How Jayesh Gopinath's Passed the PMP Exam? | PMP Success Story #pmp #chennai #infocareer

This is a YouTube video titled "How Jayesh Gopinath's Passed the PMP Exam? | PMP Success Story #pmp #chennai #infocareer" containing an English conversation recorded in 2025. The content features Jayesh Gopinath sharing his detailed experience and journey of preparing for and passing the PMP certification exam, including the training, mentorship, and resources provided by Info Career. GLS Lakshmi Sekhar Grandhi participates as a mentor, engaging in a supportive dialogue with Jayesh, discussing the effectiveness of the training and offering encouragement to future PMP aspirants.
So I'm Jayesh, I'm working with a company called Infor. It's a software company. So I'm working with a product called Inexus which is into supply chain. Cloud supply chain. Right. So there are a lot of projects going on in IT projects. So I thought of getting a credential. So just to know the like I always hear about PMP credential. Just wanted to earn this and understand I was always hearing, okay, it's very challenging exam and it is hard to clear the exam. You need to have clear determination and the work towards it to achieve it. And also you need to get the right mentor coaching partner as well. So yes, I just checked with the PMI and they directed info carrier. And I know soon after, maybe two days after I got the call from the info carrier sales teams and I planned to join the training. So in fact the training, I joined the training in the month of Jan. I was in Bangalore, I'm working in Bangalore. So I had to travel to hometown because of some personal commitment. And the rest of the training I continued because of some personal commitment and I had to travel here and there after coming to hometown in Kerala. So two months I lost time like almost after the training completed in Feb and I lost time in March and and April. It was the right time that you started the bridge session, right? So from that day onwards now I didn't look back, I didn't even waste a single day of whatever I type. I could achieve in every day before office hours and after office hours and I could utilize that. And not even one day I spent time for sitting idle or watching anything TV or movie. So throughout the training and while beginning the training that you set that context that from today onwards that you are BMP and you also determine to think that okay, so and so date that I'm going to clear the exam and you are PMD on this day. So that context, in fact that context helped me and boosted enhanced my confidence and determination. So because of that, no I could achieve this great achievement today. And of course that you as a mentor coacher, you know, you put that challenging tips always every day, you know, you are not just focusing on the training content every day, but over and above that, the coaching or the wordings, whatever you're using, it was always inducing us, right? Specifically inducing me. I know to think about, okay, I need to get this done. No, I just do it. That you always say don't worry about exam, you just do it. That is what. So I wanted to follow your instruction and Advice and followed step by step. And I was preparing. I didn't, I didn't communicate too much to you even through WhatsApp or call, but I just wanted to focus on the training content and whatever you were instructing, I was just following that and I did that. And the mock test, that was the highlight of the, you know, the complete training that was really challenging. In fact, even more than today's exam, the actual PMP exam. You know, I was thinking, okay, this is something, I mean I was literally tensed on all these four days whether I would clear at least a score of 50 percentage. But when I got the results, okay, better. And when I, you know, got the comment from you, okay, you scored good. And that again, my confidence, okay, I can achieve this. So no need to think or no need to worry about anything about the exam. Just follow it and then just do it. That is what exactly I did and that is what I am where I am now today.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for having trust on us and then continuously following whatever it is. And so that's one thing which if we can just put up so everything will happen automatically. I used to tell, just follow this and then you will get it. Okay, Right. So thank you for strictly following whatever you just said. And normally people will mess up, okay. They, they take multiple inputs and then it goes on. Okay. So yeah, and so as you rightly mentioned, you should follow this automatically. Get it. Okay, Tell us about the resources, whatever we given you, is it sufficient or the road to project success? IC leaf how that useful for you?
Of course, that was really fantastic and really helpful and that was the only thing I followed since you shared the PMBOK guide under Rita's book and over and above a platform where we could do some practice, you know, small, small mock test, you know, after. See since the time you started the bridge session and you were telling us, okay, once you complete the training in the morning today itself, you need to complete the, I know, the test or the mock test for the portions what we have covered. And I was following that and that was literally accelerated. And I practiced exam twice because I was confused or I was too overwhelmed with the content because so many pages and most of the content or most of the terminologies or process very new to me. Even though I'm working with an IT company, I don't think that there is a proper project management is followed and I hardly hear about anything that exact content. Whatever is, is, you know, taught to us or the content is there in the guide and the material you provided more than that the road to project success that the portal and the IC leaf portal. That is what exactly helped because whatever we learned on that day or during the training and we can we could literally go and test our knowledge. That was really helping and it was fantastic methodology that I know you and Info Carrier is using. That is what it is very important. And that is what help to you know, gain knowledge. Okay. Once we do that practice testing and we can easily go and check. Okay. If there are wrong answer, there is explanation given and that is what you know help to understand. Okay. Why we selected wrong. What is that reason behind for that particular right answer. Those explanation is really help to understand because all whatever the content I was going through the RMC's book or the PDF document just reading out. But I know the explanation more helped me. You know, while answering those question or finding out what is the reason behind for the incorrect answer or what is the reason behind for the right answer which is explained in the IC leaf question bank. That is more than enough. And over and above that the four mock test is literally tested. The 200 question from you know, from the four all four the test literally tested. I was that's a really challenging more than the exam. What I attempted today it compared. That's the reason I felt. I believe that's the reason I felt easy today to move over when I could also manage time. I was thinking whether I could manage time or not. So while practicing the mock test, even though there is a 200 question I could, you know achieve only within that specific time. Even there were a few minutes left, you know, after attending the 200 requests. So I thought okay, if I can manage to understand on so and so time even I have 20 or 30 minutes left. Okay. I can easily manage the 180 questions in the 230 minutes. So all these fantastic strategy that you already been following from the institute perspective or from the coaching or a training perspective. That's fantastic. And I would suggest keep continuing. And yes, I don't think that you need to do that that thing. It's just a fantastic strategy. It's just that it is helping more than I know what we are thinking.
