Alexander J. Johnson argues that stepping away from the internet helps you reconnect with yourself, especially for women who need to protect their energy and well-being. He shares personal reflections on why unplugging matters for self-care.
Hey, everyone, it is Alexander J. Johnson. Drinking some green juice. I hope you're having an awesome day. And today I want to talk about detox in a whole new way. And the detox is Internet detoxing. So I just took Saturday and Sunday off of the Internet, and today is Monday, and it felt fantastic. You know, Saturday I woke up and I just had a really expansive and spacious and delicious weekend of not being on the Internet and just really limited computer time. And I think it's really, really important that we take time to unplug and plug into our highest goddess self. I think it's really. Especially for women with. We just don't have. We're not built. Our bodies are not built to be able to work like men do. So we need to take that time to relax and chillax and be unplug and do goddess things. You know, like dancing and journaling and walking and cooking and all of that good stuff. So that is what I did this weekend, and it was brilliant. It was really, really amazing. And every single time that I take some time away from the Internet and I plug in and I do some reflection and just really tapping into my goddess energy with more meditation and, you know, all of that stuff, I feel so, so much more me. And the sparkly goddess energy is rejuvenated and revived, and it's pretty awesome. So I just know that once I'm starting to feel a little bit drained or anything that I know that I need to build in habits of taking time away from the Internet. And I'm all about the Internet. I love the Internet. And it's really important to have breaks from it, you know, not having so much space stimulation all the time. So I recommend that you play with it, see how it flows for you, and notice if you start feeling for me, I can start feeling contracted and just like really narrow focused, and I lose a sense of me and I don't connect to my body when I'm on the computer. So it's really important to take time away throughout the day and then also just taking, you know, days off. So my current, current Internet plan is Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I check email. Those are kind of my days for being on the Internet. And Tuesday and Thursday, I just check in for 30 minutes and upload a video or, you know, check email really quickly. And then Saturday and Sunday is completely off. So that is my Internet flow. And it feels really, really good and right for me. It may not be right for everyone. You know, depending on where they are, they may get tons more out of the Internet and love to be on it all the time. But I just know for me, and I know for a lot of women, it's important to, you know, disconnect and connect to your most goddess, divinely delicious, authentic self. So that's it for today. Quick and short, and very important for you to nurture and honor your goddess energy and your own unique and rhythm and trust your process. You know, whatever feels right for you. But I suggest that you check in with your Internet time and see if you can limit it or shift it or change it and plug more into things that really, really, really light you up and give you energy and get you in your body. It's really important for us to get in our bodies. That is where our divine wisdom is. So that's all. Have a great, great day and I will see you soon.
