Morning Creativity Practice

This is a YouTube video titled "Morning Creativity Practice" created on October 5, 2011, featuring Alexandra Johnson sharing her personal approach to establishing a morning routine focused on creativity. She discusses inspiration from Eric Meisel's course and emphasizes prioritizing creative work early in the day to enhance productivity and fulfillment.
Hi everyone, it's Alexandra. So I have a little idea that I'd like to share with you today, and it's about creating a creativity morning practice. And I was reintroduced to this idea by Eric Meisel. Eric's teaching a course at the Entheos Academy for Optimal Living. And his course is called Living youg Best Life in the Arts. And his first class, or the first call, was this week. And he's just a master at creativity and just getting things done and getting your work out there and sharing your gifts and your talents with the world. So love him and love this class so far. It was very inspiring. And he talked about creating a morning creativity practice so that you wake up every morning and you create a discipline, or blissipline as I like to call it, that you work on your creativity, whatever it is, working on your book, writing a book, a business plan, working on a song, maybe a painting, whatever is your creative work, whatever is your gift that you'd like to share with the world. So you give yourself time every morning to get your best work out. Because so many times at the end of the day, you know, or you start your day and like, oh, I'll get my work in. I'll work on that book later this afternoon, or let me check these emails, or da, da, da. And by the end of the day you're like, oh, I didn't work on my book and I'm actually tired and then the book never gets done. So I love this idea and I love it so much that I wanted to share the video because I actually had one of those days where I didn't really set the intention that I was going to work on my creativity. And now it's almost 4:30 and I didn't get a whole lot of creative work done. So Eric Meisel's wisdom popped into my head and I thought, you know what? I'm gonna start it up again tomorrow. I am going to get on my creative morning creativity practice and focus on my creativity first thing in the morning after meditation, which I do every single day. So my creativity ritual is going to be meditation first thing when I wake up, then journaling, then working on a program that I'm working on called Supercharge youe Life all about optimizing your health. So I'm very excited about that. And that is what I'm going to be working on this week. So I thought it'd be beneficial because I know for a lot of creative people and people as I've been talking about recently in these videos following your creative dreams. Sometimes our creative stuff just doesn't get done. So setting that time, especially in the morning when you're fresh and you're inspired and you're ready to rock and roll, you know, getting your best ideas, your best work out in the morning. And then, you know, once we do our creativity work, there's like an energy and there's a vitality flowing through us that whatever happens throughout the rest of the day is pretty much okay, because we've done our soul's work, we've done what we feel we're here to do, and really put time into giving our talents and our gifts to the world. And we didn't, you know, waste our day on email or little things that aren't important. So put your creativity as a top priority and getting it done first thing in the morning. So I thought I'd share that with you. I hope that you enjoy this idea and I hope that you add some creativity morning practice into your daily life. And I hope you have a wonderful day. Until next time.
