The I'm-Pressions Ch 13 Your Faith Is Your Fortune by Neville Goddard

Neville Goddard teaches how your faith shapes reality through the power of "I am" statements. He argues that consciousness and self-impression are the keys to transformation, drawing on biblical references to show how desire and awareness work together to manifest change in your life.
All right, Neville Goddard, your faith is your fortune. Chapter 13. We're almost halfway through the book the Impressions. The I apostrophe M. I'm the impressions is the title of the chapter. And as we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 1. Corinthians 15:49. Your consciousness, or your I am is the unlimited potential upon which impressions are made. I'm pressions are defined states pressed upon your I am remembering I am all that is God. Your self concept. Your impressions here, as you're going into your sleep, are what you're impressing upon your I am. And this is what is going to resurrect and become alive into your new self. Your impressions upon your I am. Your consciousness or your I am can be likened to a sensitive film in the virgin state. It is potentially unlimited. You can impress or record a message of love or a hymn of hate, a wonderful symphony or discordant jazz. It does not matter what the nature of the impressions might be. Your I am will, without a murmur, willingly receive and sustain all impressions. It doesn't matter what you impress upon your I am. Your consciousness is the one referred to in Isaiah 53. 3:7. He is despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief. And we did as it were our faces from I'm sorry. And we hid, as it were our faces from him. He was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. Yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our inequities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him. And with his stripes we are healed all. We, like sheep, have gone astray. We have turned every one to his own way. And the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth. He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. Your unconditioned consciousness is impersonal. It is no respecter of persons without thought or effort. It automatically expresses every impression that is registered upon, does not object to any impression that is placed upon it. For although it is capable of receiving and expressing any and all defined states, it remains forever an immaculate and an unlimited potential. Your I am is the foundation upon which the defined state or conception of yourselves, of yourself, rests. But it is not defined by nor it is dependent on such defined states for its being. Your I am neither expands nor contracts. Nothing alters or adds to it. Before any defined state was. It is when all states cease to be. It is when all states cease to be. It is all defined states or conceptions of yourself are but ephemeral expressions of your eternal being. To be impressed is to be I'm perfect pressed. I am pressed. First person, present tense. To be impressed is to be I'm pressed. All expressions are the result of I'm pressions. All expressions are the results of I'm pressions. Only as you claim yourself to be that which you desire to be will you express such desires. I am that. I am happily married. I'm not happily married here. I'm single and I don't like it. I want to be married. I am married. I am impressing this self. I am impressing with this expression. Even though this expression is not happening here, I am still impressing this self with it. Only as you claim yourself to be that which you desire to be will you express such desires. Let all desires become impressions of qualities that are not of qualities that will be, qualities of that. Excuse me. Let all desires become impressions of qualities that are not of qualities that will be. I'm your awareness. I am. I'm is God, and God is the fullness of all the eternal. Now I am. Take no thought of tomorrow. Tomorrow's impressions are determined by today's impressions. Now is the accepted time. The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Now is the accepted time. The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Jesus said. Jesus, representing salvation, I am with you always. Your awareness is the Savior that is with you always. But if you deny him, he will deny you also. If you don't become awareness of being aware of your awareness of being. If you deny it, you can try as you may and try as you might, but it's not going to change the fact that it exists. It's when you take conscious control of this understanding that we're describing here, this use of the law, that you will see the transformation happen consciously, not unconsciously, but by your effort consciously repeating this. I am with you always. Now is the accepted time. The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Jesus said, I am with you always. I and my Father are one, but he is greater than I. Your awareness is the Savior that is with you always. But if you deny Him, He. He will deny you also. You deny him by claiming that he will appear as millions today are claiming that salvation is to Come. This is the equivalent of saying we are not saved. He's coming. He's coming. That is admitting that you are not aware of being that you are not aware of how this law works at all. You must stop looking for your savior to appear and begin claiming that you are already saved. And the signs of your claims will follow. When the widow was asked what she had in her house, there were. When the widow was asked what she had in her house, there was recognition of substance. Her claim was a few drops of oil. A few drops will become a gusher if properly claimed. Your awareness magnifies all consciousness. To claim that I shall have oil is to confess that I have empty measures. Because it's saying I will. It's also this represents Oil represents joy. To claim that I shall have oil is to confess that I have empty measures. Such impressions of lack produce lack. I will be happily married. No. That in fact stakes the claim that I am not happily married. I. I will be in a happy relationship. No. That I'm saying no. But I'm not trying to correct, I'm trying to remind. That kind of impression is going to instill more of the same. It's I will is saying I do not I will be married. I am not married is what that equals. So you want to claim I am married, I am that God. Your awareness is no respecter of persons. It doesn't matter what your impression is. Your awareness is no respecter of persons. It doesn't see one as higher and one as lower. It gives what you give it. You give it the impression of lack. It gives you