Update & Heroic App & Having more fun! 🤩

Alexandra Johnson shares updates on her new company Heroic and its upcoming app launch, her move to the countryside near Austin, and plans to create more video content. She reflects on motherhood, creativity, and finding better life balance.
Hi, everyone. It's Alexandra. Hope you're having an amazing day. So it's been a while since I've done a video. It's actually been over a year since I've done a video, and I've been thinking about doing these videos for a while. I have been doing videos and interviews for our Optimized coach program. So I've been doing the videos, but, like, these videos of just me sharing and just connecting with all of you. It's really fun and nourishing for me. So it's been in my mind of, like, okay, I'm gonna start again. I'm gonna start again. But as many of you know, and especially moms, like, there just is a whole bunch of stuff to get done, and a lot of times, kind of our creative projects can be pushed aside. And I was actually running yesterday and listening to the score, which, if you don't know the score, they're an amazing band. And I was. They are actually. Side note, since my last video, we started a new company, and it's called Heroic. I will put the link in here, but we're doing a. Creating an app called Heroic. And the launch party is in Austin in April of 2022, so. And the Score is coming to perform. So we're having, like, a rock concert. It's gonna be amazing. So I love the score. It's on my, like, dancing, my dancing playlist, my running playlist. It's just really inspiring. Like, just, like, pump you up music. And I was listening to the song Revolution, and as I was running, there was just this feeling that I was like, I just need to start doing the videos. Just start doing them. It's not that big of a deal. And this, like, just the lyrics in the song were just, like, really? I felt a little emotional about it. And so one, that was. That's, like, part one. The part two is feeling into having more fun. I have an amazing life. I've been crafting this life for, like, 20 years. And for those of you that don't know, most of you probably do. But we moved from California to out in the country outside of Austin probably a year and a half ago now. And it's amazing. I love so many things about where we are, and my kids are 9 and 5. So I was laughing the other day thinking about this, that I've kind of been in this nine and a half, I guess now I've been in this journey for, like, nine and a half years, motherhood. And there's supposed to be this idea of, like, deliberate practice for 10 years and you'll gain mastery. And I don't quite feel like I have motherhood mastered. But again, I digress. Not really digress, because the motherhood thing I've been feeling into with. There's always so many things to do with motherhood, right? So you have the. The kids and what they need and we home educate, They've never gone to school and there's the house and work, right? And I have been contemplating this. Like, I live a really epic, amazing, meaningful, purposeful life. And I'm so grateful and have so many moments of joy and gratitude and appreciation and love and connection throughout my days. Like, there is that and there has been this, like, feeling of not enjoying it as much as I could and not having as much fun with it. Like, there's just the running to dos and this needs to get done. And that feels good to a point to accomplish things and to be in the flow in that way, but just the sheer joy of just the simple things of really enjoying them and savoring them and feeling that gratitude and that love and that appreciation and fun. So I don't know how these videos are gonna go, but I just decided that I'm gonna start doing them. I don't know how regularly I'm going to do them either. That will all unfold. But I do know that I am excited about them because as I look to have more fun, top on my list is creating videos like this. Because it's just fun. It feels good, it's fun. It's a way that I can share what I'm thinking, create, connect with you. I love to hear your thoughts on what I'm thinking. It's just like a fun thing for me. So that is my intention to one, have more fun, to share and connect with you. And then also I'd love to hear where you are in your life, what's going on. Do you feel that with motherhood or just life? Because it's all of us. Like, there's this sense of life is so busy and there's so much to do. And I really feel like I'm gonna make a shift on that even more than I already. I'm already really simple and really intentional with how I invest my time and my energy. But I feel like there's more of simplicity to happen so that more fun and joy and magic and creativity can bubble up. And I'm excited. So I'd love to hear if you are having fun, if you want to have more fun ways that you like to have fun Are you doing them? Are you not doing them? What's stops you from not having the fun that you want to have? And we'll just kind of open up the dialogue and we'll see where it all evolves. But I will share kind of what I'm thinking, what I'm studying, what I'm trying to embody in my life as a woman, as a wife, as a mother, just to enjoy the journey even more and to have more fun. Which does include dancing and running, which is why I did that. So that's why I was running the other day, because I'm like, I need to like, get in my body. That's fun for me too. I haven't been training as much as I would like or dancing. And it's just those little things of like. I used to call them happies in Rock youk Goddess Life. The happies or the goddess adventures that just infuse you with a little more pleasure and play and juiciness. So that's what we're going for. I hope you're doing great. I'm sending you lots of love and looking forward to connecting with you more soon.
