How To Attract A Great Partner And Keep Them Interested

Heather Lyn explains how to establish personal value and standards that keep a partner interested long-term. She covers self-worth, relational skills, and why settling undermines attraction and respect in relationships.
Hello and welcome to our Facebook page. Prescript. This is not Facebook. I am struggling today. Big. All right, so this is Heather with Prescriptive Living. Today we're going to talk about something that's really important. Okay. This is how in part, people get to be part of the 12% who rock the relational union. Prescriptive Living. We give tips, tools and resources to help people fail proof their life in love. And we have two courses, a Fail Proof your life course, Fail Proof youf Love course, that really map out those components. And so the goal is right when most people are coming into relationship, a lot of the initial phases is, is there attraction? Are we having fun? Do we want some of the same things in life? And those are all very, very important aspects. And they help and can carry people in the initial honeymoon phase, right? To keep people kind of excited, moving together. But what happens is after that phase is gone, a lot of times partners end up starting to lose interest in one another, lose respect for one another, lose intrigue in one another. And when this happens, there are usually a couple reasons why. Okay? One of the most important things is that when a person starts to establish their significance in a factor that is outside external factor. So it could be in a career, could be in a relationship, could be in a position of possessions, things like that, their value, they're allowing to be defined by external circumstances that are not real factors that establish significance and value and worth of an individual person. And so those areas, if that's where the focus is, can be extremely damaging in partnership because it's externals defining substance, value, worth, the way that you prevent against people. If you're recognizing and you're connecting with that, it's good to have this awareness. Awareness alone has the power to be curative. But to know what to do when we can establish our standard and our desires and vibrance and be the one who establishes our value in this world, it is tremendous. We all have tremendous worth and value. We are the ones that get to direct and maintain that standard. And when we maintain that standard, it is attractive. Other people want to be part of that. First of all, we're feeling more fulfilled. We know our voice, we know our vibrance. We're living it out. We. We're kind of directing our course. We're not allowing all this other stuff to be what is establishing it. Because those things are superficial. They're not the substance. Everyone has tremendous substance. But what everybody desires, what everybody wants, what excites and fulfills each person is very, very unique. So when you get to define that you no longer have to go on a date going, oh, I hope they like me. You get to go in going, this is what I'm about. This is great. This is what I'm looking for. Do you meet my standards? Do you have what it takes to be part of that? You flip the script and you do this in job interviews, you do this in relationship, you do this in life. That gives you the ability to live to your potential and to keep yourself attracted other people attracted to you. Because the two things that start to cause people to separate are when they lose desire and they lose respect. And these are one of the key ways that happens. When it's the superficial stuff that is defining the substance rather than the individual. Staying interesting, staying true to themselves, staying clear to their standards, becomes of utmost importance. The other factor is really being able to align on things that ultimately matter besides the initial chemistry. So a lot of times even. Even one of my favorite gurus, who is, you know, worth billions of dollars and does great teaching on love and life and business and all this stuff, he always says that you need to have compatibility on values and what you want. As far as lifestyle, those two things are good. But if you don't have skills and awareness in your conflict and what makes you bad and how you respond and react and all of these things, those two things are not enough. I can tell you from my marriage, I went into a marriage where we aligned, literally did not have skill, we did not. Neither one of us had firmly established our value and worth. Neither one of us, and it was fine. But we were roommates, we were a part of that. 80% who had settled weren't connected. We were just existing. And. And Harvard did the longest study on wellbeing ever done, showing that if two people are. The quality of their most intimate relationships impacts their journey, experiential journey through life more than any other factor. It's super important, right? So these are the areas we don't want to leave to chance. We want to actually have a little bit of clarity and awareness to line on. It's not. The majors are not like political affiliation, although you may have some struggle with some of this stuff. These are not the things we define our majors on. Whatever you have on your list for what you're looking for in a partner, if it's all the superficial stuff and it's not the substance stuff, chances are if you don't get the skills for the stuff of substance that you know you're setting, you're likely setting yourself up to be part of the folks who are in that majority group who are settling and you know, more in that roommate situation, you've got to define and have the skills and the standards for the things that will work, right? The things that map it out. So we do give awareness to those in our course so that you can attract quality and you get to be the one who sets that standard. The power becomes your own because you find your voice, you find your vibrance, you find what matters to you and you're clear on it. So nobody else gets to define it. You know, going through life and just letting life happen at you, it can be fine in a lot of areas, right? You don't have to be super intentional about a lot of things. Like I'm cheap, right? So I go to the dollar store to buy my bags, my potty poop bags, right. I know this is gross, but here's what happens. The bottom is not sealed in it, so it's a mess, right? I have to actually tie it so that I, I don't get whatever. That's the cost of being cheap and making decisions like that on things that can matter. But when we're making decisions without having a standard, a clear standard and clarity and skill on things that ultimately are most fragile organ in our heart, the consequences of that are significant. And so you really want to to focus on the right outcomes to get the right results. And that is what we equip people to do. We're doing Fail Proof youf Love course on Sunday. A week from Sunday week up from Mother's Day. We've created a really meaty workbook to go with the course and that's why it's getting delayed. And then the following Sunday we're doing the Fail Proof youf Life course. So Fail Proof youf Life gives you the ability to define your standards, your, your worth, your essence so that you can go in and not be allowing outside areas to impact your value. You will be going into this world knowing what is what you need and you set the standard. And then the love course is just awareness to align and to have the skills for relational long term success. Okay, so these are must haves to be part of the 12%. If people have these areas already established, they're setting themselves up and they're going to get there. And that's awesome and I'm so excited for you. If you don't have it, you may want to check out these courses and they are guaranteed and they allow you to take your life and your love and stack the odds in your favor for success. We go preventative maintenance against all this stuff that sends people into that settling state and sends people into a downward spiral. We give you the awareness, the tools and the skills to rock it. And we are going to make if anyone joins either one of those courses and wants to do the other one, they'll get the other one half off. So just to reward you for making an investment in your life and love. Alright, so that is all. Cheers to living and loving. Well for signing off. Great. Great to see you. See you all next week. Bye.
