anyone who walks the face of this earth. Yet I was called and given this gift of gifts. It was the gift of himself. We will not go into that tonight. For I've told you time and time again how man knows that God gave himself to that man. There's only one way by which it can be Revealed, and that is through his son. When the son, David appears in your world and calls you Father, then you know by this relationship, God succeeded in his purpose. Which purpose was to give man himself. But we turn now to the law that you may prove it this night. I tell you, when you really believe. You can prove anything by this law, if you really believe. But man must believe. Believe what he said. Believe in God. Well, who is God? The eternal body of man is his own wonderful human imagination. And that is God himself. That is the divine body, Jesus. Jesus Christ, Blake. He sunk himself in man as man's own wonderful human imagination. Can you believe that all things are possible to God? If you can answer yes to that question, well, then you can believe that all things are possible to your imagination. You may say no to that. Well, then you do not really know who God is. You might put him on the outside. And may I tell you, if we fail, I have come to the conclusion why we fail. We make an effort, and there is no effort. If I really believe all things are possible to God and someone asks me anything now, I don't care what it is, and it comes within the frame of what I consider my code of honor, my code of decency. Don't ask me to hear that some enemy of yours is dead because you're asking the wrong party. If you ask me to hear that you have a marvelous job and you're gainfully employed. I can hear that. If you ask me to hear that you are feeling well when you are not feeling well, I can hear that. Don't tell me what the doctor said. I don't care what they said. Don't tell me what it looks like. I don't care what it looks like. Because I can turn to what I really know to be God and put the entire thing in his hand, as it were. And with him all things are possible. So you receive a request, you do nothing about it. You don't sit down and burst the blood vessel trying to make something work. You simply accepted the request as something accomplished. Accomplishing is done. Why do I know this? Because I've experimented. May I tell you, of all the pleasures of the world, relief is the most keenly felt. You think it over. Of all the pleasures of the world, I'll give you one simple little example. You have a child. The child is of an age where you allow the child to go out on dates. The child will say to you, as you, a good mother, a good father, will say, when may I. When may I expect you? Well, you don't want to curtail the activity, the fun. And they will say, I'll be home before midnight. All right, before midnight, right. So you sit up. So midnight comes, there's no child. 1. In the morning, there's no child. 2. There is no child. If you love your child, as we all do, the mind is a little bit anxious. And so you sit and you're building up an emotion. Suddenly you hear the key in the door. And what relief in that interval if you're not in control. And you knew nothing of this law. You thought of accidents. You thought of one who does man, or be a woman and have a drink. And you know, because she doesn't or he doesn't drink. One could be like six. And so you think a thousand things in the world until you hear that little key. Well, that's what you hear before she even starts, before he even starts. Because imagination is speaking spiritual sensation. Before you hear the physical contact, you hear it just as though you heard it physically. And may I tell you, and let me repeat it, if of all the pleasures of the world, relief is the most keenly felt. And you can do that and put that into every aspect of your life. Go to bed tonight and someone asks of you anything in this world, would they be. Would they be relieved? And would you be relieved if tomorrow you got a telephone call or a letter saying it worked? Relieved. Could you be so? Could you be so concerned or be so interested that you would like to hear that it did work? Well, then this night when you go to bed, it worked before you start the night in the deep of yourself, just that it worked. And this is the law that was given to us through Moses, but made clear to us through Jesus. He interpreted the law, read it from the 17th verse to the 48th. They all take one after the other and show you the inwardness of the law. It's not doing something on the outside. To this very day, the whole vast world believes if I attend service, if I go through the ritual and follow the entire outward ceremony, that I am really doing something. I am simply appeasing God, whatever he is, wherever he is. And this one comes to show us that is not it. That is not it at all. The whole thing is on the inside. It's what I am doing within myself. Am I clothing myself as the man that I want to be? Am I wearing the assumption that things are already what I want them to be? If I do it that way, well, then it comes to pass in my world. So let me show you how I knew him. Go back to the greatest book in the world, the Bible. It is said of Moses. If you've never read it, it's the 12th chapter, third verse of the Book of Numbers. For the man Moses was very meek. Not meek, excuse me, not weak. Meek more than all the men who moved on the face of the earth. The man Moses was very meek. More than all men that were on the face of the earth. It is said of Jesus, and he said it of himself, I am meek and lowly in my heart. Meek. Now, you and I, in using the word meek, we think of some beaten person, weak person, weak in character. He will simply fawn on others. He himself has no backbone. That's the way we think of meek today. It was not always so. This strange, peculiar, unfortunate association came to. Originally it meant to be tamed. A wild animal is tamed. That's what it meant originally. It still means that in Scripture. But priesthoods the world over have changed the meaning for us. But those who wrote the book meant it to mean to us who years to come will read it to be tamed. So you take a wild animal and you tame it, or you take a wild tree and you tame it. Behold this vine, he said, I am the true vine, I tell you I am, is my own wonderful human imagination. That's the true vine. But when I first heard that my imagination was Christ Jesus, it was an awful shock because I always put him on the outside. Never hoped that I could ever be good enough to face him, to meet the Lord face to face. What a kicker this is to meet him face to face. I knew my weakness, my limitations. And I thought he lived and died 2,000 years ago. And you tell me that he's contemporary, that he sunk in me as my own wonderful human imagination. Well, that was really a shock. So I found him. Behold this vine. I found it. A wild tree whose wanton, wanton strength had swollen into irregular twigs. But I pruned the plant and it grew temperate in its vain expense of useless leaves and knotted, as you see, into these full, clean clusters to repay the hand that wisely wounded it. Browning. So when I found my wild wild tree, my imagination, I could feast on gossip. I could feed on everything that was negative, a little juicy. This about someone who was big. And the bigger he was, the more I would listen to the little piece that seemed so succulent. I knew some little weakness in that character that others didn't know. And I would read into that strength of the weakness that I