A two-minute guided meditation that helps you notice tension your body holds from past stress or trauma your mind forgot. The practice uses the affirmation "my body is holding something" to acknowledge what you're carrying without needing to understand it, then offers kindness to yourself.

Welcome. I'm so glad you're here. Have you ever walked into a place or heard a certain voice or smelled something specific and felt like your body braced before you understood why? That's not your imagination. Your body keeps a record your mind doesn't always have access to— old stress, old fear, old moments you thought you'd moved past. Your mind can forget a lot. Your body rarely does. This isn't something to fix. It's something to acknowledge gently. Please take a slow breath in and tune into if you're feeling tension somewhere in your body or mind you can't really explain right now. You don't need to know the whole story behind it. Hold. And as you exhale, please say to yourself, my body is holding something. My body is holding something. And that's allowed. You don't owe your body an explanation before you offer it a little kindness. Start there. The understanding can come later, if it comes at all. Give yourself a little hug and a thank you for taking this time today to tune into your body. I'm sending you so much love. If there's someone that comes to mind that could use a little peace, please share this with them. And please subscribe to keep returning to peace daily in under 2 minutes a day. Thank you so much for being here with me today.
