Hi, everybody, it's Giselle. And I am here to tell you that I'm going to give you a full report as to what I've been doing. And I know a lot of you are worried, or rather not worried, but wondering what's been going on with me. And I relocated recently, and I think a lot of you know that, but some of you don't. And the relocation has taken a lot of my time. You know, anytime you relocate, there's so many much going on and I've had so many different things to do. But I can tell you that I'm finally settled pretty much. And so that's going to give me the opportunity to bring you some quality content again. Also, this is a broken wrist. So I broke my wrist recently and I'm out of commission a little bit physically with my physical yoga practice, but not for much longer. This is going to be another couple of weeks and then it's going to be off. But I can still give you some quality content in this department. So what I'm gonna be doing is every Monday, I'm gonna be sending you a video and it'll be called Mindful Monday. Now, we all know that Monday is the most stressful day of the week. Monday is the day where we're starting our new week. We are running out the door, going into our work, and we have a short weekend usually where we have some supposedly a little bit of time to rest. Meanwhile, most of the time, the weekend is not restful. That's the time where we're running around doing all the errands that we don't have time to do while we're working, you know, during the week. So I figured Monday would be a good day for me to give you some pearls of wisdom, maybe some ways to ease you through your week, maybe some things to really, really start jarring your brain so that you start becoming the best that you can be, maybe making some transformations in your own life. And also I'm going to be going through some questions that people have sent me for years now that I've accumulated. And I've actually answered a lot of these people personally or through email or through other videos. But I'm going to go through some of the most important ones that I've. That I've had that I think will really help you. One of them that I think would be a good one to start with because, you know, meditation is a. Is a huge part of yoga, and that is yoga. Yoga is meditation. But I had somebody ask me about thoughts and what to do about these thoughts that you get while you're meditating or while you're trying to meditate. And sometimes these thoughts can be a little disturbing because we may have thoughts that are a little bit. Not exactly the kind of thoughts we want to bring in and hold in, okay, maybe of things that have happened to our lives that may be a little bit upsetting. But this gentleman in particular was having some real difficulty. So I'll read his. His question to me. Hello, Giselle. I just started meditating recently, and I need help. I need help in getting rid of the thoughts that I get while I'm trying to meditate. I get thoughts that are very disturbing, thoughts that are destructive in nature, unfortunately, I get these thoughts, and I don't know what to do. And I can't quiet my mind down. I'm afraid to get these thoughts because I know that it'll stop me from my meditation practice. And I don't want to go back into that practice because I'm afraid of the thoughts. Eventually, these thoughts start to get to me, and I really feel very sick over it. And so he goes on to say, the thoughts make me uneasy, and they prevent me from settling down. Why is this happening? Can I do something to stop these thoughts? Jeremy from Indiana. All right. So, Jeremy, what I wanted to tell you, and I do want to explain a lot of what happens when we start to meditate. When we meditate, our minds are going to start chattering. That is the process of purging stress. Now, a lot of times what will happen is our minds are going to be very, very active during the day because we have things that are keeping our minds active. But as soon as we try to settle down, the mind is going to go into full gear. Full, full gear. And what's known as the chattering monkey starts. So that chattering monkey is going to actually prevent you from settling down. It's going to bring up all the things that are stressful. It's going to bring up all the things that you really don't want to remember. And in a way, that is actually good, because we bury things that are painful. If you bury the things that are painful, it's going to be very difficult to get through them eventually. And they'll just keep recurring over and over and over again at the most inopportune moments. So bringing those stressful thoughts out into the open is actually a great thing because we will purge them. And, you know, once you face these fears, they disappear. Okay, that's a very famous quote. So face your Fear they will disappear. So if you start to realize that thoughts are sometimes really not true, they may be pertaining to things that happened to you years ago that's not even here anymore, or it may be pertaining to things that you think are true, but they're really not. And I want you to dissect the thought. So while you're meditating, you will not be able to go into a meditation with these really, really stressful thoughts happening. So I want you to put that meditation practice aside if this starts happening to you, and I want you to go full blown into awareness mode. I want you to take a piece of paper and pencil and I want you to write down the problem, the problem or the thought that you're having. So for instance, for Jeremy, he has thoughts that are very destructive. Writing down the destructive thoughts are very important. Making them very clear, making them very prominent, and giving them a voice and putting it on paper. So whatever the stress is, whatever the problem is, put it down on paper, write it down, and be very detailed about it. And then look at it and examine it. And I want you to say to yourself, is this really, really happening? And most likely it's not happening to you at this moment. Most likely, the stressful thoughts or the fearful thoughts or the destructive thoughts are not things that are really present in your life right now. It may just be things that you have drugged along into your life that are no longer here anymore. Okay? And so that's a great way to start to understand that thoughts are just thoughts and that sometimes we need to give it a voice. We need to look at it and dissect it. When you dissect it and you take it apart, you'll actually see that it's not even valid anymore. And therefore that fear will go away. You know, it's just like, you know, remember when you were a child and you were sleeping and the room was dark and you thought that there was a boogeyman in the corner, and then you started to cry and your mom came in, she put the light on, there's nothing in the corner. It might have been a chair or it might have been something else, but there's nothing in the corner, it's not a boogeyman. And when you shine the light on that problem, it will actually start to go away. So believing thoughts are a sure way to stay stuck. Believing your destructive thoughts or believing your stressful thoughts are a sure way to get stuck and stay stuck. Now, there are two kinds of thoughts, and we are going to go through this more and more in detail as I go through these questions on Mondays for you because I'm really going to start getting some really heavy duty stuff going here. So if you're interested, stick with me because we're going to start really pondering a lot of things that are going to maybe shine some light on problems that maybe you have been having. So, two different kinds of thoughts that we have. One thought is of the destructive nature, which is what Jeremy is having. And sometimes they're not just destructive, they're painful. Or we have fears, we have doubts, we have things that have happened to us in our lives. So that's one kind of thought. Those are the thoughts that I'm going to call invalid. They're not valid because they're not here anymore. They're just memories of things were in the past. The other kind of thought that we'll have are valid thoughts that we really do need to take action on. Like for instance, okay, my mortgage is due in two days and I have to pay that, okay? So that's not something that you can just push aside and say, oh, that's just a fallacy. That's real. You need to think about that and you need to get that done. But I want you to really be able to differentiate the difference between invalid thoughts that do not have any place in your life right now or ever and valid thoughts and valid things you really do need to take care of. So shining the light on those two differences is going to be very, very, very helpful for you and very important. And so as we go through these series, these sessions and these videos on Mondays, I'm going to start elab more on how you can start to really differentiate between these two different kinds of thoughts and how to totally take a thought that's invalid and wipe it away so that you actually will not even be worried by it anymore and it has no place and you'll become peaceful, very peaceful about things that really have no place in your life. And then the other thoughts that are valid that you do need to take action on, we're going to start working on clarity and how to really focus on those things and how to get our minds really sharp so that we can start taking care of those things very effectively to make our lives much better, much happier. Okay? So I'm going to conclude this session, this mindful Monday session, and I hope that you got something out of it. And I really encourage you to stay tuned for future times where I'm going to be giving you more information than going to be very helpful, okay? And the only thing that I'm going to leave you with right now is telling you to be your most brilliant self. There's a brilliance inside of you, and we are going to start uncovering it. Have a great rest of the week. Namaste.