knew of him and thought I knew more than Others. So my tree was really wild. Then I had to go about pruning my tree and really pruning it and bringing my ears deaf to everything other than what I wanted to hear. Simon Peter so I would not lend an ear to the gossip, not lend an ear to all of the unlovely things that formerly I eagerly would listen to. So finally the tree. Now I gotta tell you that that step is big. I faced that step when I first learned metaphysics from my teacher in 1991. Started in 91, so 92, 93, 94, 95, 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, research, learn, memorize, all of that. During that time I had to dump every single person out of my life that I knew. I had to. I had to completely censor what was coming into my ears for me to take on the new information. And I remember it very, very vividly. I had to completely unbecome who I was. To be able to take on the information alone was enough, much less try and then interpret it and then read for others and interpret all this information. I had to make it a completely, no negative end, only this information end. I had to completely cut off everything. I cut everybody out. I wasn't antisocial, but I was antisocial. I became what I am, took me to. Then I had to go about pruning my tree and really pruning it and bringing my ears deaf to everything other than what I wanted to hear. So I would not lend an ear to the gossip, not lending an ear to all of the unlovely things that formerly I eagerly would listen to. So finally the tree that I wisely pruned repaid me. It nodded into full clean clusters and repaid the hand that wisely wounded it. We are, so we are told in the 15th of John. I am the true vine. My father is the vinedresser. Every branch that does not bear, he takes it away. And every branch that bears he prunes it, and that it may bear more fruit. Verse 1. The very thing that it's bearing, he cuts it and prunes it to get all into that one little cluster. And the branch that does it, that does not bear, takes the whole thing away. And so our real vine is our own wonderful human imagination. So we learn the law how to operate it, how to really move it into a place and assume that we are the man that we want to be, move right into a state without the consent of anyone in this world, ask no one's permission if I should really dare to assume that I am what at the moment, reason denies my senses, deny. And everything in the world would deny that I could ever attain it. Don't ask anyone's permission. Do you want it? Well, dare to assume that you are it and relax in that assumption and trust God in his own wonderful way, which is your own wonderful human imagination, to devise the means necessary to externalize that state within your world. So here the story of the vineyard as we are told in the AD of Psalm. And the Lord took a vine, brought it out of Egypt, and he planted it, having first of all cleared the way and prepared the way for the planting of the vine. And then it grew and the root went deep and the plant spread all over the land, hasn't it? Wherever there is a man in this world, that plant is growing because there isn't a person in this world who can't imagine. There isn't a person in the world who can't imagine. Think of that the next time you see any news story of any third world country. Second World, first world, doesn't matter. Sometimes you might see and be insensitive to the fact that there are other humans in the world and they look different than you. And you might think that they don't think like you, but they have the same imagination as you. Wherever there is a man in this world, that plant is growing because there isn't a person in this world who can't imagine. So that was planted. It came out of Egypt and he planted it. He prepared the ground for it. The ground is man himself. He's planted right in man and grown all over the world. There is humanity the farthest north, the farthest south, both poles. There are people living here today. I'm sorry, There are people living there today. And it's gone all over the world, this plant. So then Israel asked him, why then, if this plant was so precious to you, why do you tear it down its walls? Because now as people pass by, they feed fruit. They feed from its fruit. And then the boar from the forest, he tramples on it. The boar is a wild pig. The wild pig takes and tramples on the vine. Why did you tear down its protective walls? And all the people who passed by it, now they feed on it. Well, can't you see it? He grows in every being in this world because everyone is saying, I am. And that is God, and everyone is imagining, and that is grand God in action, his son. So here you planted it. Well, it went deep, it spread all over the world. And then you broke down its walls with the wild that the Wild pig may trample upon it. The wild pig is simply the undisciplined and not the. The meek being. So you take your imagination and use it for all the unlovely things of the world. You can't help it. He had to break down the walls and let everyone do it, do with it as he would. And use my back for all the stripes you would give it. As told us in the 53rd chapter of Isaiah. He took upon himself all the stripes of man, all the abuse of man. Because you can't stop a man from imagining. Who knows but what in some woman this very moment in a dungeon, who feels herself abused because she was put there. And there she is in some dungeon, exercising her imagination unlovingly towards others in this world. So Blake said, I would never be surprised to know that it was not some woman in the great dungeon who was treading out the winepresses of evil. For all of the people of the world, every imagining being matters. One night I was taken in vision, fully conscious, into a cave. Have you ever seen a hag? Well, wait till you see one. Right into this cave. And here was this monstrous creature. Human as we are, but monstrous. She would have put to shame the three in Macbeth. And there she was teaching her brood all these strange creatures, reaching, teaching them the evil magic of the world. When she saw me at the door, she said, man of God, what have I to do with you? While she knew she was helpless in my presence. On the other hand, I had no right to change her from her task in this world. That's very fascinating. And so I simply stood at the entrance of her cave. And there she was, teaching all the strange urchins of the world the misuse of Christ. And she spoke to me and called me man of God, as you're told in the first chapter of the Book of Mark. The demons knew him. No one else knew him. Always the demons knows him, for they are of the spirit. And so he silenced the demons and told them not to tell anyone who he was. Then he started his journey from city to city. For he said, it is for this purpose that I came. So, any of the evil spirits where you enter in the world of spirit, they know you exactly who you are. But they are powerless in your presence. Think about that and we'll play it again. So any of the evil spirits when you enter in the world of spirit, they know you exactly who you are. But they are powerless in your presence. On the other hand, you do nothing about changing them. Leave them just as they are. It's always been in my intent to do nothing about that. I have a friend who talks about agency and he is in the faith of lds, Latter Day Saints, and he talks about agency. And it's something I can't quite comprehend from where he's coming from. But now I think I really get it because to him