Women aren't using ChatGPT as much as men. And we've just got some data from A study of 100,000 workers in Denmark which suggests why. The data suggested that both men and women knew that it could increase their productivity, but women were using it much less than men in the workplace. Further digging into data shows that the main reason that women were given for not using ChatGPT at work was because they needed more training. Nearly half, 48% of the female respondents said that before they could use ChatGPT at work, they needed training. If you are an AI consultant or work in AI education in some way, there's a huge opportunity here. There's a gender training gap that you could potentially fill with your expertise. This is especially important if you believe that AI gives us massive benefits at work, because right now, disproportionately, it is men who are using these tools, which could mean the male portion of the working population is going to get productivity gains that the female portion is not. Considering how important AI is going to be, this could be really bad news for wage equality.
