I need your help.
Okay. Speaking of food, whether it is for the beer or the hot dogs or the bathroom, racing fans, eventually a lot of the weekend waiting in lines.
Well, what if there was an easy way to find out where the lines were short so you could sort of divert around the long lines? Christine Kim may have found just the way to do that. She's live at the M Resort. Christine.
Do tell.
Hey, you guys are going to love this. So you've been there? I've been there. You want to get a cup of coffee? You're running late. You don't know if you should go to the one on this block or the other block. Well, there is something that's coming very soon that could help you with that, that could show you which ones will get you through the line faster, which one has the shortest line. And you know, fun fact here, an average person spends six months of his or her life waiting in line. Six months. Well, Chris here from Econnect may have found a solution for you that's already being tested at McCarran Airport. So tell us about this technology that was introduced just tonight.
Well, what we have here is a product called E Counter by E Connect here. And what it does is uses camera object analytics to monitor the people in line. And we count them with the camera technology. And what it does with our along with our point of sale integration allows you to tell a story about how long people are in line, how well the efficiencies of labor management are doing and all that. So if you look up at the screen, you're able to see how many people are currently in the queue. You're able to see the wait time. It's about less than two minutes. Labor statistics on how many registers open of how many are available. Revenue waiting is a forecast of how much money is actually waiting in line. So it gives you an idea as an operator how much money you're going to make. Peak hour, nine people at 8:24am was the peak number of people clocked in. And then revenue over the last hour. The interesting thing is the queue time that's up there, that's now less than one minute is going to be shared across different devices like digital signage, mobile applications, Internet applications, so that consumers can make better decisions when they go to an airport or they're at an amusement park or they're going into a Starbucks.
So right now we're taking a live look. This is in real time. The cameras from one of Those places at McCarran Airport, one of the businesses that is going through this testing phase.
Exactly. So what you're seeing is live. This is going to be deployed in 20 different cost centers throughout the airport. So in the very, very near future, you'll be able to access your mobile phone or digital signage to see exactly what wait times are. So if you wanted to get a sandwich at Subway or go get a Jimmy John sandwich, you can actually say, do I have enough time to get my sandwich and still get on my flight?
Yeah. That is amazing. And so you're saying that soon we may be able to have an app on our phone that shows you not the cameras, but the actual statistics that breaks it down. Long the line is which one is the shortest? If you go to McCarran Airport, which business you would like to go to. Another good example would be if you want to go to a buffet on the Las Vegas strip. We know those lines can get pretty long, so that would help make a decision on where to go and how long that line will be. Isn't that great? Reed and Marie, we love it.
And we will be clocking how fast it takes you to get through a Starbucks line from now on. Thank you, Christine. Well, knowing where.