there's a. There's a Satan energy and there's a God energy. And these two. You have to avoid this one to be able to accept this one or to him. The way he describes it to me, it's as if there's this battle that he has to play out with this one to avoid him and then to go ahead and concede and accept this one. Where in myself I never even acknowledged this one, the supposed evil one, I don't even acknowledge. I put my energy just this one, just the golden. It's the golden rule. It's the only way I put my energy at all. So everything to me else falls away. And I think that's what he's getting at here. On the other hand, you do nothing about changing them. Leave them just as they are. They are taking this. The walls are down and they abuse the power which is Christ. For there's only one power. There aren't two powers in the world, God and the devil. They're simply God in the wise use of power and the misuse of power. So Christ Jesus is the power and the wisdom of God, 1st Corinthians 1:24. But the same Jesus Christ is the power and misuse of God. So when you do not know Christ Jesus and you think he lived 2,000 years ago and you pray to him on your knees as something on the outside, you do not know Christ Jesus. But if you know he's your own wonderful human imagination, you will not allow one unlovely thought to cross that mind of yours. You simply prune the plant. What do you think all of this is about? Revision? Pruning shears of revision? Simon Peter at the. At the. At the gate of your ears, something. You simply prune the plant. Something is coming out, it's not going to bear good fruit, and you cut it off. You do not allow yourself to become involved and interested in the unlovely things of this world. What do you think I saw when I saw the gentleman I mentioned in my previous video at the. At the hardware store with his sign and he was surviving in the world on a handout. And I imagine lovingly for him, because that's what I do, that's what it is to do in the moment. That's what it is to do. There is no question about doing it. There's no does he deserve it? Does he look like the right one? I don't go there. I don't suggest you go there either. He's the one in front of you for a very special reason. There's a special reason. Again, I've said before, many people I've seen, once I can see their face, then I can do my whole process of imagining lovingly for them and new opportunity in their life, etc. But I've seen many, handful at the most, maybe that literally are avoiding showing me their face, as if they know that car right there that I'm in is to be avoided. I've seen it up to a handful of times, maybe four or five times, and it blows me away. Well, they aren't there for the special treatment that day, but the guy today, he was there for a special reason. I don't question the reason. I don't question the reason I'm there. I had to do an errand, which I did faithfully. I had to go do it, so I did it. And on coming and going, there he is, my special friend who is there to accept that which I have to give. His sign said, anything will help. All you need to know is what somebody wants. Anything's better than nothing. But back to the original idea here. I don't choose who or whom. I just roll up and if all conditions are met, I can see his face. I don't care about the sign, but the sign's usually saying something of the similar ilk, but it doesn't similar statement, but it doesn't really kind of matter to me the sign so much as I can see the person and of course they're standing there reaching for a handout. You do not allow yourself to become involved and interested in the unlovely things of the world. So here in this grace versus law, you can forget the grace, for it's coming your way regardless who imagined lovingly for this gentleman at the at the store exit there today. There's only one that could have done it. I am. The only one that could have done it is I am. It wasn't Gilbert. It wasn't. I did it. I am. Is the only way that that could have happened when it comes, I do not know grace. For we are told, set your hope fully upon the grace that is coming to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1st Peter 1:13. Set your hope fully on it above all things in this world. For by grace you are saved through faith. It is not your own doing. It is the gift of God, not because of works, lest anyone boast so no one can brag who receives the grace of God because you didn't earn it. So no one can brag who receives the grace of God because you didn't earn it. It came in God's own good time, and no one has ever earned it. No one will ever earn it. But the end of all is the grace of God, and the grace, excuse me, and grace is the unmerited, unearned gift of God himself to man. So man gets it, and getting it, then comes this wonderful revelation in man to prove to man he did receive the gift of God. And and there is no other way in eternity that God could have worked it out for man, that man would know he really got it. Saved by that simple little statement in the 11th of Matthew where and it's before he makes the statement, come unto me, all of you weary and the tired ones. He tells us the yoke is easy and his burden is light, that he is meek and lowly of heart. Verse 28. But before he makes this declaration, he shows man what is going to happen. And this is going to happen to you, he said. No one will ever know it, save the Son reveals it. For no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Matthew 11:27 and then he goes into this declaration. All of you who are tired, the weary, the broken, come on to me and I'll give you rest. If you really would come to me this night and take the rest. Blank space. I don't care what it is you want. Make it lovely, make it wonderful, and dare to assume that you are it. Assume that you are, and trust your own wonderful human imagination to do it. He'll do it. He'll do it this night or tomorrow, but he'll do it in a way that you could never consciously devise. No one could devise the means that he will employ to externalize that which you have assumed that you are, or that which you have assumed for another, for yourself or for another. You can assume something lovely for another without the other's knowledge, as I did, as I said over the last video, in this video, the gentleman standing at the exit of the shopping center. You can assume something lovely for another without the other's knowledge, without the other's consent. And then when it happens, you take no credit for it. You're only happy that it happened. And that's exactly how it works every single time. You're just happy. You just. You're just happy. That's just it. And when that. And then when it happens, you take no credit for it. You're only happy that it happened. And so they. Not knowing that you did it or were in any way instrumental in doing it, you simply bask in the joy that it has happened. Because really, in the end, there aren't two of us. There's only one. We're so completely interwoven. We're only one. There's only one Christ, not three billion little Christs running around the earth. One sunk in all. And that one sunk in all will resurrect in all. Peter calls this grace salvation. You read it in the first chapter of Peter, the 10th verse, the first, first Peter, first chapter, 10th verse, 10th verse. And he tells us it is all salvation. The grace was coming to man in man's. The grace was coming to man is man's salvation. And he saves. And he shows you how he's saved and how man will know that he's saved by the revelation the Son will give to him for this, as the Son calls him Father. He. He knows who he is, which he never knew before. But he also knows that it's coming to every being in this world. So he can't crow. He cannot boast that he did anything to earn it. The thing was completely unmerited in his case. It would be unmerited in every man's case. So no one can boast in the end anyway. Hear ye, Hear ye. So grace. And the most glorious use of the word that I've read in the Bible, you'll find in the very end of the second Epistle, epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, it's the benediction of benedictions. It's the 13th chapter, very last verse, the 14th verse. It's read in the Episcopal Church every Sunday. But I wonder how many of them really understand it, if any of them do, including the minister. Hear this glorious benediction placed upon man, the grace the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. What a benediction. