Short single-speaker YouTube monologue (by Kyle Balmer) criticizing people who complain about new AI features. The speaker cites a Reddit complaint about Sora (a ChatGPT feature for generating up-to-one-minute near-realistic videos) and contrasts that with the March 2023 Will Smith spaghetti deepfake, arguing that progress has been extremely rapid. Main claim: current AI limitations are temporary—technology is improving fast, so users should appreciate progress rather than complain.

Sometimes humans can be really spoiled. We spend all our bloody time complaining instead of stepping back and kind of thinking, oh, okay, we've got some pretty cool stuff here. Just saw this post over on Reddit with a guy complaining about the new Sora. So after complaining and moaning about not having Sora for nearly a year, Sora finally came out last week and it allows us to generate pretty amazing videos up to a minute long using ChatGPT. This guy here, though, is complaining there's no lip sync. Like guy for real. This is phenomenal technology and it's not perfect. So you're going to go on Reddit and complain about it. Remember the Will Smith eating spaghetti video that came out in March 2023, not even two years ago? And now we have the ability to generate videos that are realistic quality up to a minute long. That is absolute light speed when it comes to technological development. A useful reminder every time you're using AI is that right now is the worst it's ever going to be. Moving forward. But a problem with ChatGPT not giving you the right answer. Wait 6 months, it probably will. All of these technologies are improving so fast all of the time that anything that we can't quite do now we will be able to do shortly. Until then, maybe just step back and think about how far we've come.
