Giselle Toner rides her horse Adonis for the first time at her new place. She keeps it slow in the arena because of heat and his healing leg, saving trail riding for later. Adonis is noticeably more energetic than her other horse, TQ.
All right, so this is the first ride on Adonis in my little arena because it's just been so hectic and crazy trying to get everything situated, and the heat was so bad for the past couple days that I just didn't want to do anything. But anyway, I think he's really happy to have a little bit of a ride because he is a workhorse, and he probably misses doing things. So, anyway, it's all good, and eventually, I'll go back into my little trails. Right now, we're just gonna stick with the arena because he is still healing. He's still not 100% with his leg, and, you know, I don't want to push anything, but right now, I think it's just good to, you know, keep him where he was slow walk and just keep him on that healing track. But anyway, first ride on Adonis at my new place, so it's kind of fun. Yep. And eventually, I'll probably get a trailer one of these days, and then I'll be able to do a little bit more going out. But right now, I want to tackle my own back trails. You know, my trails in the back. So that'll be kind of fun to navigate them a little bit with both of the horses. I think Adonis needed to be ridden a little bit more because he's got a little more energy. TQ has been very happy to do nothing. All right, see you guys later.
Update on the arena! Lime rock is down, borders are being put up and then it'll almost be done!