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, that's the gift of himself. When he's one with God, then God is all love and the love of God, and that brings a fellowship of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God and God is Jesus Christ. It's really one being, but presented in a trinity. Not a trinity, just one. Being the son called David, who appears to call you Father, is simply spiritualizing humanity and simply fusing him as a single being called a son called David, who then calls you Father. It's the only way you'll ever know that you are the Father one with the being spoken of in that benediction. God. So the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. If you took that this night and simply took it to bed and just dwell upon it, just dwell upon that one simple, beautiful use of words in that last verse of the second Corinthians, and just dwell upon it, the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and then all of a sudden, you dwell upon it. Maybe tonight you might just. You might be a little bit hesitant to claim that Jesus Christ and your wonderful imagination are one. You may, if you. You may. If you're raised in a Christian faith, you might think that's blasphemy. If you've been conditioned to believe that he's something other than you, you might really hesitate to do it. To think, I don't want to blaspheme against the Holy Name. And so it's a holy name. Surely it's a holy name. But so are you. You are a holy name. You're not some little thing that looked into the mirror. You are wearing this garment that you see in the mirror, but the wearer is one with Christ, and the wearer is your own wonderful human imagination. So tonight you dwell upon it and see if you can't produce in yourself the emotion of relief. When you contemplate a state that you really want, then use your imagination, which is spiritual sensation, to hear what you would hear after the event or to see what you would see after the event. Just like the child coming home. When you hear what you would hear after arrival, but you hear it before she goes on her date, so that you know, regardless of the seeming delays, she is putting that key in the door. You heard it. You heard it before he set forth. So the whole story in the Bible, I show you the end before you even leave home. So he shows Abraham the end before Abraham starts his journey into Egypt. And Abraham was sustained in faith by the end. He showed Job what he told Job. And Job could say, I heard of thee with the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees thee. Job 42. 5. So he heard it. That's spiritual sensation. All of this is done in the soul of man. In the soul of man. I started doing this. This is a small Example, but very pertinent. So to make shorts for my channel, which I'm trying to do, I have to download the actual video to then throw into a generator that now analyzes it and gives me what it recommends for these shorts. For some reason, my browser, any browser, any laptop or computer, PC or Apple, doesn't matter, nothing would download these videos. And. And so I press the Download button in YouTube. In your studio, you go to your video. On the edit page of your own video, you go to the three dots, or in the content of your studio, you go to the three dots and you say download. And it usually will download the video actually into your computer like a download. Well, these weren't coming down for the life of me. And I couldn't figure it out. I was like, do I gotta buy an app or what gives? Right Then I was gonna use obs and record one. And I went through that process for a music video that I needed to get to change the key. But long story short, I'm sitting there and I just go, oh, duh, the law. And so I went into my ness minus and I was relieved as I imagined that as I'm about to click on it, it's already downloaded. And I saw the little thing go like that, like a little, you know, whatever. And it's like a little clock and just goes and green. It's all done. I wasn't doing this before. Now every time I go to download, I remember now I've associated it, now I'm doing it and every time I do it, it downloads. When I don't do it, it doesn't download. If that's not going to kick you in the shorts, I don't know what would. You have to use it when you become aware of it, the moment you become aware of the law is there to use. Use it then. Watch the results. They're going to be in the affirmative. And then when you don't use them, it's a reminder. Use the law. That's what it's for. As Fred Sanford would say, you big dummy, if you don't know who Sanford is, look up Sanford and Son and then enjoy all the laughter. So tonight, suppose someone asks help of you. Turn the whole conversation around and have them tell you that they've got it and go to bed relieved because when you asked it, when they asked it of you, you weren't relieved. That's tension. Now turn the whole conversation around and listen as though they're calling you on the phone and telling you that they have it. No matter what it is? If it's within the code of decency, yes. Then go sound asleep in confidence that he who can do all feel things has done it. You simply have to rest your body now. So you're not going to burst any blood vessels trying to make it work. Leave that alone completely. Just simply accept it and then let it work. And may I tell you, it will work like a charm. Without any getting on your knees, without mumbling any words, without saying any prayers. That's prayer enough. So you are told. When I come to God, I must believe that he is. Anyone who comes to God must first of all believe that he is. And he rewards those who seek Him. Read that in the book of Hebrews, 11th of Hebrews. Whoever would come to God must believe that he is and that he rewards those who seek him. Who seek him. And without faith, it is impossible to please him. Verse 6. Would you please God tonight? You don't please him by giving a huge big sum of money to a church. That's no pleasure to God. That's pleasure to the priest who gets it, not to God. God is pleased with your faith. Probably the most powerful thing we have read in this lecture so far, and including the last lecture so far, because there is some pretty powerful stuff. But there it is right there, just a huge bomb. God is pleased with your faith. That's what pleases God. Remember, there's only two things that displease Him. One is the lack of faith in him. And the other is eating of the tree of the knowledge of Good and evil. I believe that's it. I am paraphrasing. I'm not a professional