Hi. Good evening Mohan Babu. Congratulations first of all for cracking this PMP exam. And good evening sir.
Thank you. Thank you.
Great, great to hear and hope you would have learned a lot of things in project management. And thanks for accepting for this kind of a video recording just to get the feedback from you. Thank you so much for your time. And one thing is just want you to explain us how you come to know about info career and how you enrolled and from that how your journey began for this PMP preparation and how long you took and how you cracked and how our material helped us for you to you know, crack the exam. You can proceed. Before that please introduce about yourself little bit in between. If any question is that I will ask you. You can now go over to you.
Yes. Yeah. So my name is Mohan Babu Narendran. Yeah so I. My total experience is now around 1718 years. So I joined with Satyam. I worked as an engineer then promoted to team lead then the project Manager. So every three years then I joined Nokia. I joined Nokia in 2009 and from 9. From 9 I am associated with Nokia till date the project management. I started somewhere around 2016 as a project manager. Officially I was assigned In Nokia from 2016 I was doing this project manage for all my Nokia projects. So this PMP is one of our Nokia internal target, right? So they want to expose to their customer, right? To go with the number of certified managers. Though they have many managers but the certified manager count is very less and when we go to the competitors, right? And definitely this PMP is a standard, right? And correct. Going with us recognize the project manager is always a value add for the company.
So.
So there is a target for our company. Like each and every year we have to bring these many number of certified managers. I convert the managers to a certified manager so that is the one of the target. So like. Like. Like this target was set to all our managers and the last year one of my manager named Narayana he joined your center and he got certified. Then this year is the target for me and one of my colleague also she also joined info career and today she also cracked. So we started with the reference of Nara, you know our colleague with info career and we joined in January 2023. So yeah, so very quick. Yeah yeah yeah yeah. So yeah in December last week. December last week exactly. I think 24th we started December 24th and we completed the course by February first week and it took us like three months actually we prepared one month back but again we did the review etc and we just gave exam Today sir. So otherwise we. We have prepared a month back.
Okay so how. How was our material like row two first of how was our training? And I think it should be online train right? Online training.
Yes, it's online training. Yeah, it's online training.
Yeah.
I attended few training from Chennai then I went to native and I attended a couple of sessions there.
Okay.
Training is good sir, Training is good. But yeah, maybe I'm not that participative in one or two trainings.
Okay.
Yeah yeah there is some always in online there are some distractions so I have two kids, they come and distract me now and then right so. And a few times really to be frank, right. Some of the courses may be boring when it comes to this agile. Right? Few hours are boring. Okay so that is an honest feedback online. Yeah yeah but. But what what helped me right after this we didn't stop right? And we went to our scheduler and we again gone. I again gone through all the videos. So whatever I left because of distraction, whatever I unable to focus during our online class right so going through the videos again I could able to again recollect what we discussed what we what mentor told during those online. Then again when I go on through these videos right? It really helped me so I could able to catch up whatever left, right? Whatever is not clear during that time then I able to recognize.
So you listen to the road to project success video record.
Yes sir. Yes. Yes.
So how was that? Whether that was very useful when you listen to and take notes.
Yes, yes. Reuseful. Yeah because I can. I can anytime I can rewind it back correct right so and I can again come right so that is really useful sir. Though we have online classes though you allow us to ask questions and you answer it but still right? That is very helpful. I can repeat it as many number of times right? Till I understand. Okay so that is very useful.
And how about our IC leaf questions? So we have a thousand five hundred plus questions right? In all the knowledge areas plus people process, business environment. We do have lot of questions in hybrid agent. Did you practice any question from hybrid Agile and people process environment. How was it? Any feedback?
Yes sir. I practiced till process.
Okay.
Hybrid Agile Agile. I took so agile all those like I. I think there are 18 testers. I took all those 18 test and then process and people I took. I think there is one more last session on hybrid agile. I don't know but I didn't take that. I didn't take those questions. Okay but yeah so before that as I said okay you proceed with the mock test. Mock exam.
So normally we recommend for. Yeah, mock exam. I think you're taken but normally we recommend to take hybrid question. That's okay because couple of hybrid questions are covered in the mock examination. So maybe that would have helped you out.
