This is a YouTube short titled "There’s an AI gender gap" (created 2024-10-28) consisting of a single-speaker social-media video/monologue about research showing men use AI more than women across regions (gaps up to ~25%). The speaker warns this could widen productivity and wage gaps, cites Ethan Mollet, highlights female creators (Bran, Nat, Sabrina, Ramanov, Shenandai Cat, GPT, Celia at SmartWorkai), and asks viewers to share thoughts in the comments.

AI gender gap is widening. More and more research is coming out showing that men are using AI a lot more than women. This is despite having equal access to the tools. Women are just using it less. And it's also happening globally. We're seeing the same patterns happening in Europe, America, Africa, doesn't matter where. Sometimes the gap is as large as 25%, like here. As Ethan Mollet points out here, it's using AI experience of it that makes you good at it. So this is kind of a worrying trend. AI has the potential to create massive productivity gaps with the people using AI being able to outstrip the people not being used AI in terms of productivity. This can potentially increase the wage gap as well. And if we're seeing the same distribution of male and female usage globally, it's going to increase the gender pay gap too. It is imperative that we close these gaps early on as they will just widen further down the road we go. I want to use this opportunity to shout out some of my favorite female creators here on TikTok. So we've got Bran, Nat, Sabrina, Ramanov, Shenandai Cat, GPT and Celia at SmartWorkai. This is such an important technology that we cannot allow it to be unequally distributed between groups. So. So what can we do better? Give me your thoughts in the comments.
