In this 1‑minute guided mindfulness episode (episode 250 of the 250 Mornings series), the host acknowledges that a quiet mind is rare and that the purpose of mindfulness is not to stop thoughts but to notice when the mind wanders and gently return to the present breath. Listeners are invited to inhale, allow thoughts to flow, and exhale with a compassionate commitment to smile and refocus. The speaker thanks the audience for repeatedly returning to the practice, encourages sharing the episode for others’ peace, and asks viewers to subscribe for daily short sessions. The segment concludes with a brief AAA insurance advertisement.

Welcome. I'm so glad you're here. Today is episode 250. 250 mornings. And I want to tell you what I've learned from every single one of them. Nobody here always has a quiet mind. Not you. Not me. Definitely not me. We're spending this week on overthinking. So let me be clear about something right away. The goal of mindfulness was never to stop your thoughts. Good luck with that. Your brain has been thinking since before you could spell brain. The practice is coming back. You drift off into the grocery list, the email, the thing you said in 2009, and then you notice and you come back. That noticing, that's the whole thing. Every time you've pressed play on one of these episodes, you've come back, some of you, 250 times. That's not a failure to focus. That's a very strong muscle. So right now, please take a breath in. And as you do, tell yourself you will be letting your thoughts do whatever they want. And when you catch yourself wandering, you will not scold yourself. You're going to exhale with the commitment to simply smile and come back here to this moment and breathe. Thank you for coming back with me over and over. It means more than I can say. I'm sending you so much love. And if there's someone that comes to mind that could use a little peace, please share this with them. And please subscribe to keep returning to peace in under 2 minutes a day. Thank you so much for being here with me today.