scripture quoter. Don't hold me to that. I read it. I don't quote it from memory, although some are beginning to stick really well. So tonight, when you go to bed and someone asks any help of you, then feel that that help has been granted, that faith pleases God. And then God goes to work to produce in that man's life or that woman's life the condition that she or he asked you to help create in this world. Again, the gentleman at the exit of the shopping center. I, with faith, imagine lovingly for him. It wasn't for me, it was for him. And I did it with faith. God goes to work to produce in that man's life or that woman's life the condition that she, he or he asked you to help create in this world. He had the sign up. Any help will do. And you do it without effort. So I know from my own experience, if I use no effort. Then it works. Not indifference. I don't mean indifference. I mean no effort. You accept it and you have such confidence in God that God cannot fail. And you simply accept it and say yes to the Father. Regardless of what was wrong with her. I don't care what was wrong with her. Been in that state for the last week, two weeks or a month, it doesn't matter. When they call you, they hadn't called you in the interval. At that moment, they despaired and they called you. They tried this medicine, they tried that practitioner, they tried one, and suddenly they call you. It's the same thing with downloading the file. If I don't think of the law, it doesn't download. And when I think of the law, it just instantly downloads. What is going on at that moment, you don't ask them what's wrong. You called me. All right, thank you. At that very moment, you turned the whole thing over to God without doing anything about it. Just turning it over completely to God. And they will call you the next day or the next week, or maybe they won't call you. 1 in 10 calls. You're fortunate when 3 in 10 call you. Nevertheless, it doesn't matter whether they call you to confirm it or not. You know it's done and done it is because you aren't trying to work it out in your own life. Rational mind, you know it's done. The very moment you accepted the call and said to them, I will take it. In that very moment when you completely accepted, the whole thing is done. I'm speaking from experience, I know in my own case, I do not sit down and try to work it out. I don't sit down and do anything about it. And from that very telephone call, I'm going right into my living room to discuss some other matter with friends who are present. Last Sunday night, friends were here on their way north. And we had a most delightful evening at home. Had dinner. They went off about midnight and the phone rang when we were just about to go to dinner. Well, that was no time for a long telephone discussion. My wife answered the phone and said, I'm sorry, but I can't call. Call Neville. He's now with his friends and we're just about to go to dinner. She understood, but she did say that what she wanted. Will you please tell him for me that so and so is wrong with me and would he help? Well, she did. She told me, that's all right. We sat down. I didn't give it one second thought. We sat down and had dinner and a heavenly discussion following dinner into the midnight hour. And then. And then. And then today around 2, the phone rang and she thanked me profusely. She said, I didn't get to the phone yesterday to call you. I could have done it yesterday because it worked completely as of yesterday. Another one said, to me, tonight she didn't. But her friend said to me, tonight I spoke to the lady and something was wrong with her physically. It was seemingly something she did not remember doing to herself. But she had the evidence of it. And her daughter wondered why she called me instead of a doctor. For this is something for the medical profession, not for a man like Neville. But she called me instead of a doctor. So it taught not only her a lesson, but it taught the daughter a lesson. For within 45 minutes it was gone. And she could do things that she couldn't possibly dream of doing. Had she gone to the doctor, I'm quite sure she would have been bandaged and she would not be walking. And so that was it. So I didn't do anything other than accept the fact that I told her I would simply do my work. Well, my work is simply to trust my imagination completely. Whenever I go to bed at night, the very last thought, just as I'm about to retire, take note, this is Neville telling you what he does. This is his practice right here. Whenever I go to bed at night, the very last thought just as I'm about to retire, I think of those I would like to help and those who have called upon me for help. All I do is just think of them. I know my father knows before I ask him what was asked of me. And so I think of them and I know exactly what they asked of me. I accept it completely that it's done. When it's going to be done, I don't know. And how it's going to be done, I still don't know. I only know I think of them. And thinking of them, I know what they asked of me and that was enough. And go sound asleep, completely oblivious of anything else. If I'm blessed that night with a vision, all to the good, a dream all to the good. But. But the next day, I don't think, I wonder if it worked. I have complete confidence in my father that it worked. Whenever they ever tell me or not. Whether they ever tell me or not, I really don't care. I'm not seeking credit, I'm not seeking praise from them. I really don't care. Well, when they do tell me, I can share it with You. And it encourages everyone who comes here to trust God. May I tell you again? God is your own wonderful human imagination. By the way, that previous paragraph. Rewind it. That's Neville's method. And his whole demeanor, disposition, attitude. So simple. There's nothing blusting. There is no busting of a blood vessel there whatsoever. No getting on knees, nothing crazy at all, period. That was so simple. Listen to that back. May I tell you again? God is your own wonderful human imagination. He's not on the outside. He's actually sunk in you as your own wonderful human imagination. Man is all imagination. And God is man and exists in us and we in him. The eternal body of man is the imagination. And that is God himself. Blake Berkeley. Trust it, believe it, and see how things work in this world. No matter what you are, what you're planning out to do. See that it comes within the lovely code of decency. We're living in a world where we're really a fellowship. And this is a brotherhood. The very fast words taught us in our prayer. Our Father implies fatherhood. The first two words he said, I go to my father and your father to my God and your God. Well, our Father, that's plural. Our. Our Father implies a brotherhood of man. You can't get away from it if you believe the words. Our Father, the beginning of the Lord's Prayer. And so I can't do it really to another. I'm doing it to myself. Our Father is a tip. It's a tip off. We're all one related. It can't be an our Father without an our family. Whenever I seem to do it to another, I'm really doing it to myself. So God is one. And he's sunk in the seeming many. But the many are still one. Because one being is sunk in all. And that one being is your own lovely, wonderful human imagination. But now, may I tell you, you can treat it. Treat it lightly. Don't treat it with effort. Effort would prove to me where I, the being I'm speaking of, that you don't believe in it. If you make an effort, make no effort and it