A short YouTube monologue (speaker: Kyle Balmer) arguing that corporate bans on AI often create demand for external AI providers. Using a Reddit example, the speaker explains that heavily regulated companies with internal AI restrictions frequently outsource AI projects to consulting agencies to capture AI efficiencies without violating their policies—creating opportunities for AI experts and consultants.

Some companies are banning AI, which is actually a huge opportunity if you're an AI expert. Now that doesn't make sense. Let me explain. Here's an example just seen on Reddit, of somebody saying that their company has banned AI and there are strict policies about it being used at work. Therefore, that company has started to hire consulting agencies to do the AI projects for them. Basically, the regulatory policies here disallow the original company from using AI, but they can turn a blind eye to other companies using AI for them. They allows them to get the efficiencies of AI without breaking their policies. Yeah, it's stupid, but a lot of large corporations have these kind of rules in place, especially highly regulated industries. So if you are an AI expert or an AI consultant, this means there's some pretty big opportunities. You might read into AI bans as a bad thing for you as a consultant, but in reality that means there is demand for the AI, but the company itself is not able to act on that. That's demand that you can go in and supply. This is why limitations and restrictions and bans on AI are actually kind of a positive thing for you.