So maybe it could have been repeated. But during the mock test I felt a few questions are really new for me. Fresh few topics are kind of a fresh for me. Maybe the the reason could be I didn't attend that I beta check okay. On those six questions. Yeah.
So how much you scored in mock exam?
So I attempted three exam out of four I attempted three. So first one I took a 58. The second one 64 and the last one 68. I mean the third one 68 and the fourth ones I said okay, now you're good. You can no need to spend again time giving the fourth exam. You can again revisit, recall all the points and you can directly go for the exam. So the fourth exam I didn't give sir.
Oh, that's okay. Three is in fact three is more. We normally recommend two only. Anything around 60 you score, you're ready for the exam. But you have taken all the all the way to write all the three mock exam.
All the three. I reviewed all the three and answers. Everything I reviewed sir. So almost like eight hours I spent for each exam. Each exam. Oh, four plus four. So.
So how was the the mentoring from our side? Did you were in touch with Lakshmi Shekhar?
Yes. So the last four days. The last four days I'm in touch with the Lakshmi sir. Yeah, very good. During the during the other test process, group test and all like I didn't disturb him. No problem. In fact I don't fire like felt I need is mentoring that time.
Okay.
But during this last three days I took his mentor. I'm entering continuous. He guided me.
Yes, very great. Great. So when you wrote the exam like how much you got? You got all the above. So now you are able to correlate right. Our mock exam and the final your results has got a correlation. Like when you score 55 plus you're able to get more target. Right.
So on this aspect, in fact, in fact I was very skeptical and I was doubting Sir. I got only 58% in mock ex will I able to pass? Sir said no need to worry. If you take 58, I'm very confident you will get 75 in the real exam. Oh, that gave me a confidence. Okay. So maybe that is the level of standard we have in this ICliff. I thought like that then so that is. That is a kind of a boost, correct?
So what do you want to tell the other PMP participants who are going to take on anything you know about any uniqueness about unique info carrier? You can able to tell and have our mentoring process. You can little bit talk about that kind of a feedback, correct Sir.
So maybe maybe a best practice or maybe a practice what I followed I can maybe I can able to explain.
Sure.
It could be helpful for us. So while doing this not for the mock exam, while doing the other exams, right? Other process level exams, other process group exam. Whenever I find any question where I don't I don't know the answer, right? So just like that I didn't write an answer blankly. I know it is maybe it's right or wrong, but I parallel I searched the net or I browsed the materials and I read what what is the question right? So there will be some keywords, right? Maybe I may not come across the keywords during our class something some are some questions are even outside the syllabus also, right? Oh maybe I yeah maybe I may not come across or I might have missed also. But while writing the exam, right? I parallelly I search Google. I understand what is it even you you can take even a like a simple some motivation theory, right? There are like 4:5 motion theory. It will it will be always for you to confusing, right? At the first time McGregor will you will confuse with. So like that you'll get confused, correct? But yeah so at the time of writing the exam itself I will Google it and I will find I'll understand what is the answer, right? Maybe that helped me to directly I can able to remember that. Okay. I I because what I thought right? Write all the 25 questions then you go and see the answer, right? The importance of that might be missed out when I'm reviewing all the 25 answers. So when you do then and that.
When you do then and there you can able to remember.
I can able to remember easily. Yeah.
You did immediately. The moment you.
I did immediately. Yes sir.
You got stuck up. You went and search for the answer.
I went yeah, yeah, yeah. So in each and every exam, right? Though we have 2025 exam. I face such questions two or three questions, right? And I didn't care about the timer. I said okay, let the timer runs okay. Let me spend this two time two minutes or three minutes understand what it is actually then I gave the correct answer. Then I reviewed it also then review it. The answer is right. I am not focused about getting 60%, 70% right. I. I just want to know what it is. So. So I correlated that may not be there for us while doing a real exam, but for that at the time of practicing. Right. The beginner level intermediate. Yes sir. It helped me to remember that. So when I'm struggling it I'm getting an answer. It is getting directly into the mind. So like. Like that I read it and parallel notepad. Right. So those things I make a hint. Okay. I'm struggling in this question, in this area, this theory. And I make a note in the notepad. And while reviewing the answers also I might have given a answer thinking that 100 I'm right. Right. But while reviewing it I might have given a wrong answer. So then it tells me okay, so your understanding is wrong in this area. You have to see this key point, this keywords. So those kind of things. And then I make a note in the notepad plus in the notepad. So those things I reviewed at the before one day before this exam like today I gave a session I were reviewing all those things. And even before writing the mock exam also I have reviewed all those points.