will work. When you go to bed tonight, really believe that your imagination is Christ Jesus. I hope you believe in Christ Jesus as I do, that he's real. More real than this is real. This is going to vanish. The world is going to vanish. But he will never vanish as we're told. Lift up your eyes to the heavens and see. They will vanish like smoke. And look to the earth, it will wear out like a garment. But my Salvation is forever, and my redemption shall never come to an end. Isaiah 51:6. So all these things will vanish, but he will never cease to be. This hit me this morning. Literally, it hit me like a stone, because. And I don't mean the song by Audioslave, which I Learned back in 2003, believe it or not. The idea is all of these stones will vanish, all these buildings will tumble, all of these stones won't be here. And it dawned on me that all stones, like when you stone somebody in the Bible, for instance, in scripture, when it's said to stone a person or stone a person for doing wrong, you're hitting them with all the facts. Well, when he's saying right now, like he's implying here, that all the stones will tumble and all the stones of Jericho, or walls of Jericho, all the stones won't exist. Everything will go away. That means all the facts, everything you think is a fact, fact, it's going away. It will go away in time. Like all things, everything's gentrified. I'm watching over my time, over my seemingly short time. It seems to me so many things have come and gone on certain properties in this city, in this state. It's mind blowing. And at one point I used to feel a little nostalgic about it because you couldn't help but think, oh, I experienced this, that or the other there on that spot, in that manner. Now they tore that down and put something else up. And I used to think nostalgically, but recently I just saw a fence around a property and I saw that they demolished a building. And I thought to myself, oh, something new. It's the first time it's ever happened to me because I do like new. I'm very enthusiastic person, so I do like new things. But this is the first time this happened to me. Upon seeing something demoed and gone, I go, it was like today or yesterday. And I thought to myself, oh, something new is going there. I wonder what it's going to be. With childlike wonder, I saw this property in its newness already. I could easily testify, I remember when, but I was already in awe of the new. I wonder what it's going to be. Back in time, you could never see signs that said, this is what we're building here. That they would surprise you. They would build it back before now they would just build stuff and you'd never know. You just look and look and look and wonder what it's going to be. And finally it shows itself when the sign goes up or becomes obviously A restaurant or whatever it's going to be. But today they put signs up, which is great, but I was in awe of this demo and the fence around this property. And just like, wow, something's new. Because everything is going to go away. There will be nothing left standing. Your stones, which you think are facts, are going away too. This isn't. I'm not trying to give a doom day thing, a doomsday concept. I'm trying to give a concept that it all exists. You exist in all your forms in one moment. Part of that process is the changing of it. Watching these videos is an evolution of you. For dang sure, you can take that to the bank big time. Before you started watching these videos, you thought one way. Now, after watching these videos all this time, you're definitely thinking another way. You're thinking of, I am completely different. Guarantee it. If you've been here since the beginning. If you're new here, I recommend go back to the beginning. Start with the law. Go to the homepage says the law. Says the Law and the promise. Go to the law and watch from left to right. Then go to the law and the promise. Watch from left to right. It's that simple. In order of publication, basically repeating as we're told. Lift up your eyes to the heavens and they and see they will vanish like smoke. And look to the earth, it will wear out like a garment. But my salvation is forever and and my redemption shall never come to an end. Isaiah 51:6. So all these things will vanish, but he will never cease to be. And he became you. Man was so loved by God that God became man, that man may become God. And in becoming man, he's man's own wonderful human imagination. That's another reason why anybody thinks they want to become a minimalist. It's perfectly okay. You can get rid of junk. You can get rid of stuff. It's all God. It's all your consciousness. You can either live with it stacked up to here and can't walk through your house, or you can live with the most minimal amount. One cup, one fork and one spoon. It's all God. So learn how to use the law. I come not to abolish the law. He said not to abolish it, to fulfill it. And then he interprets to us the law, the inwardness of the law. That if you feel comfortably. Excuse me. That if you feel comfortable going to church, go to church. If you feel comfortable by observing the rituals and ceremonies, observe them. But may I tell you, that's not what he brought to the world. He brought this and then told us that he was meek. Then someone speaking of Moses. Moses didn't make the claim. It is said of Moses, he was very meek. More than all of the men that were on the face of the earth. The meek is the self disciplined. A man who, in spite of rumor, can shut his eye to everything. And that would deny what he was now assumed. That he has now assumed, no matter what it is, he denies reason, he denies the evidence of his senses. And he gives to himself that inner glow that what he now asks of his father is done. Are we not told? Whatever I ask of my father, he does it. These are the words I know. You hear me, Father. For whatever I ask of you, you do it. John 11:42. Who's the servant here? Dwell upon that. It doesn't take much time. Well, get to the same mood. Whatever I ask of him, he does it. And he's not out there. He's right here. As my own wonderful human imagination. So when I give you a technique, it's simply to work you into that feeling of the naturalness, of. Of it all. For if you were now desirous of going to. And you name it, well, then this night, you would sleep there, wouldn't you? Well, then sleep there, just as you were there. You want to be in Nice, France? Then think of the beach. Walk on those uncomfortable stones into the water. Very weird salty taste. Walk back on those stones, back up to your little chai lounge. You just had lunch at the restaurant. You had a pizza there. It was delicious. Most delicious, I promise you. Then you want to get back in the water because it's hot, it's August. You walk across those stones and you're like, ooh, these don't feel good. You do it again. The third time, you're like, I need to go buy some shoes for this, because those stones hurt. Think of the pain of those stones on that beach in Nice, France. I can feel it. Go to sleep with that feeling. I know we're going to visit there again. That's why it's easy for me to describe that beach. Elton John lives there, by the way, I'm still standing. For if you were now desirous of. Of going to. And you name it, well, then this night you would sleep there, wouldn't you? Well, then sleep there, just as though you were there. This is accepting. Excuse me. That is accepting this technique, accepting this principle, and sleep in it. If it's not a spatial journey you