Neville Goddard Freedom for All Chapter nine. The Annunciation. The use of a friend's voice to impregnate oneself with a desirable state is beautifully told. In the story of the Immaculate Conception, it is recorded that God sent an angel to Mary to announce the birth of his son. And the angel said unto her, thou shalt conceive in thy womb and bring forth a son. Then said Mary unto the angel, how shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, the Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the Highest shall overshadow. Therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. For with God nothing shall be impossible. This is the story that has been told for the centuries the world over. But man was not told that it was written about himself. So he has failed to receive the benefit it was intended to give him. This story reveals the method by which the idea or word was made flesh. God, we are told, germinated or begat an idea, a son, without the aid of another. Then he placed his germinal idea in the womb of Mary with the help of an angel who made the announcement to her and impregnated her with the idea. No simpler method was ever recorded of consciousness impregnating itself than is found in the story of the Immaculate Conception. The four characters in this drama of creation are the Father, the Son, Mary and the angel. The Father symbolizes your consciousness. Father symbolizes your consciousness. The sun symbolizes your desire. The sun symbolizes if you're here and you want there, that's your desire. Mary symbolizes your receptive attitude of mind. And the angel symbolizes the method used to make the impregnation. The drama unfolds in this manner. The Father begets a son without the aid of another. You define your objective. You clarify your desire without the help or suggestion of another. You go fishing. You close off the senses. You go into your closet. You close the door. You're in private. You go hunting. Your I am. You're floating. You're asking yourself, what would I love to do? What would I love to be? What would I love to possess? Then the Father selects the angel. Then the Father selects that angel who is best qualified to bear this message or germinal possibility to marry. You select the person in your world who would be sincerely thrilled in witnessing the fulfillment of your desire. Then Mary learns through the angel that she has already conceived a son without the aid of a man. You assume a receptive attitude of mind, a listening Attitude. And imagine you are hearing the voice of the one you have chosen to tell you what you desire to know. You assume a receptive attitude of mind. Imagine. I'm sorry, a listening attitude. And imagine you are hearing the voice of the one you have chosen to tell you what you desire to know. Imagine that you hear him tell you that you are and have that which you desire to be and to have. Imagine that you hear him tell you that you are and have that which you desire to be and have. It's your friend calling you and saying, hey, congratulations. I heard you are now engaged to be married. That's wonderful news. I'm so happy for you. You hear that? Even though you're here in a single relationship status, you desire that. So you impregnate your thoughts, your mind with hearing your friend tell you that they congratulate you. That's the angel. You remain in this receptive state until you feel the thrill of having heard the good and wonderful news. Another friend calls you in your imagining state. I just heard you're engaged. It's so wonderful. I'm so happy for you. Can I help you plan? Can I help you do anything? You're filling yourself with the thrill of the event by imagining your friend calling you and congratulating you. Then, like Mary of the story, you go about your business in secret, telling no one of this wonderful and immaculate self impregnation. Confident that in due season you will express this impression. Confident that in due season you will express this impression. The Father generates the seed or germinal possibility of a son. But in a eugenic impregnation he does not convey the spermatosa from himself to the womb. He has it born through another medium. Consciousness desiring. Consciousness desiring is the seed or idea. Remember all that is I am. God is always pouring forth desire to any self conception of His. We are all self concepts of Him. My Father and I are one. My Father is greater than I. The conceiver and his conception are one. The conceiver is greater than the conception. We're always going to be filled with desire from our Father, from our idea, from our of being, from our awareness of being, from all that is, from the source, from God. We're always going to receive desire that is never going to stop. Period. Always it is an always is. He has it born through another medium. Consciousness desiring is the Father generating the seeder idea. There's the desire, the seeder idea. A clarified desire is the perfectly formed seed or the only begotten son. Once you receive A desire, and you are on board with it. There it is, perfectly formed seed. This seed is then carried from the father. That is consciousness desiring. Consciousness desiring is here in your self concept. This seed is then carried from the father to the mother. Consciousness of being and having the state desired. Remember, the father and mother are both here inside of your self concept. When the father gives you the seed or the idea of that desire, you give that conception to the mother Mary, your womb. Father's given you the idea. You're on board with it. You see the potential and you want that you desire it. That then happens inside of you. The seed is then carried from the father to the mother. This change in consciousness is accomplished by the angel or imaginary voice of a friend telling you that you have already achieved your objective. Congratulations on your new wedding, on your new marriage, on your new family. Congratulations. It's so wonderful to hear this news that you are getting married. The use of an angel or friend's voice to make a conscious impression is the shortest, safest and surest way to be self impregnated. Now listen to what he's saying here. This is probably the most important sentence of the book. It's like the quickest you want to manifest quicker. Here it is, right here in this one sentence and all we read in this book. Imagine you are hearing the voice of a friend. Then make him tell you. Imagine he is telling you how lucky and fortunate you are to have fully realized your desire. I'm so happy for you. I'm so happy to hear the news. In this receptive attitude of mind, you are receiving the message of an angel. You are receiving the impression that you are and have that which you desire to be and to have you are. And you. You. Excuse me. It's so wonderful. You are receiving the impression that you are and have that which you desire to be and to have the emotional thrill of having heard that which you desire to hear is the moment of conception. Right when you hear the friend congratulating you, that's the moment of conception. This is not that difficult to pull off. In the moment you become self impregnated, the moment you actually feel you are now that or have that which heretofore you but desire to be or to possess. Let me repeat those few sentences. The emotional thrill of having heard that which you desire to hear is. Is the moment of conception. It is the moment you become self impregnated. The moment you actually feel you are now that or have that which heretofore you but desire to be or to possess. Oh my gosh. That is so. Such a wonderful. Such a wonderful image as you emerge from this subjective experience. You, like Mary the story will know by your changed attitude of mind that you have conceived a son. That you have fixed a definite subjective state and will in a little while express or objectify this state. Ah. End of chapter. It is so wonderful hearing your. Your friend very familiar voice congratulates you. It feels cozy. It feels warm. It is the moment of conception. I'm so glad to hear about your new opportunity. I'm so glad to hear about your newfound freedom. When you hear it in your friend's voice, it gives it such a wonderful impact inside of you. It is the voice of an angel. Because you're hearing.
