Followers in 2026 do not matter. If you want to make money now, they may matter in terms of, you know, making me feel better about myself. Having followers in 2018 was way more important. Having followers in 2022 was way more important. Now the game is if you're in business and you want to make money, you really only need a couple thousand followers to actually do that. They need to be the right type, and you need to know the exact followers you're looking for or friends you're looking for. But you don't need 200,000 followers to. I've seen people with less than a thousand make 30 to $40,000 a month. I've seen people with a couple hundred thousand followers not making any money on their audience. So followers do not matter. But how you show up online does.
