There's one super annoying thing about AI and I want to show you how to avoid it. I give lots of workshops and I run into this in beginner workshops all the time. So I just wanted to do this PSA video just to make sure nobody else makes this mistake. The question is basically, how do you download ChatGPT? It sounds simple and it should be simple, but there are predatory companies out there who are basically taking the piss. This is exactly what I mean. If I search for ChatGPT on the Apple Store, I get this nonsense. This the first result up here. You'd expect this to be chatgpt. It is not. This is an ad. But Apple very annoyingly allow this to be at the top and to trick people into thinking it's real ChatGPT. In fact, the page is full of these fake ChatGPT clones. They use the same color, they use similar logos. They're trying to confuse you. The real one is this small one here that doesn't have all the fancy pictures. What you're looking for is it's published by a company called OpenAI. If it says OpenAI, that is the legitimate app. So that's how you download ChatGPT.
