Is artificial intelligence all hype. So there's a really good tweet here from Ethan Mollik saying that he's confused about the argument that Genai is a dud. Huge amounts of people are adopting AIs like ChatGPT, and we're already seeing huge productivity gains in the people who are using it. There are also controlled experiments showing 20 to 40% increases in productivity when it's deployed. So why are people still thinking it's a dud and overhyped? So I love what Ethan says here. He says, I think what folks mean is that companies haven't captured that value yet. Basically, we're in the infancy of using generative AI in our workplaces and professional lives. And. And most companies are still playing around. It's a toy. Retooling your entire workflow so that AI can be a part of it is a big job, and it requires some expertise in order to make sure that it doesn't go horribly wrong. So even when companies know that there's potential there, it's going to take some time before that potential is recognized in the business world. Exactly the same with the Internet. We had the Internet for years before it became prevalent like it is now. There's always a gap between a technology emerging and our implementation of that technology, and that's where we are now.