Excellent. Excellent. So that is how you. Yeah. So your. Your all the IC leave questions help you a lot, right? You would have completed beginner level everything.
Yes, everything. All the questions.
Yeah, yeah. Anything you want to. I mean you already told that you had a different way of practicing the question. You immediately searched the results and immediately you learned about that. Any other you want to tell the PMP aspirants? Any other feedback about info care? Kind of.
Maybe. Maybe one improvement point. All your online classes. If you connect the classes face to face that will be adding a few more importance to the value to this classes. Because we are out of 10 classes classes. I think two or three classes we had face to face class. Oh so those classes are very interesting.
You came to here. You came here.
No, no, not face to face. In. In the online video video like when we. When the mentor is on mentor is explaining over the video rather than the video is off. Just hearing the volume, just hearing the voice. Right. I got the point.
So you want the video should be switched on.
Ah, right. So at least the mentor mentor see the mentor face. Right. I got so yes sir. So so it makes a very good classes. Yes. Those classes I didn't have that distraction. Whatever I told destruction. Right. So whenever the tutor is on, I personally feel like a tutor is standing in front of me.
Okay.
So the the distractions like getting a call, seeing the mobile, seeing some Pop up message. Those things avoided when the mentor is we. I can see the matter though. The mentor is not seeing me. If I see the mentor right. The mindset right. Is changing.
Very good suggestion.
That is one. That is one improvement suggestion, sir.
Definitely.
Yeah. Otherwise it's a very, very good Sunday. Your material is all very good, sir. I didn't take any other extra materials. I just followed. I just.
You didn't study any other book like pm? No, no.
No book.
No book. No book. Only our road to.
Only your material. Yes sir. Yes sir. Only your material, sir. I just memorized those 49 processes. That's it. Only that memorization I did. And rest all. I didn't memorize anything, sir.
So you could have a jail. There are a lot of questions would have come from a jail. Right. When you wrote the exam yesterday.
Today almost, almost 60 to 70% is agile based. So when we say agile base is again not pure agile, almost all the questions they say right. Organization is moving from ready to agile. And they gave some scenario and they say one phase is agile, one phase is predictive how you will handle the scenario. So it's like that though it's predictive. They have included some agile flavor.
Flavor in the term. Okay. In fact PMI want. Project management should want everyone to learn Ajay. But you can continue to work in your waterfall. They want to use the Agile practices in the project that you're doing. That's what their vision is. That's why they're bringing all the Agile flavor inside the waterfall model concept. I hope whatever you have learned in Agile, whatever you have learned in waterfall will never. Whatever you learned in particular, whatever you are doing in waterfall will never go for, you know, kind of how to say diminishing value. And all the value will be always be high. Only thing is.
Yes sir.
PMI want to use the Agile best practices inside the waterfall model concept. Okay.
And in fact because of this addition of Agile I am. I feel the PMP exam is getting bit easier, sir. Because I feel the predictive is more theoretic and you have to follow the rules because of the Agile is there. Right. It's always flexible like how you are adapting to the changes. Right. Even the questions are also very flexible.
Correct.
And yes.
Good. Good point. Okay. So thank you so much. So any other future training that you would like to do, please get in touch with us. So we will study a lot of interesting certifications. You can get in touch with us and please enjoy. Celebrate your success and with your family.
Thank you sir.
Thank you. Yeah yeah. And yeah. Be in touch with us. So thanks for the feedback. And more important, thanks for the time that you have given for us the last 15, 20 minutes. So hope we will contact you or you. You can be in touch with us. And so you're working in Chennai, right? Chennai.
I'm working in Chennai. I'm working with Nokia. Yes.
Okay. Nokia Telecom. Okay.
Yes. Nokia Telecom.
