Testimonial | George and Patrick, Co-Founders of Rightdevice, Inc | The Boss Capital Partners

George and Patrick, co-founders of health-tech startup RightDevice, credit the BOSS System with giving them direction as first-time founders. The program forced them to define their ideal customer, buyer, and user profiles upfront, then map them in a spreadsheet to envision who would buy the company. It reshaped their strategy and helped them answer tough questions.

Hey everybody, I'm George.
And I'm Patrick.
And we are the co-founders of RightDevice. RightDevice essentially is an online platform to help patients understand their options when it comes to surgery.
Born and raised in San Diego, George and I are both first-time founders. And as first-time founders, in building our company, we looked everywhere we could for additional resources to help us on every step of the way. We looked at numerous amounts of different accelerators, incubators, investment programs, all the above.
And so that's essentially what we were looking for. You know, we didn't really know what we were doing and we needed to find people who did. And so we were searching for mentors. And I reached out to Greg Shepard on LinkedIn. I was like, honestly, a cold reach out, a cold message. And lo and behold, he got back to me. And that's kind of where our relationship started. It was strictly through a LinkedIn message, then it turned into a meeting after meeting. Patrick got involved. And we started learning about what this BOSS System is all about.
The BOSS System is unlike any other system that we encountered. It is vastly unique in the sense where it really forces us to think about— we have to begin with the end in mind. Unlike any other program, it forced us to take a step back from what we were doing in our day-to-day and ask ourselves one simple question: why are we doing it and who are we doing it for? We had to think about who are our ideal customer profiles, who are our ideal buyer profiles, who is our ideal user profile, Rework all of this, put it down on paper, visualize it, and then build for what we were building for in the future.
And that's what we did. We started with a simple spreadsheet, started figuring out who exactly is going to buy our product, who exactly is going to use our product, and then ultimately, who's going to buy our company. And that's simply what the BOSS System is, that is what the North Star is. And without that, Patrick and I were just running around in circles. And it's really unique when you interact with a system, That really has almost like a formula in place, and that's the reason what Patrick and I got attracted to it the most. It's a formula that works.
The Boss System, again, it's not just theory. This is not someone's idea. They're not just telling you, hey, go and try this, go and do this. It is a program that has an outlined formula, that it has a step-by-step approach that allows you to fundamentally think about every single action that you are taking with your business. The BOSS System has fundamentally changed the way that George and I approach our business. It has developed us rapidly as first-time founders. It has changed the way that we think about tough problems, and it has really empowered us to answer some of the most difficult questions, not only about ourselves, but also about our company and its users.
The BOSS System really forces entrepreneurs to ask themselves the toughest questions, questions that you're not necessarily wanting to answer. And that's the reason why Patrick and I chose the BOSS System. And if you're on the fence and wanting to find a system or find an algorithm that works best for your company, I highly recommend taking a look at the BOSS System with Gregory Shepard.
