Hey there, it's Alexandra. I hope you're having a great day. So today's video is Daring Greatly with baby steps. And this is a topic and a video that I need for myself, so I thought that it would benefit some of you as well. So have you ever noticed that you get really excited about something? Maybe you start something or you stop or maybe you think that you can't do it, but then you get excited that you want to do it, and then you start and then you stop and then, yeah, you know what I'm talking about. That's kind of the creative process for a lot of our dreams that feel really meaningful for us. And I love Brene Brown's book, Daring Greatly. And I think it's so powerful for us to dare greatly and be willing to be vulnerable and be willing to go for our creative dreams and to say, this is important for me and I'm going to do what it takes to actually make this happen. And I think Daring Greatly means different things for all of us. You know, I have so many different areas in my life where I want to dare greatly, and I just feel like there's more to experience and there's more to express anywhere from my family to my health to my goddess work to my relationship with my husband. Like, there's just so much creativity and juice that's inside me that wants to be it expressed. So for me, Daring Greatly just means me being in attunement with my soul's desire and being authentic with how I want to live my life and showing up authentically and rocking it. So the reason for this video is I realized that I wanted to dare greatly, and I was on the sidelines. I had these ideas and I want to do this, I want to do that, and, oh, I can't because I have this excuse or that excuse, and I have these rationalizations that are actually, you know, they're believable, but they weren't leaving me feeling empowered. So I just kind of snapped out of it. And what helped me snap out of it was getting clear that these things were important for me and then to take baby steps because I can tend to. And again, I know I'm not alone in this, but I can tend to overthink things and want to plan visions of a lifetime and have it all figured out before I actually do this and that. And life doesn't actually work like that. We just have to take a baby step. So that's what I did. I took a little baby step and a little baby step and a Little baby step. And before I knew it, I was feeling, feeling jazzed again and back in creating and daring greatly. And it doesn't take a lot. We just have to get the momentum going and flowing. And once it's going and flowing that we are, we're off the bleachers. I think because we like this can happen. And it's subtle. Sometimes we're in the bleachers and we're watching down on the field and we're like, oh yeah, that's cool. I could do that. Yeah, I want to do that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's for me. Yeah, that's awesome. I would like to do that. And at the same time we stay in the bleachers and we think just because we say that we want to do it that we're actually taking steps to following our dreams. But we're not. We're just chilling in Denyville up in the bleachers. And there's a part of us that's comfortable there. Like do we really want to get on the field? Do you really want to get. Go down the bleachers and get in the field and maybe get beat up a little bit and get all sweaty? Potentially lose, fail? Like do we really want to do that? That's our inner critic keeping us up there in the bleachers. And we all have it and I get it. We all want to feel safe. And I've come up this many, many times throughout my life of wanting to stay comfortable and in my comfort zone and feeling safe and not wanting to risk myself and not being willing to vulnerable. But that is not living fully. That is not giving your gifts. And I know you got some major gifts. So we gotta get down there. We gotta get down there, we gotta pass, we gotta dribble, we gotta shoot, we gotta get sweaty, we gotta make mistakes and we just have to be in the game. If you're in the game making baby steps, you're gonna rock it. I promise you. We're in 2015. Let's say you have this dream. You take a baby step today, you take a baby step tomorrow. Every day for the rest of the year, you take a baby step towards that creative dream. You're going to be unstoppable because you are going to be in the flow and you are going to be taking responsibility for your creative dreams. You can't help but be successful. And maybe you won't be successful in the way that you think, but you will be flippin alive. And that's what it's all about. So what else Do I want to say about this? Judgment. Criticism. Yeah, criticism and judgment of ourselves and what other people are going to think. We have to just dim those little voices down and turn up our creativity voices and our self love voices. And our job is not to criticize and to judge. Our job is to create. Our job is to give our gifts fully and release the outcome. Just be who we are and just create what we want to create. Because whatever's in your heart, I promise you it's yours to do. Bottom line, it's yours to do. It doesn't matter what anybody says, it is yours to do. So do it. What else? Oh yeah, you might be thinking, yeah, I'm not ready. Maybe I'll start it next month. Maybe next year, probably is a better year. Now it's now. Get in the game. Stop waiting to be ready. And the thing is, if you're not ready and you jump in the game, you take a leap, you're gonna get ready. You have no choice because you're in the game and you're like, oh shoot, I need to figure this out. So you'll figure it out. So get comfortable with being uncomfortable and taking the leaps and you'll figure it out. You're resourceful, you're resilient, you will figure it out. And yeah, you're gonna screw up and you're gonna not feel ready and competent and that's just part of it. So embrace the whole creative process and just rock it. So that's the idea for today. Darren greatly with baby steps. The call to action is to get clear about one of your creative goals and take a baby step today. Today, like take a baby step after this video. I dare you, I dare you to get the ball going, see what flows. Alright, I gotta go. I got to take my baby step for today. And what my baby step is to work on my new rock your goddess life when sight. All right, I'm out. Rock it until next time.
