Jesse Ewell shares three ways to make content that actually reaches your target audience: define them by life stage and situation, not just age; speak directly to their specific problems like juggling marriage and business; and vary your formats across short posts, images, and stories.

Here's three ways to create content towards your target audience. Number one, most people get caught up in age. What is the 10 year age gap that they actually have? What that means is that somebody's going to be between 45, 55, you know, what is their status? Do they have kids? Not kids. Are they married? Where are they at as far as their career? Once you know those things, they have problems. Okay, and what you want to do next? Number two is you want to split. Speak to their problems or their frustrations. So think about if I'm married and I'm trying to juggle my business. That's called the triangle of insanity. So somebody in that triangle is going to know exactly how you're speaking to them, those problems. You start speaking to that specific person through your content. Number three is this. You have to make a variety of content. What that means is whether it's a real Twitter style post or a picture post, or even a transformation post, your audience likes to read all of it, or maybe even stories. And so there's a variety of content that you have. I wouldn't get caught up in just making one type. And so this will help you understand your ideal client, it'll help you speak to them, and it'll help you create content specifically for them.