need, but a financial journey, move to the state financially and sleep in it. Just as you move spatially and sleep in it. Move financially and sleep in it. Move socially and sleep in it. Whatever you would do, just move. It's a mental motion. And sleep in it and accept it naturally, without effort on your part. And see how these things come to pass. They will. They will. Better to say they have. Once you do this mentally, they have already. You're just now looking for the shadow. Then you'll get to the point. Not a thing will phase you in this world. You will love all. But you'll put no man you see in this world on a pinnacle. Not one. The day will come that you will accept no aristocracy but the aristocracy of spirit. But none whatsoever. Is anybody there now? You let no one, by his accident of birth wave some little flag before you to try to make you feel less than. You don't allow him all the right to act that way. But you don't respond. You go about your business simply doing good as you know how to do good and lift up every being in this world. You go about your business simply doing good as you know how to do good and lift up every being in this world. For we're all one. There aren't two. There's only one God. So in that day we're told God shall be king over all of the land and his name shall be One and the Lord one that we read in the last chapter of Zechariah. His name is one and the Lord is 149. And that name, may I tell you, is Jesus Christ. Now let us go into the silence. It. All right. Good. Your homework for that is two more minutes. Now before we take to questions. May I call your attention to the book table? You'll find all of the books there that I have written and any book on it. Any. Undoubtedly. As a book I myself recommended. I'm quite sure my friend Jack did not put one book there without first discussing it with me. Every book on the table I highly recommend. They're all part of my library. Are there any questions, please? Neville. Salesman Neville. Third time pitching the book table. Wow. I love it. There's so much talk about the bad effects of smoking. By the way. Table at the back of the room. You know all these seminars you might have been to or I have, I can tell you that much. And there's always these things being sold and the kit or the whatever and there it is right there. But the most worthy of material at Neville's table, no doubt, which his books and those of his library. Wow. Is All I gotta say, there's so much talk about the bad effects of smoking. Should one keep on smoking and imagine that it isn't going to hurt you, my dear? Question, interjection, or would you quit? That's entirely up to you. My wife smokes all through the day. In fact, she lights a cigarette and goes out of the room. Comes back, the thing is burned to the ground. The thing is burned to the ground, lights another. I grew up in the smoking world and I could. In the early part of this life, smoke was everywhere. I said it in a previous video. Smoke was everywhere. And people would do that, that. I had an aunt, a great aunt that smoked a filterless cigarette. It was a Pall Mall, if I remember correctly. She would smoke that thing and then as it ended, she'd take the next one and light the. The new one with the previous one. And then when that one was done, she'd light the next one with the previous one. And I was a little kid, I think of 12, and I was working at the liquor store across the street. You know, like folding, like, you know, breaking up cardboard boxes. And they'd. I forget how they paid us, but we used to go in there and do some work in there and do things like that for the. For the guy that ran the liquor store. And cigarettes were 40 cents at the time. And I remember there was a big, big to do because they were going to become 60 cents. It was a big deal. Of course, I wasn't buying cigarettes at the time. I was buying candy cigarettes, which blew the powder through the thing and it came out looking like smoke. What a brainwash that was. But anyway, 60 cents from 40 cents. Whoa. Wow. Maybe I thought. I remember this thought. I remember it very specifically. I thought in my head, maybe people will stop smoking now. What are they, eight or ten dollars today for a pack of cigarettes? How many times does that increase? Quite a bit. My wife smokes all through the day. In fact, she lights a cigarette and goes out of the room, comes back, the thing is burned to the ground, lights another. She can't stand not seeing a lit cigarette in our house. So all day long there's always a lit cigarette. Oh, my gosh, that is funny, man. Really. She doesn't have to use more than one match in the course of a day, but she does, because she lets it burn down and she lights another one. But she could easily, knowing how many are used in the course of a day, use one lit to light the other because that's how. And it doesn't disturb me at all. Fortunately for me that her today filter tips. Therefore they don't fall off the little thing and burn the carpet. So they go out before they can fall off. But I really don't know. I'm not a doctor and man is not flesh and blood. Flesh and blood does not inherit the kingdom of heaven. So I would be the last one in this world to ask my wife to stop smoking if she gets any pleasure out of it. Smoke. They say that you have. They say that you have cancer. My mother died of cancer. Never smoked one puff in her life. My father drank heavily. He was a two quart a day man and he died at 85. Two quart a day, not of beer. That's two fifths. She died at 61 or 2 and never drank and never smoked and she died of cancer. My father didn't die of anything but sheer collapsing. 85 years old and that's all there was to it. Oh, Joseph Nathaniel Goddard. So just the sheer collapsing of it. I love that man. I love it. Body simply collapsed. But he had nothing seemingly wrong with him. Organs were all right. Simply collapsed. Died at 85 and drank. Oh, did he drink. Very heavy drinker. Exclamation point. End, exclamation point. Here is Churchill. 20 cigars a day and about two and a half quarts of liquor. Did you ever read his menu for dinner? It's staggering. Starts the dinner with two bowls of soup. Then a big steak garnished with the usual vegetables. And then he washes down with two quarts of champagne. Not bad. Has a big huge heaping of ice cream all topped with all kinds of sauce. For dessert, washed the whole thing down with two quarts of champagne. Then he proceeds to his library with his black coffee and a fifth of brandy. That's dinner. He's been drinking all through the day. All through the day. He's now 89 and he's not senile. The body is slowing a little bit. But why wouldn't it at about 89? But the man has lived so ruggedly all of his life. He. He didn't start this last month. You know. This has been going on since he could breathe practically. When did Abdullah start? Apparently these two are two peas in a pod. So I don't go along with all of these medical things at all. What are we trying to be? Simply physically alert and then mentally gone. Look at all the great athletes of the world. Try to carry on a wonderful conversation with them in the course of an evening. Just try it. And suddenly you read this strong big Strapping giant of a man who's a great wrestler or a great fighter. And last night he didn't wake of a little heart attack. Doesn't smoke, doesn't drink, he's a great athlete. You go to the beach over here in the summer and you see all these muscular giants, but open up a conversation with them. Just