A speaker argues weakness contradicts human nature and that people are built to be strong and driven to improve. True humility comes from confidence, not from wanting to be weak. Power means the capacity to act effectively, and pursuing perfection is fundamental to being human.

Oh! I'll tell you what I've got against weakness. It's not our nature. It's as simple as that. We're not designed to be weak. And too many people confuse weakness with humility. Authentic humility is not weakness. Authentic humility comes from great strength. Strength. You can't display authentic humility without being very sure of yourself, without having some confidence there. Weakness— did you ever get up in the morning, add to your to-do list, and you say, "Today I want to learn how to become weaker"? You see? Now you may say, "I want to learn how to become more humble." That's fine. That's a good goal. But weakness, no. Power is your ability or capacity to act or perform effectively. That's what it's all about, and that's what that whole process of perfection is about. That's one of the greatest human motivators. We want to be better. We want to be better people. We're builders and conquerors and, and adventurers. So it's our nature to be powerful. It is not our nature to be weak. Just stop doing it.
