You've wanted to build your personal brand for a while now. You know that you should be posting, and you know the people in your industry that are winning have the best personal brand. You know it's going to benefit every single factor of your business and of your quality of life, but there's just something in the way. Every single time you sit down to start, you hit the same barrier. What do I post? What format do I do? What do I say? Do I need a camera? Do I use my phone? It's all the same shit. So to try and fix that, you open Instagram, you start scrolling, you see a post, and you go, damn, that's a great idea. Maybe I'll that. You save the video and then you forget about it 2 hours later. But here's the truth, building a personal brand shouldn't be complicated, and that's because it isn't. And to be honest, you're just overthinking it because there are 4 easy-to-implement steps that you can do right now to get started. These 4 steps have laid the foundations for success for the business owners that I've helped worldwide, and when implemented correctly, will guarantee you success too. For example, this is my client Marty, and 30 days ago, this is what his profile looked like. There's nothing really working in his favor here, and he just looks like everyone else in his industry. And just like you, he didn't know how to take that first step into building a personal brand that would actually convert. So he reached out, and thank God he did, because within 30 days I helped him gain over 1,000 followers and more importantly double his income. And before I get into it, I want to make this clear: he didn't post 5 times a day, he didn't need to run ads, and he didn't need to work more hours for this to work. He simply just followed these 4 steps, and by the end of this video you'll know exactly what to do first to make this system work for you. It doesn't matter what business you run. It doesn't matter how old you are. It doesn't matter if you're making $20K, $30K, $40K a month. This system will work for you if followed correctly. Step 1, before we posted a single piece of content, we fixed the first thing that any potential client sees before even reaching out. That's his profile. Now, most business owners skip this because it may seem like a juvenile step. They want to just get straight into making content. But just think about it. If you had a video that had 5,000 views, a chunk of them will go onto your page and see what profile looks like. They're going to click on your username and they're going to decide within around 3 seconds whether they want to follow you or just keep scrolling and ignore you. So if your profile isn't optimized, you could get millions of views and it could all count for nothing because that's not enough for people to care. It's like pouring water into a bucket with a hole in it. So before we posted anything, we fixed 3 things immediately. The first thing we changed was his bio. We stopped describing what he does and described the transformation He wanted to give his ideal client. It's about time you realize that no one actually cares what you do. There's no point in stating that you're a professional barber or a licensed personal trainer or this or that. People don't care because so are 1,000 other people on Instagram. You have to understand that people buy outcomes. So we stated that straight away. So it's the first thing that everyone sees. This makes it clear for anyone that clicks onto his page that he's not just another barber. He's actually going to give them a positive outcome if they choose to go to him. Next, we focused on one of the most overlooked features of your personal brand, and that's your profile picture. Right now, if your profile picture is just a logo of your business or an unclear photo of yourself, I'm sorry to tell you, it does not matter what you post. Your profile is dead from the jump. So ensure you have a clear photo of your face so everything that I break down right now doesn't get killed because of your profile picture. Now that that's out of the way, we're moving on to step 3, which is the most important part of optimizing your profile, and that's your 3 pinned posts. Most business owners just decide to pin their top 3 viewed posts or just don't have any pinned posts at all, when really these 3 pieces of content should be the ones taken into most consideration. So with every client I work with, I ensure that their first 3 posts are their 3 pinned posts so it's sorted immediately. So let me break down what each one does now. Post 1 should be about your story, who you are, how you got to the position you're in now, why you started, everything in your journey that's relevant to where you are now and the person you are today. This is probably the hardest post you're going to put out, especially at the start. But I genuinely think this post alone has generated me tens of thousands of dollars because every client that I've gone with and worked with has mentioned that they've seen it before talking with me. This is the cheat code to connecting with your client and building something in common before you've even spoken to them. In post number 2 should relay your system, how you work, what's your process, and how is it different to everyone else This is your chance to break down why and how your program is going to deliver that transformation you put in your bio. So now the potential client knows who you are, knows what you do, but now it's time to show them that it works. So your third pinned post has to be your proof. This is the opportunity you get to talk about the results your system has already provided another client. Now numbers are important here, like it's important to say that, you know, Johnny made $10K a month before meeting me, and then after he's making $30K. But what's arguably more important than that is hammering home the transformation that you've been relaying in your system post and in your bio. Really focus on what changed in your client's life compared to what it was like before they started working with you. So just to sum it up, your story is going to make you relatable. The system post is going to make sure you're positioned as the authority, and the proof post is going to ensure that they trust you. Congratulations. You've just completed a whole DM conversation without saying a word, which is why clients going to come to you already pre-sold. Just a quick one before we keep going. If you've just looked at your profile and think, fuck, I've got a lot of work to do, well, don't stress because I've got you covered. There's a link in my description where you can book a free consultation with me where I'll break down exactly in your situation how you can position yourself as a one of one through your personal brand. So make sure you book that right now because why would you waste any more time than you already have? All right, let's move on to step 2, and that's doubling down on sharing your story. A lot of entrepreneurs that want to build their personal brand hesitate about this step the most because they're scared or they think they have to play the victim card and get some sort of sympathy. And that's how they're going to get clients