Pratap shares how he passed the PMP certification exam, walking through his training process, the challenges he faced, and the support he got from his Info Career trainer. The conversation includes feedback and encouragement from the trainer throughout.
So I am working as a software project manager in Zatta. Formally it is labco. We have now merged it into the top. So I am working in data for more than two plus years now. So this is about my background, professional background and coming to the PMP certification. Yeah, I mean we got trained by you info career in the first day. I mean I was not very sure that I will clear the PNP certification or something like that. But my, the. My intention to join this training was to gain the global vocabulary of this project management. Okay. The very first day you were asking every, every participants what what is the expectation of the training? Even that time I told you about this and you noted it down and you. Every time when you engage with us, you where you are giving all this vocabulary and like you are catching everyone need and then delivering it perfectly. So I like the way you, you took the first day of the training and yeah, that moment got sparked and it continued for the rest of the five days. But unfortunately I could not attend the last day. Even then I informed you. But you helped me out like providing the recording session and so on. And you clearly informed like how will be the PMP certification? How many hours of dedication is needed and you also guided us how we can proceed. So every day you spend like 40 minutes, it will be enough like that. You spend morning 40 minutes, evening 40 minutes, you can continue like that. But yeah, I mean I completed the training at the month of December, but I got the certification in July. That's because after finishing the training I got fully involved in my projects. I got busy. So the first Jan and February I could not do anything because. Because other than my project and then with the family. So I could not spend much time. So then I was like it keep on running in my mind in the background. We did the PMP training. It was very good. And it was like every day when you finish the class or in between also you used to say and used to show the success stories of others and this is how the people have succeeded. So I thought that day, okay, I should also be one of the person giving that success. Yeah. So. And it came true now. And yeah, it's all because of your guidance. And every time like. And one day I called you, remember in the month of June I asked you because that time I. I was like determined to finish this certification. Then I thought like I took one week of leave and then started preparing and I called you sir, I'm taking a day off for one week and I'm going to prepare. And you said no sir, it cannot be done in one week. You need some hours of practice. Then I realized okay, it's not like crashing, you cannot do and you need a much of dedication. And then every day I. I went through the training material and the recordings and then attended the test in the IC league. It was really good. And yeah, and yeah, I mean whenever I used to show my progress, this is what I achieved to the nail. You also give me a very positive feedback. Okay, you're doing good, keep ahead and keep the same pace and so on. So it kind of motivated like even after finishing the training you're not like just abruptly left us. You were like coaching us and mentoring us towards the certification. It was really good sir. Thank you for that. And yeah, I then I followed your instructions literally. And then I applied to the application online and followed your instruction even before sending the application. I sent the screenshot to you and got your feedback and then proceeded for the application. And I thought like I could also pay the certification fee. I mean examination fee. Sorry. Then you said like hold on, okay, please finish all this test. Then I will say okay whether to proceed or not. Then yeah, I took that gold back one certificate in one mock test. And then you said okay, it's good you can say go and proceed and next day you can get the certification. Like that you said. But I was not that confident. But your words really are. It was true. So then I applied. I mean I paid the fees and then yeah, I cracked it. Yes, thanks for that. And even the day when I the exam day. So my exam was scheduled at 11:11am I was there at 10:00am much earlier. And unfortunately that day in the PSN we knew it was like there is some issue in the Internet so they could not allow me to write the test take up the test at 11am So I was like after seeing the time I got and panic. So I went and went and asked sir, it's already 11am Will this time will be deducted in my. So they said no, no, once you start the test then only it will continue. So I was like then okay, calm down. And then I was sitting there and that guy told me sir, it seems like some network issue in all over the India centers. So whether are you willing to take it? Reschedule the test. So then one thing came to my mind which you also were telling during the training. So finish it off at any cost. Okay, So I was telling so no, no, I was determined sir, today I will go out as a PMP certified. So I will wait I Will wait and finish it. Our time it takes. I'll wait and finish it. So that guy was also took then the technical glitch it solved by around 1am 1pm Sorry. And then they allowed me to get into and so it was always a nice experience and yes sir. Good. And after getting the application it was like a proud moment. Yeah. And thanks for that. Very good, very good.
And see that the knowledge whatever we transfer it to you and then the content, whatever you have given is it sufficient to take the exam? Yeah, yeah.
I mean it's more than enough that I feel because even I was going through the PMBOK 6th edition. Even though you're not suggested that to do but I just want to have a look inside and I. I went through the book once again but the. The practice what we did the mock test and iclib so that was like the test what I attended. It's all like similar pattern. Yeah. I would say in the same way and if you, if I if anybody who was practicing the PNP through Income career if they crack all the tests which you have that was actually really good. If they go through all the tests and then see where they made their mistake and if they go through I mean revisit the answers then I think it's more than enough as you said like no other profession is required. Very good. Yeah the training is good.

Yes. I mean I could. I mean easily understand the vocabulary now Initially I was like jargon even. Even I would have practiced that but the term would have been different for me. So now it's like. Yeah it's in a flow now like I can easily understand and I could sure.
So anything improvement which we supposed to do or any. Any suggestion for us to improvise further.
I think everything went well because it's not a classroom session for us. It's online basically. Yeah. But that also went very good and I don't see any glitches or anything because you covered all our questions and yeah it went well actually and you are really good sir compared to others. I really like your session basically because it's something somehow giving that connect actually with you. Okay. And yeah sure.
