I Am Ch 1 The Power Of Awareness by Neville Goddard

Neville Goddard explores how consciousness and the "I am" statement shape reality. He examines self-concept and manifestation through philosophical and biblical references, arguing that awareness of who you are is the foundation of what you create.
Neville Goddard, the power of awareness. 1952. Chapter well, let's see here. Dedication. Arthur and his beloved Verne, whose awareness brought this book into being. To Arthur and his beloved Verne, who whose awareness brought this book into being. Power of awareness. Nice. 1952. Okay. Chapter one. I am. This book is to reveal your infinite power against which no earthly force is of the slightest significance. It is to show you who you are, your purpose and your destiny. Chapter one. I am. All things, when they are admitted, are made manifest by the light. For everything that is made manifest is light. Ephesians 5:13. The light is consciousness. Consciousness is one manifesting in legions of forms or levels of consciousness. There is no one that is not all that is. For consciousness, though expressed in an infinite series of levels, is not divisional. There is no real separation or gap in consciousness. I am cannot be divided. I may conceive myself to be a rich man, a poor man, a beggar man, or a thief, but the center of my being remains the same regardless of the concept I hold of myself. At the center of mass manifestation, there is only one. I am manifesting in legions of forms or concepts of itself. And I am that I am. I am is the self definition of the absolute, the foundation on which everything rests. I am is the first cause substance. I am is the self definition of God. I am man. Oh man. I am all that is God right here. Self. I am is the self definition of the absolute. The foundation on which everything rests. I am is the first cause substance. I am is the self definition of God. Boom. In our example here, this is the representation of I am right in the middle. I am. Have sent me unto you. I am that I am. Be still and know that I am God. I am is a feeling of permanent awareness. The very center of consciousness is the feeling of I am. I may forget who I am, where I am, what I am, but I cannot forget that I am. The awareness of being remains regardless of the degree of forgetfulness of who, where and what I am. The awareness of being remains regardless of the degree of forgetfulness of who, where and what I am. I am is that which, amid unnumbered forms, is ever the same. This great discovery of cause reveals that good or bad man is actually the arbiter of his own fate, and that it is his concept of himself that determines the world in which he lives. His concept of himself. There's your self concept right there. Here's another one. Here's another one. Another one. There's infinite amounts. They all coexist at the Same moment. No such thing as time. We all live in one moment. Here's your self concept right now you want to be a different self concept. As we've discussed, you impress your subconscious, therefore it goes into your I am your all that is your God that gives, because I am half to him that hath it is given. So the objectification of your subjective impression, the more impressions you make, the quicker will be your expression as long as those impressions are made with feeling. In other words, if you are experiencing ill health, knowing that the truth about if you are experiencing ill health, knowing the truth about cause, you cannot attribute the illness to anything other than then to the particular arrangement of the basic cause substance. An arrangement which is defined by your concept I am unwell. This is why you are told, let the weak man say I am strong. Joel 3:10 for his assumption, the cause substance I am is rearranged and must therefore manifest that which is its rearrangement affirms. This principle governs every aspect of your life, be it social, financial, intellectual or spiritual. I am is that reality to which whatever happens, we must turn for an explanation of the phenomena of life. It is I am's concept of itself that determines the form and scenery of its existence. Everything depends upon its attitude towards itself that it will not that which it will not affirm as true of itself cannot awaken in its world. That is your concept of yourself, such as I am strong, I am secure, I am loved determines the world in which you live. In other words, when you say I am a man, I am a father, I am an American, you are not defining different I ams. You are defining different concepts or arrangements of the one cause substance, the one I am. So I am a man, I am a father, I am an American, I am a man, I am a father, I am an American. You're just defining the one concept. You're defining different concepts or arrangements of the one cause substance. The one cause substance is I am all that is God. That's the one cause substance. You're just defining that one cause substance through your self concept. Even in the phenomena of nature. If the tree were articulate, it would say I am a tree, an apple tree, a fruitful tree. When you know that consciousness is the one and only reality, conceiving itself to be something good, bad or indifferent, and becoming that which is it conceived itself to be. You are free from the tyranny of second causes, free from the belief that there are causes outside of your own mind that can affect your life. You are free from thinking there's something out in the world that's doing this to you. If you are sick, it's something out here is where you first point. But that's not the facts, Jack. That is not the facts. You want to make sure you remember. It's always here. At home is where you say I am unwell. That's where you said I am unwell. And that's what caused this self concept to believe it was unwell. It makes the impression into its subconscious and then it begets and gives birth to the sun, which is its offspring of that of that birth, of that union of conscious and subconscious that gives birth to the son. The sun is the experience of being unwell or sick. And then all the while you play a game with yourself and point out to the world that someone came by you and gave you some kind of sickness. Nope, not how it works. You couldn't be sick if you didn't have it in your self concept. If you believe I am healthy, I am strong, you won't have sickness in that self concept when you believe that. So anything can happen out here. You can work in a hospital, you can work with kids in preschool, it doesn't matter. When you have that consciousness of being healthy, nothing will affect you. Because in here where your consciousness is, you're not going to be affected. In the state of consciousness of the individual is found the explanation of the phenomena of life. If man's concept of himself were different, everything in his world would be different. His concept of himself being what it is, his concept of himself being what it is, everything in his world must be as it is. Thus it is abundantly clear that there is only one. I am and you are. That I am. And while I am is infinite, you by your concept of yourself are displaying only a limited aspect of the infinite. I am only a limited aspect of the infinite. I am. There's only one I am right there. You are only displaying 1, 1 version. Again, you have the freedom to choose any self concept you want by impressing your subconscious. You have the union within you into your subconscious and it objectifies, it begets the sun, it begets the offspring of your union within. When you self persuade, self convince, when you become in the feeling of that experience being real. I am well. I am strong. Even I am well and I am healthy. And I am strong becomes an impression and becomes objectified. It becomes your reality, becomes your experience. And nothing on the outside can affect you. When you attune your consciousness to the strength of I am, I am is going to be Strong or weak, whatever you claim it to be, Anything you say after the words I am, you're coloring infinite. The infinite source within you, you're coloring it. Whenever you put any words after I am, it could be anything. So you want to be selective. You want to be, I am strong. I am healthy. I am wealthy. I am in love. I'm happily married. I am satiated. I just ate a pizza. It's all good. I am healthy. That consciousness will not allow sickness to affect it, especially when the sickness is on the outside, because it can't come from the outside. It never does anyway. If you hear some people being sick, then you convince yourself that it's possible you can be sick. That's a different point, because then you convinced yourself of that consciousness. So then, therefore, you took on this as an excuse when it was actually you just changing your own consciousness. Then you objectified. You experienced in 3D reality the experience of being unwell. Hmm. Have we ever done that? Oh, my goodness. Okay. Build the more stately mansions, O my soul as the swift seasons roll Leave thy vaulted past Let each new temple nobler than the last. Shut thee from heaven with a dome more vast, Till thou at length art free, Leaving thine outgrown shell by life's unresting sea. Now, I don't see a credit for that poem, and I don't know if it's Blake, and I'll update you in the beginning of the next video. All right. Hope that was a good I love Anytime he gets into the I am. Because the I am is really good. We're going to repeat the opening quote, but I am. Boom, right there. All things, when they are admitted, are made manifest by the light. For everything that is made manifest is light. All right, we'll see you in the next chapter.
