Opening & Softening Your Heart

Alexandra Johnson guides a meditation to soften your heart and connect mind, body, and emotion. The practice helps you open up emotionally and feel more connected to yourself and others.
Hi, everyone. It's Alexandra. Hope you're having a great day. We have a special guest today, Zeus. Say hi. What's a little dog, Zeus? So today's video is on. Opening and softening your heart. And yesterday I was feeling impatient and kind of rigid and just a little irritated. And I had my dear friend Eloise. She's been like my colon therapist, my spiritual counselor, healer, just so many different things for me over the last 15 years. She would always say to me, if I was in that state, I'd walk into her office or something, and she would be like, what's going on, pup? She's. I'd be like, what are you talking about? She's like, relax and soften your eyes. Drop into your heart. She's like, I can tell you're just. You're thinking and you're just. You're in your head, and I need you to drop into my. Into your heart. And almost every time that she would say that and I would do that, I would feel emotional because I was usually trying to figure something out or just a little stressed about something. And just the fact of just the act of dropping into my heart usually would bring tears to my eyes and to be like, okay, what's going on? You know? And she's just amazing. So this. And I practiced that yesterday when I was feeling irritated and impatient and very much in my head thinking about some things. And I thought it would be a little bird singing to us. I thought it would be helpful for us to do together. So we'll do a little meditation together. And this is something that you can just do when you notice yourself getting rigid and too much in your head and thinking and trying to plan and organize and not connected to your heart. So dropping from your head down into your body and into your heart. So we'll do a little mini blissitation. Close your eyes, focus on your breath, and just relaxing your eyes, relaxing your whole head, your jaw. And then dropping the energy down into your heart. Actually feeling the energy drop from your head down into your heart. Putting your hand or hands on your heart, if that helps. Just imagine softening your heart. Space resting in your heart. Imagine your heart softening and expanding. Your whole body getting lighter, brighter, and more open. Inviting your mind, body, and heart to integrate. Resting, Softening, opening. Take one more deep inhale, and as you exhale, silently say, love, smile, and gently open your eyes. All right. I hope that was helpful for you and that's helpful for you in the future and a good reminder for all of us to integrate our mind, body and heart. And to soften our gaze, soften our hearts. Drop into our hearts. So that we can live from our hearts and live from a place of open heartedness and being connected to ourself, to our body. So that we can live with more love, joy and connection. All right. Sending you lots of love and blessings.
