The content features Neville Goddard discussing themes of faith, self-belief, consciousness, and the power of imagination as central to personal transformation and spiritual awakening. The speaker emphasizes the idea that belief in external powers diminishes one's own power and that true power and divinity reside within the self. The talk references biblical scripture and metaphors to illustrate these concepts, encouraging listeners to cultivate inner faith and imagine lovingly for themselves and others.
Neville Goddard, your faith is your fortune. Chapter eight. No other God. I am the first, I am the last, and beside me is no God. Isaiah 44, 6. I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt from the house of bondage. Thou shalt have none other gods before me. Deuteronomy 5, 6, 7. Thou shalt have no other God beside me. As long as man entertains a belief in a power apart from himself, as long as man entertains a belief in a power apart from himself, so long he will rob himself of the being that he is. Every belief in powers apart from himself, whether for good or evil, will become the mold of the graven image worshiped. Okay, so how. What does that look like? Let's go. Let's go to our circle of infinity here. All right. I am all that is God. Here is your self conception. This is you. As long as man entertains a belief in a power apart from himself, so long will he rob himself of the being that he is. This is your being. This is your consciousness. If you believe in a God apart from yourself, you are robbing yourself of the being that you are of knowing you are the answer. The beliefs in the potency of drugs to heal, diets to strengthen, monies to secure are the values or money changers that must be thrown out. Thrown out of the power. He can then unfailingly manifest that quality. There's a big, big sentence right there. I mean, you know, like, is it always in the news? Has it always been in the news? I mean, considering this book was written in 1941, probably written in 40 and 39, who knows? And it sounds like today sounds like the things we see or hear about today, the beliefs in the potency of drugs to heal, diets to strengthen monies to secure are the values or money changers that must be thrown out of the power. He can then unfailingly manifest that quality. This understanding throws out the money changers. Throws out the money changers Temple. Excuse me? This understanding throws out the money changers Temple. Ye are the temple of the living God. Ye are the temple of the living God. A temple made without hands. It is written, my house shall be called of all nations, a house of prince. But ye have made it a den of thieves. This basically means what your beliefs are, because this is the house right here. My house shall be called a house. I'm sorry? My house shall be called of all nations, a house of prayer. This is where prayer happens, right here. But you have made it a den of Thieves. If you believe in a world apart from yourself, you are robbing yourself. So this has become a den of thieves, right? Here your imagination has dwelled or dwelt upon the beliefs of the potency of drugs to heal, diets to strengthen, monies to secure. The thieves who rob you are your own false beliefs. Excuse me for jumping the gun there. The thieves who rob you are your own false beliefs. It is your belief in the thing, not the thing itself that aids you. It is your belief in a thing, not the thing itself that aids you. I am healthy. Not I believe in the drugs, okay? I am healthy. There's only one power. Keep that between us. By the way, we don't want anybody getting becoming aware of us saying that, okay? Let people have their business. That's their business. Your business is you. What's outside of you, that's their business. There's only one power. I am he. Because if your belief in external things, you think power into them. By transferring the power that you are to the external thing you believe. If you. If you believe the power is not in you and you transfer it outside of you, then you're transferring your power to that thing outside. But there is only one power. One power is I am he. Because of your belief in external things, you think power into them. By transferring the power that you are to the external thing, realize you yourself are the power you have mistakenly given to outer conditions. The Bible compares the opinionated man to the camel who could not go through the needle's eye. The needle's eye referred to was a small gate in the walls of Jerusalem which was so narrow that a camel could not go through it until relieved of its prick. Excuse me, of its pack. I'm reading too fast. The needle's eye referred to was a small gate in the walls of Jerusalem which was so narrow that a camel could not go through it until relieved of its pack. You know, the pack is baggage. I believe what he's saying here. That represents beliefs. The rich man that is the one burdened with false human concepts cannot enter the kingdom of heaven until relieved of his burden any more than could the camel go through this small gate. Again. Believing money is to secure is believing in the outer in that I am healthy, doesn't have to believe in something outside to make I am healthy, I am married. Does not have to believe in something outside to make I am married, I am in love, I am happy, I am wealthy. Does not need. I am healthy. Does not need. I am married and happy. Does not need anything on the outside. This is an inside game and you can make it into a game. Kids make it into a game all the time. Man feels so secure in his man made laws, opinions and beliefs that he invests them with an authority they do not possess. Satisfied that his knowledge is all he remains unaware that all outward appearances are but states of mind externalized. We've been talking about states of mind externalized. When you believe out here, in out here, then you're externalizing yourself. When he realizes that the consciousness of a quality externalizes that quality without the aid of any other or many values and establishes the one true value, his own consciousness. Consciousness. Let me repeat that sentence. When he realizes that the consciousness of a quality externalizes that quality without the aid of any other or many values and establishes the one true value, his own consciousness. When you realize I am wealthy, you externalize wealth into your self concept and that becomes your reality. That becomes what's around you. You believe I am healthy. Same. You believe you are married and happy. Same. You're in love. Same. I am in love. I am happy. The Lord is in his holy temple. Consciousness dwells within that which it is conscious of being. We went over this. Consciousness dwells within that which it is conscious of being. Once you are conscious of being, consciousness dwells I am. Man is the Lord and his temple. I am. Knowing that consciousness objectifies itself. Man must forgive all men for being that which they