Kyle Balmer tests Grok2, X's new AI model, and finds it has almost no guardrails. It generates images of real people like Donald Trump and copyrighted characters like Iron Man without restrictions. He asks whether this freedom is good or dangerous.

Elon Musk's Twitter has released a new AI model. It's called Grok2 and it's the first public model I've seen where the guardrails have really been taken off. I was able to generate this image of Donald Trump, a recognized person, holding up a sign promoting my newsletter. I can also do copyrighted images like Iron man doing the same. Really? Anyone I want? Most AI models won't do this for legal reasons. Genuinely though, this seems to have no limits. I've been testing it to see what kind of copyright infringement it won't do and so far no luck. It's good to go. So what do you think? Is it exciting that we have a less censored, less guard railed AI out there? Or is the lack of guardrails a problem?
