Hello, Alexandra here. Hope you're having an awesome day. So today's video is cultivating joy to get more done. And this goes on from my video from yesterday of talking about doing things that give you joy and why are you not doing them? And really, that was a message for myself. I just figured that there's a lot of people out there and women who especially. And especially mothers who have things that give them joy that they aren't doing. So I figured, hey, I'm just gonna do a video on it, because I'm sure there's other women that it will help as well. So this is the same. That's what all my videos are, things that I am usually working through that I feel I'm not. I feel like I'm not alone, that there's other women and mothers that are having these challenges and just potentially helping myself and potentially helping others just have a new perspective. So this is an idea that I keep coming back to again and again. Cultivating the joy helps me get things done. And I have to remind myself this often because in the daily motherhood, sometimes it can feel mundane, and mundane can feel boring and tedious. Yes, boring and tedious. So my mental shift and the thing that I'm consistently working on is changing the mundane into the magical. And so how can I make the mundane magical? And that's really just a perspective and a mindset. And part of this cultivating joy that I'm focusing on right now is creating that magic. And it doesn't require me to do anything major. I don't mean to, like, change my entire life or go on, like, some big trip or something. Sometimes I feel like I want to shake things up in a big way, and I'm not opposed to those. But right now, my focus isn't what are the little micro moments where I can create magic. So the little micro moments creating magic is the joy that I was talking about. So yesterday I had an awesome day. I felt really grateful and connected and joyful, and there was just little things that I did. I still did the same things that I normally do, but my energy, my vibration was different. And I noticed it impacted my kids, it impacted me. It impacted. And just these subtle shifts that we can make within ourselves changes the environment and the energy around, and it just makes life better. So this getting things done, I also realize that I get more done when I feel joyful. It sounds ridiculous to say, but sometimes. Sometimes I just don't feel like doing some of this stuff, you know, like the motherhood stuff. And I Just don't feel like it. But when I cultivate this joy, I feel, I feel like it more. I took the kids to the park, I was more playful, I was more engaged. We danced and I got a lot more done too creatively. I got more done, more self care. It was astonishing what I got done actually yesterday by cultivating these joy. This joy. So the invitation today is to experiment. Notice when you do the little things that give you joy. Little 5 to 10 minute, 30 minutes, hour, whatever it is that gives you joy. And don't judge it because sometimes I judge, oh, I shouldn't do that. I should do this. Da da da. Do what makes you feel happy and alive and kind of like goosebumpy, whatever that is for you, you do that. And notice if you feel an elevation in your energy and your joy level. And if you do that is what you want to focus on. So do that and then notice if you get more done and notice how you feel and notice the people around you because you impact who you are, impacts your environment and your little people and your big people. And it makes such a difference and it takes work and commitment to do. I get it, I get it, totally get it. But it is so worth it. So this is a reminder to myself, stay on the path, stay on the path, keep rocking it. And the little things make such a big difference. So that is the video for today. Cultivate more joy and get more things done, because you will. Like I said, this morning I woke up and I felt amazing because I had cultivated joy yesterday. I had little pockets of joy throughout the day and I just was like, ah, yes, I'm ready to tackle the day. Let's do this. And then I just started cleaning and it wasn't like, oh, I need to clean. But I was like picking things up and it felt fun and we were listening to music and I just, this is just a reminder, make things more fun. We can turn motherhood, the mundane into the magical with just the mindset shift. And I think a lot of cultural beliefs and beliefs and thought patterns that are just out there of like what motherhood is and the, oh, it's gotta be this and you know, the kids are loud and this and there's a mess and la la la la. There's just a lot of drama I find around family and motherhood. And I'm not saying it's not challenging. I have. This has been by far the most challenging thing in my probably entire life of being a mother and mothering in the way that I want a mother, but it doesn't need to be so hard. It just doesn't. So I feel like a big part of my personal. My personal mission is to create more magic, and cultivating joy is where I'm starting. All right, so I'd love to hear what your joy is. I'd love to hear if you experiment and notice a difference, if you get more done when you cultivate joy. And as always, sending you lots of love and gratitude. Thanks for watching and have an amazing day.
