Terriene Walsh, host of Your Badass Journey since 2018, announces she's retiring the podcast format. She reflects on the show's journey and hints at a new seasonal series coming next, encouraging listeners to stay connected through the transition.
How can I show up in it all for you, but also be authentic and clear with myself on what that looks like and leverage all that I've learned over these years to do it in a way that feels somewhat effortless, but also highly, highly connected. This is your Badass Journey podcast. I am Terriene Walsh, serial entrepreneur, growth strategist, executive leadership coach and bestselling author. Each week I will bring you a guest or thought that will help you align what you love with what you do in order to build that badass life and business you dream of. Hey there, listeners. Welcome to today's episode. It is one of transition and transformation. And so as I share some news with you today, I first want to thank you. Thank you so much for listening, for being part of my ecosystem as I launched your Badass Journey in 2018 and what it has become to date and all the amazing conversations and aha moments and points of reflection that I've had on the show, it has been a journey. And I've decided, you know, based on our, the last two episodes where I talked about identity crisis and I talked about exit strategy, I did the work myself on where I stand in it all. and where I'm trying to go and decided that it's time to retire your Badass Journey podcast and allow some space for launching something new. Now, what does that mean? Because I know I want you to feel cared for as I go through this transition as I care for myself. and also to show you that it is possible to have a graceful exit and make sure you're still taking care of your clients and your community and yourself in the process. So in the reflection of my own personal identity in up-leveling and what I planned to move into next, I kept feeling this voice, the center voice, that's kind of almost like a nagging that was like, Karine, you need to put a pause on the things that are feeling somewhat half baked, meaning to me, and this is how I describe half baked, is I haven't been strategic enough in leveraging this time with you and making sure that you are taken care of as much as I'm being taken care of as I present these interviews, concepts, theories, methods, ways for you to really stand in alignment of who you are in all that you do. I needed to really make sure that we're getting more strategic about that. And the reasoning that that kept coming up for me is that as I'm evolving into what's next and the conversations I want to be having and the way at which I see people consuming information in an applicable way, I really want to move into more of a series or seasonal structure of podcasting with you all. Because I feel like if I could do that, not only am I standing in alignment with myself and how I want to be more directive and create containers for you to step into in regards to this new multifaceted arena I plan to play within, seasons seems to be the word that keeps coming up. Like, can I create a season of a series of conversations that align with what I'm moving into next? And so it's not that I'm not going to continue podcasting, it's and coming to your ears and for you to carry me around in your pocket. It's really about taking the pause and reintroducing this next level of who I am becoming and creating that arena for all of you to come and play with me in a clear way. So this is more of a retiring the initial launch of your Badass Journey podcast, which assistant: was really a method for me to connect with you in a way that I had not connected before, where you were able to hear a lot of who I am in my conversations with others and you learn from me as well as my guests and that you have exposure to new thought feelings and ways to connect with yourself so that you can be your best. And your badass journey was, was designed from my be a badass book. And it's crazy to me that all this time has passed. It's you know, 2018 was when I launched it all. And now we're in 2021 and things feel different. And so I need to up level and bring to you that this next version. So that's one thing where I was, you know, doing that assessment of how can I show up in it all for you, but also be authentic and clear with myself on what that looks like and leverage all that I've learned over these years to do it in a way that feels somewhat effortless, but also highly, highly connected. And that's the goal. So as I then moved into the exit strategy of, okay, Karine, you've now determined that what your badass journey was when you first initiated it, where it stands today, and all of its beautiful growth, It's time to graduate and it's time to build the next brand, the next platform, the next wave of communication with your audience, as well as all the new people you plan to draw in based on the new platform you're planning to launch. Now, I can't tell you too much about it. I did start teasing it a little bit. when we were talking about integrative ways of thinking is really this next level of how I plan to raise the bar in the platform of communication tactics and methods for you to leverage in order to align who you are and all that you do, because you are the center of it all. And I'm just a conduit to help you get there. Honestly, how I see myself. So as we exit, the most graceful exit for me is to close out the show with this episode of gratitude and with a desire for more. I would love for us to stay connected during this time of planning and strategizing how I plan the relaunch of the next show I plan to do, and also make sure that it is meeting your needs. So as you're listening to today's episode and you're thinking about all the different times we've connected through this medium and you've had your aha moments, your takeaways, something that you applied to your life and then messaged me about it, posted your review or even tagged me in your post on Insta or even just shot me an email because, I mean, I love all forms of connection. I just want to thank you for your time and sharing the gifted moments that we've had together with not only with others, but also seeing it as you stand in the life that you have built for yourself. And as you stood in building and launching your own business or made a big career move as you dug a little deeper into the relationships you want to have and the money mindset that you truly deserve. All those things. I'm just sitting here with so much gratitude and thanks for listening and supporting me on this. badass journey that I've been on to date and continuing to support me going forward. So what I ask of you today as we close things out, and if you happen to land on the podcast, and this is the first one you're listening to, the podcast itself will stay live and active and you can go back to your favorite episodes, re-listen or do a search. And I'm going to put up some playlists for those who want to listen on Spotify of the top episodes around each category in my integrative thinking so that you can benefit from all this amazing content, all these conversations, because they are all still relevant today. And make sure you subscribe to my email list so that you, you know, when I'm ready to launch that next podcast, that you can join me there. This is not something that normally happens where someone shuts down access to an audience in order to build what's next. A lot of fear and anxiety can come up when you're deciding to exit something. And I'll tell you that I'm currently sitting in a lot of openness, truly. I'm not afraid of shutting down this version of the show. And I feel like, like I said before, I've just graduated. And now it's time to really step into the next level so that you guys can grow me with me into that. And so as a thank you, I would love to know really from each of you who have been avid listeners. If you have a favorite show and or takeaway that you want to make sure I know about and elaborate on it in what comes out in the future platform, I would love to hear from you and know that so I can still take care of you and walk alongside you as you are continuing to grow and step into everything that's outlined for you on your badass journey.
