Hey guys, Thanksgiving season is upon us again. So I always like to give a couple tips and tricks. First of all, all bets are off on Thanksgiving. Do what you want, you get a day of the year off to just go nuts. But my general rule of thumb for the holidays is just remember, you know, our bodies are a temple and don't let the thieves into the temple. So many of these Christmas parties that we go to and holiday parties that we go to, you get there. There's just a massive hors d' oeuvre tray of high fructose corn syrup sweets. Desserts, don't make those the first thing you eat. Make them the last thing that you eat. Opt for high protein things. If you see meat, fish, chicken, eggs, avocados, sliced meats, even cheeses, those are much better go tos. They're more nutrient dense, they have a lot more caloric density, so they'll satiate you a lot faster and help you get through that holiday party without hammering. The alcohol and the sweets, those two in combination are absolutely deadly. Besides, eating your desserts last is also to hydrate. Get to these parties and make it the first thing that you do is to down an entire 16 ounce bottle of water. Actually put a lot of fluids into the body first. A lot of times that will start your satiation and make you not so hungry and not have the sweet cravings. Every time that I get sweet cravings, especially when I'm in the presence of a lot of sweets, the first thing I'll do is just have 6, 8, 10, 12 ounces of water. And that usually makes the sweet craving go away. So a couple of tips that you can use during the holidays.