more of that to he that hath it is given. You have an impression of lack and poverty. He that has it is given. And since you don't have the impression of happily married and in a loving relationship that is taken away from you here because you don't have that faith here. It's given to those who have it. So this is why you want to instill that from within, purely impersonal God. This awareness of all existence receives impressions, qualities and attributes defining consciousness, namely, your impressions. Your every desire should be determined by need. Needs, whether seeming or real, will automatically be fulfilled when they are welcomed with sufficiently intensity of purpose as defined desires. Let me repeat that needs, whether seeming or real, will automatically be fulfilled when they are welcomed with sufficient intensity of purpose as defined desires. Knowing that your awareness is God, you should look upon each desire as the spoken word of God, telling you that which is. And somewhere else I was reading that desire is the voice of God. When you have a desire for anything. Anything that pizza or anything else. There could be a million examples. Any desire is coming to you from your awareness of being. It wouldn't be there if it wasn't coming from here. It wouldn't even exist if it wasn't coming from your awareness of being. All that is God I am. That's where desire stems from. With your impressions. If equaling your expression, only the desires that are befitting of that exist. So if you're over here and you're. Let's just for the fun of it use an example of being a criminal. For instance, the desires of the criminal are how to get more of the same because of the belief in lack. And they feel like they have to rob a store or a bank or what have you. Using a facetious example here, a criminal minded individual with all those impressions of lack that I have to go take it from another are going to receive desires to do so because that is befitting of that expression. That expression is happening because of the impressions. But this is no respecter of persons. Your I am God. All that is is no respecter and is not trying to correct you. It's only trying to give you that which you give it to him that hath knowing that your awareness is God. You should look upon each desire as the spoken word of God, telling you that which is Cease ye from man whose breath is in his nostrils. For wherein is he to be accounted of. We are ever that which is defined by our awareness. We are ever that which is defined by our awareness. Never claim I shall be that. Never claim I shall be that. Let all claims from now on be I am that I am. Never claim I shall be that single, unmarried, unhappy. I shall be married, happy. No, never claim that. Only claim from now on. B. If you're here and you want to be here I am that I am. Only claim that before we ask, we are answered. The solution of any problem associated with desire is obvious. Every problem automatically produces the desire of the solution. What a amazing sentence. Every problem produces automatically the desire of solution. The problem of the criminal of having no finances or funds has a desire to go rob a store or a bank or what have you or a person. Every problem automatically produces the desire of the solution. The problem of being single automatically produces the desire of solution. I am that I am married and happy. The desire. Man is schooled in the belief that his desires are things against which he must struggle. Sometimes the things we must overcome. Our education, for example. Man is schooled in the belief that his desires are things against which he must struggle. In his ignorance, he denies his savior, who is constantly knocking at the door of consciousness to be let in. I am the door constantly knocking. The desire wouldn't be here in your single, unhappy, unrelated unrelationship status. The desire wouldn't be constantly showing up unless there was a reason. Because that is what you want. You can hide it from yourself, you can run from it, you can pretend, you can say, oh, I'd be single, yeah, it's the better life for me, etc. The he man, woman, haters, etc, etc, etc, you can hide from it. But that desire exists for a reason. It's coming from you. And that impression that you have to change is here in this expression of self, this self concept. When you impress this, you will go through the resurrection and become the life of that desire. In his ignorance, he denies his savior, who is constantly knocking at the door of consciousness to be let in. I am the door. Would not your desire, if realized, save you from your problem? Wouldn't the desire, if realized, save the criminal from his problem? He has no money, needs to buy some more drugs. I don't know, I'm just making a fun example here. And he needs to go rob somebody or something. That desire exists because that's seems to be the solution to the problem. Would the desire exist in the single unmarried person who's not happy with that reality? Would that desire exist if it wasn't the savior of the problem, the savior of the person, the I am. Would not your desire, if realized, save you from your problem? To let your savior in is the easiest thing in the world. Things must be to be let in. You are conscious of a desire. The desire is something you are aware of. Now your desire, though invisible, must be affirmed by you to be something that is real. God calleth those things which be not are not seen as though they were. God calleth those things which be not, though they were. Again, I am that claiming. I am the thing desired. I let the Savior in. Just that claim. It doesn't take more than that. You're here, you're unhappy, you're not in a relationship, you're not married, you're not anything but you want to be. Just the claim of it, just the claiming. I am the thing desired. I let the Savior in. That is the beginning. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come into him and will sup with him and he with me. Every desire is the Savior's knock at the door. Every desire is the Savior's knock at the door. This knock every man hears. Man opens the door when he claims I am he. See to it that you let your Savior in. Let the thing desired press itself upon you until you are I'm pressed with nowness of your Savior. Then you utter the cry of victory. It is finished. Boy, oh boy. Man, oh man. Another amazing chapter. How does Neville just keep unpacking such wonderful ideas? I impressions. And as we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 1 Corinthians 15:49. Oh my God. Gosh, there's some good stuff in this chapter. We are going to see you in the next video.
