Eating out at restaurants is tough because generally every fried thing on that menu is gonna be done in canola oil or some seed oil. And as you know, those are really damaging. They cause oxidative stress in the body leading to cancer or joint pain, obesity. I take what I get with gratitude and try to avoid the fried stuff and just take what I can that I see that is real food, as close to it as possible. And sometimes you'd be surprised what you can ask for. For example, when I got to Mongolia, we're in this nice hotel. There we would say if they had butter, hey, can you cook these eggs in butter? Because they're probably gonna do it in some random oil, but you Just ask, and sometimes they say yes, they can accommodate you. Do the best you can under your circumstances, and you have to let the rest go.
Restaurants, they have bottom lines. How they make their money is sometimes choosing cheaper ingredients, and then the ones that don't do that are just so expensive, it's not sustainable for most people. It's true.
