Azeema Banu, a project manager with 11 years in IT, shares how she prepared for and passed the PMP certification exam. She walks through the study materials and training that helped her, and how the certification changed her career trajectory.
Thank you. I just wanted to start my you know intro with the thank you note to you. So thank you for all your support which you have given to me, you know from the beginning to end. So on my intro. So I'm I'm working as a project manager. I have like 11 years of experience in IT information technology. So I'm working in sensible software solution as a project manager. So so I had known a lot of. A lot of things in my mind to how to complete the pmp, how to start, where to start and where to end. So all these you know questions and everything has. Has an end. Like I put an end into this info career. So I was very much excited. Like I didn't know how how the training will go on and how what all the the materials you will be providing for the you know, for the preparation. So everything it started very well. Like all the you know educators, all the seminar, you know instructors were very good, very very knowledgeable. They gave me very good you know, practice. I mean the things, the material, the PPT and all was very much helpful for me. I started my course in September almost like five, four to five weeks I guess so even I have missed a few classes in between. But still I was able to cope up that classes by viewing this videos which you people provide video was more helpful for me more than your videos. Like you know you are the one who talking in that you are giving second the video. That was very helpful for me. Thank you so much for all your support and all your team. I really thank thankful for all your team. So it took me three, three months to prepare for the preparation. So every week I sit to just. I I didn't go through any other book jealous to be honest. I didn't do any. I didn't go through any other book any other content. I was just fully concentrated on the videos and the mock test which you have in the IC leaf website. So compared to that content and what I got in the exam was like, you know similar to it like all these situation. Everything was situational based. Even all the you know subjects which we have like for schedule or scope and all we have this intermediate advanced level. All these in intermediate advanced level has situation based question. Beginner level. It doesn't have situation but since it is also beginner level it will be basic only. So in intermediate and advanced I would say like all the situation it was similar to what I had got in exam. So not same questions was there but. But I was able to select the best answer. It gave me such knowledge Such thing to know select what is best and I was practiced very much with those exams like I was able to select the best answer from those intermediate and advanced level questions helped me a lot I would say like the content of. I mean referring from other book other content will definitely would have definitely confused me if I would have done that by God grace I didn't do that I was. I was into like you know. Cause will have that thing. No I was directly trusting you people. I was blindly trusting you people. So yeah I was a little bit nervous even though I was very confident with my you know all the things but I was little bit nervous at that time question started like most of the question was from resource management was in a communication and agile so it was easy for me since I was. I'm handling you know even since I'm having experience on that and and I had a great knowledge in this. You know in this course I was able to answer all the questions but still yeah I was able to manage to answer all the. I didn't leave a question empty but I answered every question each. Every question I answered. I think that's the one thing which I I have done good thing but I didn't believe any question so yeah I to be honest I cleared I. I attended all the questions at the end when I finished the exam once you have earned PMP I was like oh yeah finally I've done it after four months. Four months I have done it. It was like a very excited moment once I I just messaged that I have completed PMB law. Many people asked me asking me like how did you do exam? How what was the question you received? See even yesterday I got a call from girl called Sweta she asked me like how was the exam? How did you do? What are the questions you received? All those things she was asking me. So I would say like you know gaining PMP is a big deal actually for project managers who are looking to grow their career and grow their knowledge in who are serious to grow their career. It's. It's really an. You know a big deal for a project manager I would say so thank you so much you for doing that such social job is the project manager. Sure. So thank you again. Yeah.
