A guided meditation on treating anxious thoughts as weather, not commands. Label hard thoughts with "I'm having the thought that," then breathe to create space between the thought and your response. The practice breaks the cycle where anxiety triggers physical stress.

Welcome. I'm so glad you're here. Sometimes a thought shows up. I can't do this, or they're upset with me, or something's wrong, and your body treats it like an order. Heart rate up, shoulders tight, off you go down the rabbit hole. But a thought is not a fact, and it's definitely not an instruction. It's just weather. Passing through. Try this. The next time a hard thought shows up today, say to yourself quietly, I'm having the thought that... and finish the sentence. I'm having the thought that I'm behind. I'm having the thought that they're upset with me. That small phrase puts a little space between you and the thought, enough space to remember, You get to choose what you do next. The thought doesn't get to choose for you. Take a breath in, and as you do, give yourself permission to create space when you catch an intrusive thought today. Hold and exhale, holding the relief and the inner power that brings. You do indeed hold the power over your thoughts. They are not instructions. I'm sending you so much love. If there's someone who comes to mind that could use a little more peace in their life, please share this with them. And please subscribe to keep returning to peace in under 2 minutes a day. Thank you so very much for being here with me today.
