Jai Krnac argues that chasing perfect content is procrastination that kills growth. He posted five times a day and credits consistency, not perfection, as what builds an audience. Stop waiting for the right moment. Start posting.

Perfection is procrastination, and that's something that I've learned from posting content every day. Perfection is procrastination. I've actually been posting five times a day the past week, and that phrase perfection is procrastination has never been more relevant. And I hear it all the time. Barbers I take calls with in the DMs, my clients, all of them, all of them have had factors stopping them from starting building their personal brand. The one common thread across all of that is they know what they want. But the fear of not being— the fear of not having it all figured out straight away is what's stopping them from starting at the end of the day. And people can sit here and say, oh, there's the money factor. I don't have enough money. And sometimes that is the case. But I think it's— I think if you look at it from the perspective of If you've got money to invest in yourself, whether it's content, whether it's equipment, whether it's anything that would actually help you grow, and you've got that money to invest— and when I say got that money, it's there, it's sitting there. You don't have to— like, there's no taking food off the table for yourself. You've actually got that money there. I think it's just a matter of priority. It's honestly just a matter of priority. That's what I think. If someone said they've got your mom hostage and you must build a personal brand that positions you as the expert, bro, how fast would you act? How fast would you post that first video? How fast would you— how quick would you be to implement everything that you're consuming online? All those, all that value. Even my page, I provide so much value and people say, oh, this is great. What you said is so true. Like, that is right. But do they implement it? That's another story. But I think it's a matter of priority at the end of the day. How much do you actually want the outcome that you're looking to seek? What you're seeking? How how much do you actually want the outcome that you're looking for? How much do you want to live that life? And I'm saying this from a place where I post five times a day, and this thought pops up into mind every single day because. I'm not perfect. Yeah, I'm a human too. I'm not a robot, believe it or not. So posting 5 times a day can get difficult, not because I don't know what to post, but purely because posting 5 times a day, it's an investment in itself. Content is a game of familiarity. Becoming familiar to the people that you want to reach. It's a game of repetition, putting the reps in. As I said, prioritizing just putting the reps in over perfection. Because I'll tell you right now, it would be impossible to put out 5 posts a day if I was sitting there like, oh, I don't know how my hair looks in this one. Oh, I don't know about how I said that word. Or, oh, I don't know if that's quite I wish that sentence really flows like I wanted it to be. Like, if I sat there and really did that for all 5 videos, I'll tell you, in a month maybe I post 5 videos, let alone 5 videos a day going out. And I'm not perfect. I really, I'm really not. I want to emphasize that I'm not perfect. And I grapple with the thoughts of how much do I really want it every single day. And I think that's a good thing. I do, because I always come back to my why. When you have a why, why you're doing this, that actually means something to you, you'll be fine. I honestly do think you'll be fine. That and a little bit of faith and belief in yourself. That's another thing. You just don't believe in yourselves enough. My gosh. And that just stems from the perfection is Perfection is procrastination whole ethos, because a lot of people don't have the belief in themselves to start with. They think, oh, I don't know if I'm in the position to be giving out advice. Oh, I don't know if this is really going to work. Is it going to get views? Oh, once you really detach from the result, detach from Oh, I don't know if this is going to get views. I don't know if people are going to like this. If once you really detach from that, that's the win. That's when you succeed because you're doing it. You're becoming the person you said you were going to become because I guarantee you the person you're looking to become or the outcome you're looking to achieve from building a personal brand, that person, the person you're trying to become, He posts and he posts freely. He doesn't stop to think, oh, I don't know about that one. Oh, I don't know if this is really going to hit. Is this really going to go viral? I guarantee you he doesn't think about that. Or she. They're not thinking about that. All they're thinking about is, okay, I know what I got to do today. I know what I gotta complete today. I've got my list of stuff to do. I'm gonna get shit done. I'm going to get shit done. That's what they're thinking of. So I think detaching from, detaching from the actual outcome, that's the win. And that's what you should be striving for, I think. And the reason why I push through and the reason why I'm telling you all this is because on the daily I'm in contact with barbers, and on the daily I'm seeing other barbers that are afraid to start. And it kind of reminds me of that, that one, that one video. I don't know his name, but it's like a pretty popular, like, soccer football meme, and it's like It, it can't go on like this, can it? It can. Bro, I butchered that, but I'll put the video up maybe. But, um, it kind of reminds you of that because it's like people get so caught up, people get so caught up in the whole perfection trap thing that Surely they're sick of it. Surely they're sick of doing nothing. But I don't think they are, because I don't think they want it enough, what they're trying to attain. I don't think they want it enough. So the question is, do you want it enough? And that's something I can't answer for you. Something's got to come from you. And if you feel like you do want it enough, I'll actually link down below a link to booking a call with me because I'll just want to chat with you, man. And I want to see if you're actually willing to put in the work alongside me to get there because I know what I do is going to help you get there. But it's just, do you want it enough? Think about anything in life, the gym. A sport, literally anything, the first day of you actually doing that sport or rocking up to the gym day one, you're not going to be the best. It's just facts. You're not going to be the best. It's the same with content. That's why you got to show up consistently to get better every day. So how can you expect Perfection when you haven't even showed up. That's like me saying I want to go to the gym and then buying a gym membership, and then every time I'm about to go to the gym, I get in my car and I'm like, oh, I don't know, I don't know about this one. I don't know if I should go to the gym. What if, what if my form's not perfect? What if, what if there's someone bigger than me? And then you just go back inside and don't go to the gym. Do you expect to get bigger muscles? Do you expect to be better than you were? No, that's actually stupid to think that. It's the same with content. It's the exact same. You're going to be stuck on zero posts as long as you don't post. And it sounds so stupid saying that out loud because it's so simple. But the amount of time you spend wasting on like, oh, is this perfect? I don't know if I can post this. I don't know. I'm scared. Do I this, that? At the end of the day, that number is going to stay zero until you click post and it goes to one. You say, okay, I like how I did that. What if I tried this? Then it goes to 2, to 3, to 4. And then by the time you know it, It's gonna become like breathing. You just click that post button. It's like, okay, another one, another one's out. Until you find what works for you. But you will never know if you don't start. So start, please. Thank you.