open up a conversation with Steinmetz came to this country, the only one allowed to smoke at GE and he smoked in every part of GE but put GE on his feet. When he came here, they wouldn't let him land because he was a hunchback. And they sent him off to Ellis Island, a little hunched back German. And this little hunchback German came into GE a wizard. And what that man knew, but not for one second, was a pipe ever out of this mouth. The only one allowed to smoke in all the labs because they couldn't take it from him. He was too valuable for anyone to lay the law down that Steinmens should not smoke in a certain area. So I'm not saying not to smoke, my dear, but one thing. And it was not Mr. Roosevelt who said it, he copied it or quoted it without giving credit. It was Thoreau who said it. The only thing we have to fear is fear. I know he said that in his inaugural address. And today when anyone quotes it, they quote Mr. Roosevelt as the author. He did not originate that at all. This morning's paper, the thought of the day, the biblical thought of the day. And they gave Paul in 1st Corinthians, 10th chapter as the author of the thought. It wasn't so at all. The minute I read it, I said, no, that's the Psalmist. The 24th Psalm, the earth is the Lord's. Yes, he was quoted. So they quoted it as originated by Paul. And that was the 24th Psalm. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. But the minute you read it, if you know your Bible, you know it. Yes, it appeared in Corinthians, but he was simply quoting the 24th Psalm. So I say, if you feel like smoking, smoke. You don't feel like smoking, don't smoke. There's a guitar, there's a guitar player, Zack Wylde, famously known playing for Ozzy and many others and plays his own stuff, Black Label Society, etc. And people were asking him, hey, can you come and speak to these people about not drinking because he doesn't drink. He used to drink excessively. He says, what the hell for? Basically. Basically that's his answer. What for? I'm not drinking for my reason. You don't want to drink, that's up to you. You want to drink, drink. You don't want to drink, don't drink. But he kindly shared his story slightly in an interview or two that the doctor says, hey, you like your little kiddies and wife and this thing going on? Yes, Zach says. And he says, well, how much of this are you drinking a day? He goes, well, I drink this, that, and the other case of this case of that, bottle of this bottle of that. He told him, well, no problem. The next time you come in here, we're pretty much, it's going to be your last day. That'll be it. Everything you value out there, those kids and that wife, you can just say goodbye now would be the best thing because it's going to happen. It's going to explode. I won't be able to do anything for you. Oh, what's the other option? He said to the doctor. The doctor said, you stop drinking and you can enjoy that wife and those kiddies, what have you. I don't know the exact timing of all that little detail, but he saw that he no longer wanted to drink that way. He went full stop. That was his experience. He wanted to, he imbibed. He overdid it to the point of explosion. Almost same thing with the bass player from Guns n Roses, because his story is a funny one, an interesting one. He was in some interview, MTV Cribs or something like that from back in the day, the bass player from Guns N Roses. And he says he was asked by the interviewer if he drank water. And. And the guy said, duff. He said, water, that would take place of the vodka in my stomach. Why drink water? He came to a position where his pancreas was exploding or about exploded or did something very bad inch of his life, decided to cut all that nonsense out, start mountain biking. I've read his biography. It's a wonderful biography. And if you want to do something, do it. Enjoy it. Enjoy life. You don't want to do something, you have a reason to not do it. Don't do it. It's your reason, not my reason. Their reasons, not yours. Yours is not mine. You're living your own life, and your own wonderful human imagination paints the picture for you. What do you want your wonder to be about? It can be anything. If you feel like smoking, smoke. You don't feel like smoking, don't smoke. I have a daughter, 22. So far she hasn't acquired it. So for her own sake, not because of any Health reasons. I hope she doesn't. But if she comes home smoking, I'd be the last to tell her to stop smoking. That's really a nice insight into Neville's personal world. He never heard that. I never heard that before. So I really don't care. I don't care what people do. I don't like people to be hurt. I don't mean suffer like having some ill effects in those things. I mean to hurt people. I mean not only physically, but mentally. I don't like people hurt mentally where people are insulted and the insult was intended. Who likes that? I don't think anybody that's watching this could be involved with that. I hope it always hurts me when someone is hurt that way. Outside of that, what they do in their own private lives, I don't care who's going to set themselves up as the norm as to what is right in this world. You live your life fully. But the end, I tell you, I can tell you the end. The end is God. The beginning was God. The end is God. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. So the end is God's gift to himself to you. Excuse me. So the beginning is God's gift of himself to you. And no one in this world could ever stop it. No one. But if in the interval you find pleasure in a cigarette, well then, I don't know. I wouldn't tell you to stop it. We tried Prohibition once, you know. It was an awful lot mess. Oh, what a mess. Such so much bathtub gin. You never saw such quantities of it. And we made thousands and thousands of men who had no moral code whatsoever, made them multi, multi millionaires. I read here recently that in 1926 there was a question asked of a magazine. What individual, not what company or family or group, what individual made the most money in the history of this country in any single year? The year was 1926. Well, I thought, well maybe Rockefeller, Mellon or Ford. I mentioned all these names. I was so far afield then they gave me the answer 10 pages later. And this by our government, this is not speculation, this is by our internal radio revenue department. And the sum of money that one individual made was $126 million and his name was Al Capone. That was not taxed. They got him on taxes afterwards for a very little amount. But he had his $126 million because he could not declare such money. So he made it and kept it. Al Capone. That's what Prohibition did. Well, he spun thousands into the land who had no sense of values whatsoever. No code but the making of money. That's all that they cared. So Al Capone, if you saw his end, he went a little bit off. He was adult pated and he couldn't carry on a conversation beyond the nth part of a minute. He was gone, completely gone. But he had his hundreds of millions. So I'm not a moralist, really. I'm not here to give any moral code to anyone, but to interpret God's word as I see it, as it has been revealed to me. Any other questions, please? Well, if there aren't any, remember, the book table's waiting for you. And I'll be here on Thursday. Thank you. That's a bomb of a lecture. Such wonder in one little lecture. I don't know how many pages that is, but I knew it was going to be good. Grace versus Law, February 11, 1964. And we're going to see you in the next one.
