A doctor told someone with gout to cut red meat and eat more vegetables, but said nothing about sunlight, movement, or purpose. The conversation questions whether medicine treats symptoms to protect profits instead of addressing what actually causes illness.
It sounds like you did the exact opposite of what the medical system tells people how to deal with the symptoms of gout.
Oh yeah. I mean, they told me cut out the red meat, start eating more vegetables. They didn't mention anything about lifestyle, like getting out in the sun or more movement in your life, even living your life for purpose. You know, whatever it is, it's always, okay, here's your symptom, here's how we stop your symptom. It's not why do you actually have this problem in the first place?
Do you feel like these are hypocritical institutions?
Oh, of course. I mean, the American Cancer Society talking about what they say, 50% of people in their lifetime are going to get cancer, and then they give the treatments, and all these treatments do is make them tons and tons of money. And there are like ways that people have dealt with cancer for a long time that are natural type of remedies. Yeah, these people are total hypocrites. When you are going and calling out hypocrisy, it doesn't really change anything because the people in power don't care that they're hypocritical. It doesn't change the fact that they're still the ones metaphorically holding the gun to your head.