are. He must realize that all are expressing without the aid of another that which they are conscious of being. Peter the enlightened or disciplined man knew that a change of consciousness would produce a change of expression. Instead of sympathizing with the beggars of life at the temple's gate he declared, silver and gold have I none for thee. But such as I have the consciousness of freedom give I unto thee. What a wonderful example. And this is where Neville talks about imagining lovingly. For another great story is the one of Freedom Barry walking his dog one day and somebody came and was wanting a handout from Freedom Barry. And Freedom said, no, no, I don't have anything to give you. And basically I think either he said it, he did not say it aloud. But once the person walked off Freedom Barry went into his imagining lovingly state for that man and found that man in his imagination becoming full of opportunity and having this next opportunity to do what he loved to do. And he was getting paid for it. He was loving whatever was going to happen for that man. He just imagined lovingly for him that he saw him gainfully employed and gainfully giving to society, etc. He met the guy, I think a week or two later, or it was a month later. I forget the time interval. But when the guy said to freedom, Barry on the street goes, do you remember me? You probably don't. Freeman goes, yeah, I remember you. Because he imagined lovingly for him. The guy says, I was not happy with myself after that interaction with you. And I went out and I got myself a job and I got myself this opportunity and I've fruitfully multiplied my situation, which is an example, very, very tiny example here of imagining lovingly. Silver and gold have I none for thee, but such as I have give I unto thee. Who does not have an imagination and who cannot give that imagination lovingly for another. And that's any other. Someone is ill, someone is not well, you imagine them well, you imagine them calling you and telling you how much better they feel. And this applies to any and every single concept of yourself. It doesn't matter which. If you're imagining lovingly for another, you're here and you're imagining lovingly for another, you're imagining lovingly for your brother, basically. So it's all one, right? So when you imagine lovingly for another, you are imagining lovingly for yourself. As I said before, rising tide floats all boats. So when you send out that imagining lovingly for another, this is going to get a little deep. But if they reject what you are imagining for them, it literally bounces right back to you. And this is why the golden rule is so important. You want to only imagine lovingly for another. You really don't want to see any negatives because if the person rejects what you are imagining for them, it literally is coming back to you. It's a boomerang. But if they are, it's important to ask people what is it that they desire, because when they tell you and share with you what they desire, you can imagine lovingly for them and they can receive it. They can receive that which they desire because you're helping motivate that. It's the saying, when two or more gathered in my name, you become one of the two witnesses that make that event happen. You become self persuaded when you imagine lovingly for another, you persuade yourself of the other's opportunity, advancement, everything that's possible that they want. You imagine lovingly for them and it fruitfully goes forth, it becomes fruitful because they receive it again. If you imagine something crazy and they don't want that and they will can't even imagine themselves doing that, it's going to bounce right Back to you. So. So would you want to imagine something negative? No. Because if it doesn't get, if it's not received, you are going to be the receiver. So you want to be careful with that. The golden rule is what you should maintain and stick to when it comes to this kind of imagining. Lovingly for another. We have so many examples of this, but we're going to keep going here. Stir up the gift within you. Stop begging and claim yourself to be that which you decide to be. If I'm not married and I'm unhappy with my single status and I want to be married, I don't want to ask others what I should do or who I should go out with. That's not where. That's believing in an exterior thing. You want to believe in yourself. Believe in the subjective change that's happening within you, that you are worthy of marriage, that the opposite sex, like all men, are loving, caring, nurturing. Then you awaken. This objectifies into your reality. But you awaken that within yourself first. But you awaken it from the inside. It's not an exterior happening, it's an interior happening. Then it objectifies into your reality. Stir up the gift within you. Stop begging and claim yourself to be that which you decide to be. Do this and you too will jump from your crippled world into the world of freedom. Singing praises to the Lord. I am. Far greater is he that is you than he that is in the world. Far greater is he that is in you. Excuse me, in you. Far greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. There's a lot of sales pitches out there. There's a lot of wonderful things to be sold, a lot of wonderful things to be purchased. If you fall for it, then you're lacking the faith. Here the faith is I am He Other places Neville says that God is only not. There's two things that displease God, I think is what he said. And one of them is that the eating of the. Of the fruit, of the Tree of Life, of the tree of Good and evil. That's one thing that displeases God. The other thing is the lack of faith. And when you believe in something apart from yourself on the outside, then you are lacking faith. This is displeasing to your I am. All you have to do is bring it home. There is no penance. You just stop. Be still. Know that I am God. Back to your breathing, your I am meditation. You cut off the senses. Now you're back to the inside. I am. I am you're floating and now you're conceptualizing. You're conceiving what it is you want to be. It sounds so simple. This is the far greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. This is the cry of everyone who finds his awareness of being to be God. This is the cry of everyone that finds his awareness of being to be God. Because he is your imagination. Your recognition of this fact will automatically cleanse the temple. The temple? Your consciousness of the thieves and robbers restoring you to that. Restoring you. Excuse me. Let me clean up that sentence. Your recognition of this fact will automatically cleanse the temple. Your consciousness. Why do they call it a temple? It's right here. Your consciousness of the thieves and robbers restoring to you that dominion over things which you lost the moment you forgot the command. Thou shalt have no other God beside me. Me. Thou shalt have no other God beside me. No other God besides.
