A short on-site YouTube interview (uploaded April 1, 2021) where SBA and local business speakers discuss how a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan enabled a Las Vegas company to retain employees, pivot product development (temperature checks, VIP access software), expand an affiliate hiring program, and assist other businesses. Speakers report the PPP helped about 30 employees at their company, they were capped at 150 on an EIDL application, and they hoped to reach roughly $2 million in funding to expand deployment to schools, government buildings, and other industries.

The loan enabled us to start accelerating our development on this.
And basically from the day we got.
Approved, we were able to start writing software that we knew. Our priority was to help the VIPs get the VIPs in and out, check temperature of everybody. And then our second priority was employees, because they go to these buildings the most frequently.
Yes.
And so I would say not only did the PPP help us with about 30 employees, but we turned around and helped hundreds of businesses who helped thousands of employees.
That's so critical to understand the impact of the ppp. The objectives were to retain employees, just as you stated. And the other was to retain wages and the other to sustain your bill, your company. Had you not been sustainable, then you wouldn't have been able to impact other businesses in Nevada.
That's phenomenal. Thank you very much.
Everything you're doing for Nevada and for the United States.
Thank you.
Thank you.
This is going to be viable because the vaccination, even if they discovered it yesterday or today or tomorrow, the availability of it is going to be pretty strained and the prioritization of it, and it'll take some time. And it's not just one inoculation, maybe two.
Right.
It just depends.
Right.
And so these type of systems are going to be very essential moving forward.
Right, Right.
Well, that's, you know, that's the success.
Story of the ppp, because we would.
Not be in this if we didn't have that.
You wouldn't have been able to pivot or adapt to that.
We would not.
What we would have had to do is probably lay off, you know, a significant portion of our team because all of our customers were closed.
Right, right.
And so this gave us something to work on. And then we weren't sure, like, is it two weeks?
Is it a month? Is it six months?
And it's actually been very popular. So we expanded the program to hire people who are out of work. So we have an affiliate program where?
Anywhere.
And that's how we're getting, you know, customers.
Outside of the hospitality, there was another round of ppp. How would that look for you? And what would you apply it? How would you apply it?
Well, thank you for asking that.
I would ask you if you could.
Review our EIDL application because we were capped at the 150.
We were hoping to be able to get closer to the 2 million. And we have a tremendous plan to.
Be able to employ more people, to get more of these devices out there.
Throughout different industries, schools, government buildings, any.
Place where people have to physically go. And so that would be the part of our expansion.