when that's really not true at all. And that's why they never grow, because sharing your story is all about giving your audience a reason to invest into you and not just your service. Because here's the thing. Think about the entrepreneurs you already follow today. You don't follow them purely because they sell a course or their service. No, you follow them because you relate to part of their story and admire how they've gone through adversity and become the person that they are today. For example, my client Marty really struggled with confidence in his early days of barbering. But when we started posting about that, we reached a whole new demographic entirely, one that were actually invested into his personal journey. It didn't matter whether they were a barber, male or female, they could relate to a part of his story which gave them a reason to keep coming back to his page. And this is simply because the surface is what the client buys, but your story is why they choose you and not your competitor. And this leads me right into step 3, which is your positioning. Now, this is where most entrepreneurs get it completely wrong because they try to appeal to everyone. They hop on trends for the sake of trying to get views. But as the age-old saying goes, when you speak to everyone, you speak to no one. So you've got to get specific. Who are you talking to? What are the problems that they are facing? Then every piece of content you put out should be tailored around that person and the issues they're facing. You need to position yourself as the solution to their problem. And that's the difference, because an option gets compared on price, it gets compared on every little factor. But when you're already positioned yourself as the solution to a problem, the client knows what they're getting. And because a confused mind always says no, if you know what you're going to get, you're way more inclined to choose that option. Like, I'm sure you've been in this situation before when you've been treated as an option, where someone's just shopping around and you're just one of their options. But when you become the solution, the client becomes emotionally charged and attached to the outcome that you can bring and the positive change that you're going to bring to their lives. And that's why Marty's income doubled, not because more people found him, but because the right people found him. They already saw him as the obvious choice before they even booked. Even if Marty did gain over 1,000 followers from random trend content, content, that would have actually meant nothing because the followers that would have come in would have been expecting more funny content. And then if he fails to provide that, they're just going to leave and forget about him. And even if he does continue to provide that, he's not getting any closer to converting any of those followers to clients. And now on to the final step. This is the single most important factor that's going to allow you to compound trust with your audience every single day. But most entrepreneurs have limiting beliefs around even starting this type of content, and that is providing value. Now, here's what's funny about this. You're already making good money. You spent years building your business. You spent hours perfecting your craft and service. Yet most entrepreneurs feel like they don't have the right to teach, like they're not good enough, or it should be coming from another guy with more experience that's making more money. But give me a second while I break down this limiting belief for you, because that's the stupidest misconception ever. I urge all of my clients, no matter if you've been running your business for 6 months or 6 years, to provide value even before you feel like you're ready. Because one, you're never going to feel ready. And 2, there's always going to be someone who can benefit from hearing about what you have to say. And this doesn't mean you have to brag about what you know. In fact, it's the opposite. The way to make your value memorable is to link the message you're trying to send back to a moment in your journey. For example, if I was a personal trainer, I'd talk about this one form mistake was killing my gains for months, then get into how you rectified the issue. And all of a sudden you position yourself as the authority. Because a viewer could be making the same mistakes as you once were, and they've seen that you've come to the other side of it. So the trust is built instantly and you become the obvious choice to learn from. So in Marty's case, we identified that his ideal client might struggle with picking a style for their hair. So he started providing value on specific hair types and styles and talking about the mistakes that he used to make before he was a barber so that his audience don't make that same mistake and can see that he's the expert. This paired with real examples of Marty's solving the problem for his client in the chair is what made him the obvious choice and was a big factor in what doubled his income and client base. So with that being said, let's just run it all back one more time. Step 1, your profile. State the transformation you provide in your bio and have a clear profile picture with your face. And to ensure your 3-pin posts are doing the selling for you, make sure they include your story, your system, and your proof. Step 2, get comfortable with sharing your story. Give people a reason to care about you and not just the service that you provide, because remember, people buy the service because they followed the story. Step 3 is dialing in your positioning. Pick a client profile and get really clear on the issues they're facing. And once you, and once you start creating, and once you start creating content about solving that problem, you stop positioning yourself as an option, but instead position yourself as the solution. And step 4 is doubling down on your value. Teach people what you already know and link them back to a moment in your journey. That's what's going to turn you from someone who sells to become the obvious person to learn from. That's the exact foundation we set for Marty to not only transform his business, but his life too. He's no longer chasing clients. They're coming to him already pre-sold on what he has to offer and more importantly, pre-sold on the person he is simply because his personal brand already does the heavy lifting for him. Now, from this point on, you've got 2 options. You can just click off this video, be proud that you actually made it to the end because your attention span is probably cooked. And just say, you know, you'll start implementing in a couple of weeks or when you get less busy or January 1st. Whatever excuse helps you sleep at night. Or you can book your free consultation with me where I'll understand your specific situation and identify what needs to be fixed so you can stop being just another option and become the obvious choice in your industry. I'll show you which one of these 4 steps you're missing so you can move forward without guessing and stop wasting time. Marty chose option 2 and changed his life in 30 days. So why can't you? I look forward to speaking with you soon.