Thank. Thank you. Thanks for sharing that. And so what do you want to say to PMP ASPIR people who want to go for the certification?
Yeah. So beyond the certification, what is something that we need to have a determination. Right. So and the advice or the mentorship what we are getting from Info career or from Mr. GLS Lakshmi Segasa and we need to follow that. That's it. So we don't need to be distracted with any other inputs or from some other individual or any other source or maybe Google. We don't need to rely on that. We just need to follow the advice or instructions what you are providing or the info career is providing. We just need to be aligned with that and the success will be yours.
Thank you, Jay. Thank you Jay. And so is it worth the money what you invested, the journey, the this four, five months, whatever you put it now, the kind of investment you, you, you invested. Okay. Is it worth.
It's priceless. I gotta say it's worth, it's priceless because I didn't, I didn't expect, you know, it's been so long. I'm so, I'm being to professional work more than 30 years, 13 years. So I was thinking what would I know? Boost me, boost my career further or how could I gain knowledge and I can practically apply or share the knowledge. I'm a person who always want to share knowledge to others, who help others, train others. So this is something as a universal language, right. So the standard process methodologies which I could learn, it's not, you know, it's all because of you know, you and the, you know, info career. So I could simply Google and understand the know what is the process. But I think the way that I learned from info Career and from you, that is what the right thing which I could gain knowledge and clear this. So the money, what you are investing, of course I would say it's, it's not just worth or okay, I'm satisfied for the money I invested, I think for getting an earning certification. A PMI credential. Yes, of course, you know, it's a great achievement and more than that, no we get a such a mentorship right from, from the right individual, from the right trainer or mentor and right institute. That is what it's, it's you know, adding value more than you know, getting a PMA credential. So we are getting the knowledge right. So we are understanding okay, what the way, what, how we need to learn and you exactly you and the, you know, Natarajan sir, the Karthik everybody presented, it's very simple and we were able to simply follow it. And then finally as you say, always say don't worry about, just do it. So the method or the training pattern that you use, of course the birth session that you, that without even charging additional money that you and the team presented and it's of course that's helped so More than. More than trainees or students that as an institute you have a commitment that you know you need to create values. So more than a money minded, more than money focused as an institute you are focusing on creating value. So creating professionals rather than just giving a training and earn money. That is what I felt. And so I would say I. I cannot say it's just worth it. It's priceless.
Thank you. Thank you, Jay. And anything you want us to improvise or anything which we can. Anything we missed during this discussion, during this journey and which you want us to add to this mentoring.
I don't find any single thing give us a feedback or improvement. Yes, maybe I think that I heard or maybe I understood that all these. You know, because of pandemic that you switched, you know the online. Whether you were doing the, you know, train your centers. So you exactly put that strategy that you know, switch that or the adapted that methodology now during you know, to utilize or the current situation and how you can give value to the people or the trainees who are aspirants for earning the PMI credential. That's what's fantastic. As an institute or as an overall team, as a trainer you already know what need to be done exactly on the dot that how you need to quickly change your. Like the Agile methodology says that adaptive and incremented. Exactly. You are following that, you know that. And as a. As a trainer, as an institute, as a whole team. So I don't have anything as a. As a feedback or improvement. Just that keep innovating and keep delivering value and keep creating professionals like me even in future is just that whatever. As a. As a training institute or training partner. Of course you get instructions or whatever from the PMA as a professional person or as org perspective or as a authorized training partner. So of course that you as a training institute you will be following that. So there is nothing from me as feedback. Whatever is following from the institute perspective or training perspective, everything is good. I don't want to call just a training institute. I would rather call info carrier as a mentoring university. It's just the right word. As a training center or just trainer more than it's beyond training that it's as a mentorship, the coaching or the guidance that you and the team is giving that is actually worth it. We just need to follow that and definitely the success will be yours. As rightly, I don't know who named that portal Road to Project Success exactly literally that the word or the title or the website name or the portal name is exactly matching and I don't know who put that name but exactly the same. I don't know, maybe it's you. So it's exactly matching.
Yeah, it's my boss Chandrasekaran and his brainchild that one. But yeah, credit goes to him. And thanks, thanks for sharing that and thank you Jay. Thanks, thanks. And please convey our regards to your family members also who would have been behind the doors and they supported you and please be in communication. We'll be moving you to a new group of people where we will be sharing you knowledge sharing sessions weekly at least monthly you will get three, four sessions whenever you have possibility you can attend that and keep learning and any opportunities are there. We will also publish over there and so please be in communication, please be in that forum and we all will grow together. Okay, so that's my invitation for.
