Alexander J. Johnson leads a no-equipment home workout with lunges, squats, mountain climbers, and push-ups. The routines run 10 to 30 minutes in cycles, designed to get your heart rate up fast without needing a gym.
Hello, it is Alexander J. Johnson. So today I want to show you a quick workout that you don't need to go to a gym. And you can do it in your living room, anywhere you want to do it. And it is anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes, depending on how many cycles of it that you do. So if you have 10 minutes, you can do this awesome, quick, fun workout. So one thing that I recommend is getting your favorite tunes and grooving with it. So we will do three exercises and you'll do them for 30 seconds each, and then you rest for 30 seconds. So the whole thing is phase one, phase two, and phase three is two minutes long. So you do two minutes, two minutes, two minutes. So it's literally a six minute workout if you, you want to only do it one time through. Or you can do it two times, three times, four times, five times, depending on your flow for the day. So to start, the first 30 seconds is lunges. So you bring your left leg forward, your knee down. You don't want your knee forward, you want it aligned, your knee aligned with your ankle. So balance here, then up. So you do that and then you switch and do it on the other side. Make sure you don't hold your breath so that then you move into squats. So legs out, feet out, hands to your heart, down and up. I like to inhale down, exhale up. 30 seconds, then you go down to the ground. For mountain climbers, so you get in the plank position. You can either step like this or an easy jog or a sprint. She makes that look easy. And then rest for 30 seconds. That is cycle one. So cycle two is this is the workout that I just did yesterday. So, you know, just so you know, then you're going to do standing right arm up, left arm making sure you're breathing. I like to do affirmations too. Like, I am strong. I am strong. So doing that 30 seconds, then we're going to go to Crazy Jacks. So like this. Out. Then switch. Make sure you're not holding your breath, breathing. Okay, so that's the second 32nd. And what's my third one? Oh, yeah. I had to bring down plank. So you come to plank. Balance on your left leg, bring your right leg up, keep your hips even, hold for like five seconds, and then switch. And switch. And switch. So that is cycle two. Make sure when you're in plank, you pull your belly button in. Don't let it all hang out. Pull it tight. Spine straight. I'm getting out of breath. Okay. Psycho three is I'm forgetting you're going to have to hold on while I cheat. Okay, here we go. Standing abs. What I like to do is as you come up, exhale out your mouth gets all the stale air out and just things flow and it feels really good. So that for 30 seconds, then you come down to push ups. Either you can go regular, challenging for me upper body strength to do regular and keep my alignment. So I do remove my knees. So you do that for 30 seconds and the last exercise is probably the best overall exercise that you can do for your full body. It's really challenging and it's awesome. So I'm going to show you the basic and then I'm going to show you the advanced. So the basic is reaching up, coming down, right leg back, left leg back, up, up, right leg up, left leg up, inhale up and then down. So the advanced is jumping up, coming up. That's it. Start for 30 seconds and then rest. So those are all the exercises. You can do it really quickly and get your heart rate up and get strong and all goddess y. So I'm going to take a little rest because I am tired and I hope you enjoy the workout. Let me know if you have any other questions and I will see you soon.
